John Bugel, Jr.
John Bugel, Jr., 84, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp., died Sunday, February 3, 2002 at Holy Spirit Hospital, E. Pennsboro Twp.
He was a retired Warrant Officer of the Counter Intelligence Corps of the US Army. He was a veteran of WWII and Korea. He was a member of VFW Post 7415 and American Legion Post 143, both of New Cumberland; Voiture No. 9, 40 et 8, York Co.; Lowther Manor Lodge No. 781, F & AM, Camp Hill; and Goldsboro Fireman's Club.
He was born April 4, 1917 in Alden, PA to the late John and Elizabeth Hudack Bugel, Sr.
He was the widower of Theresa Romanelli Bugel. A companion, Annie Hornbaker of Lewistown; a daughter, Donna Marie Clark of Hatfield, MA; two brothers, Nick Bugel of Niagara Falls, NY and Mike Bugel of San Francisco, CA; several nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren survive him.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland. Burial with Military Honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp.
Viewing will be from 10am until time of funeral service with a VFW service at 10:30am.

Anna B. Cordes
Anna B. Cordes, 91, of New Cumberland, PA, died Tuesday, January 08, 2002, at Woodland Center for Nursing, Fairview Twp.
She was a retired seamstress and dressmaker in the Laurel Springs, New Jersey area.
She was born June 14, 1910, in Budapest, Hungary, to the late George and Rosa Wormlinger Balint.
She was the widow of Julius P. Cordes. She is survived by a son, William H. Cordes, New Cumberland; two daughters, Joan M. Ickler, New Cumberland, and Bonnie J. Scahill, New Fairfield, CT; 8 grand children; and 4 great grand children.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Carl Ford Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
Viewing will be 1:30-2pm Saturday in the funeral home.

Lucille M. Dalbey
Lucille M. Dalbey, 79, of Mechanicsburg, Silver Spring Twp., died Tuesday, November 6, 2001 as a result of an automobile collision in the Village of New Kingston.
She was a member of First Church of God, New Cumberland and its woman's group.
She was born September 28, 1922 in Lower Allen Twp. to the late Russell and Sarah Poole.
She is survived by her husband, William W. Dalbey, Jr.; three sons, William W., III of Newville, Matthew S. of Dillsburg, and Paul D. of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Deborah E. Enders of Carlisle; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Friday at her church. Burial will be in Slate Hill Mennonite Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
Visitation will be from 9:30am until time of service Friday at the church.

Clarence E. "Putt" Davis
Clarence E. "Putt" Davis, 70, of Dillsburg, Carroll Twp., died Thursday, November 01, 2001 at his residence.
A WWII Army Veteran, he was a retired supervisor from Quaker Oats, Shiremanstown. He was a member of New Cumberland American Legion William H. Nauss Post 143. He was an avid outdoorsman.
He was born December 7, 1930 in West Fairview to the late William and Laura Ida (Spong) Davis.
His wife, Lois S. Davis; two sons, Timothy S. of East Berlin and Donald L. of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Louise Mains of Ephrata; a brother, Robert J. Davis of Wormleysburg; and a sister, Lucille Schuman of Mechanicsburg, survive him.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Monday, at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Viewing will be from 6-8pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Richard F. Dissinger
Richard F. Dissinger, 82, of Carroll Twp. died Monday December 10, 2001 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Lower Paxton Twp.
He was a retired Manufacturer's Representative for auto parts retail and a member of First Church of God, New Cumberland.
He was born 4/4/1919 in Harrisburg to the late Joseph & Clara (Firth) Dissinger.
He is survived by his wife Beverly M. (Kohler) Dissinger; 2 sons, Richard F. Dissinger, II and Barry L. Dissinger, both of Dillsburg; and a niece.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 pm Wednesday 12/12/2001 in East Harrisburg Cemetery, Susquehanna Twp.

Barbara J. Doran
Barbara J. Doran, 73, of Lower Allen Township, died Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
She was a retired kindergarten teacher at Rosmoyne and Lower Allen Elementary Schools in the West Shore School District. She was graduate of the former Lemoyne High School and West Chester State Teacher's College and attended Columbia University in New York City; she was very active in Harrisburg Community Theater and was a performer in dramatic roles as well as musical theater; a member of the Harrisburg Community Theater Guild; Cumberland County Republican Committee; member and former president of the Federation of Councils of Republican Women of Cumberland County; member and former president of New Cumberland Republican Women; life member and former president of Soroptimist International of West Shore; a member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church, Camp Hill; West Shore Humane Society.
She was born March 15, 1928, in Altoona, PA to the late Frank and Dorothy Wagner Doran.
Surviving her are several cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11am Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Reasey, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood, PA on Tuesday at 11:30am.
Visitation will be 10-11am Monday in the funeral home.

Sean D, Downey
Sean D. Downey, 42, of Newport died Thursday, January 31, 2002 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was an accomplished musician playing and teaching banjo and hammer dulcimer. He had been a songwriter and performer in the Blue Grass Band High Strung; was active in Perry County Council of the Arts and Buffalo Enterprises, Inc. and was instrumental in the construction of the performing arts stage at Little Buffalo State Park. He was a member of the Dancer's Workshop of Harrisburg;
He was a banquet server at Country Club of Harrisburg. He also previously worked as an investment banker for Keystone Financial and stockbroker for Prudential and Merrill Lynch. He was an environmental activist and member of TMI Alert. He was an avid hiker and runner.
He was born March 26, 1959 in Queens, New York City to the late George Allen and Eileen Frances (Lowery) Downey.
His wife, Melinda; a daughter, Shannon Rebecca Downey at home; and a sister, Kelly Ann Keiner of Millsboro, DE, survive him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Saturday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. There will be no viewing or visitation.
