Melissa A. Weir, 46, of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill died Wednesday March 20, 2002 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and Alternatives of United Cerebral Palsy, Camp Hill.
She was born 10/9/55 in Harrisburg Hospital. She is survived by her parents Elmer C. and L. Pat (Mellon) Weir of Lower Allen Twp.; 5 sisters, Marion M. Filson of Lewisberry, Margaret R. Fulton of New Cumberland, Marie P. Metzger of Etters, Marilyn L. Wheatley of Lewisberry and Patricia A. Danner of Etters; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 pm Monday 3/25/2002 in her church with the Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence, her pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Viewing will be from noon until 1 pm Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

Ernest Carl Welker, Jr., 49, of Newberry Twp., PA, died Friday, March 8, 2002, at Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA.
He was a self-employed independent contractor; a member of the American Legion, Post 974, Fairview Twp., it's pool team and the Sons of the American Legion; V.F.W. Post 537, Etters, and it's dart team; Goldboro Fireman's Club; VFW post 7530, Lower Allen Twp.
He was born February 16, 1953, in Harrisburg, PA, to the late Ernest C., Sr. and Alice Mae (Reneker) Welker.
He is survived by a fiancée, Shirley M. Stonesifer; a son, Erik C. Welker; two daughters, Tiffany L. Hettinger, Lewisberry, and Becky D. Puliti, New Cumberland; three sisters, Ruth Nauss, New Cumberland, Gail M. Welker, Shrewsbury, and Lucky Sipe, York Haven; three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 6pm Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland with the Rev. Carl Ford Peterson officiating.
Visitation will be 5-6pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Florence H. Shupnik Wilkes, of Lemoyne, died Thursday, March 7, 2002
at her home.
She was a retired Supervisor for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.
She was born in Kingston, PA to the late Joseph and Helen Shupnick.
She was the widow of Lawrence J. Wilkes. She is survived by two sons, Lawrence T. of York and Joseph F. of Weslaco, TX; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm Monday at her church.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp.
Viewing will be from 11:30 to 12:30pm Monday at the Parthemore Funeral Home, Inc., New Cumberland.
GORDON D. WILLIS
Gordon D. Willis, 81, of New Cumberland, died Monday, March 25, 2002
at Holy Spirit Hospital.
He was a retired contractor/builder from the former Willis Brothers, New Cumberland. He was a member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland.
He was born August 4, 1920 in New Cumberland to the late Harry and Edith Willis.
He is survived by his wife, Helene E. Willis; a daughter, Pamela H. Rosnick of Pittsburgh; and two grandchildren, Eric D. and Jennifer E. Rosnick of Pittsburgh.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
Viewing will be from 1pm until time of service.

Ralph R. Bachman
Ralph R. Bachman, 84, of Mechanicsburg, PA, died Thursday, July 04, 2002 at the Lebanon V.A. Medical Center, Lebanon, PA.
He was a retired derrick operator for Conrail, Enola; a Korean War Army veteran; and a member of the Transportation Workers Union, Enola.
He was born May 15, 1918, in Northampton, PA, to the late Harold and Margaret (Rice) Bachman.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan L. Prescott, York Haven; two brothers, Gerald, FL, and Donald, Harrisburg; a sister, Evelyn Houseal, Etters; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held 1pm Monday, July 15, 2002, in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
There will be no viewing or visitation.

Kermit L. Benfer
Kermit L. "Ben" Benfer, 93, of Hummelstown and formerly of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Frey Village, Middletown.
He was retired as Vice President of Mellon Bank East. He was a member of Pewter Collectors Club of America, Philadelphia Archery Club, West Shore Rotary Club and the Lutheran Faith. In addition to the previous memberships, he enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
He was born March 6, 1909 in Beaver Springs, PA to the late Frank A. and Annie J. "Lepley" Benfer.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Kratzer Benfer; his children, thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30am Saturday, August 3rd at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Inurnment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
There will be no viewing or visitation.

Margie L. (Gingrich) Chubb, 61, of Camp Hill died Monday, June 10, 2002, at home.
She was a self employed Day Care Provider and previously an employee for the former Jewelcor in Mechanicsburg. She was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School and of the United Methodist faith. She was born in Cove, Perry Co., PA.
She is survived by her husband Clarence L. Chubb; 3 daughters, Lee Ann Trayer of Marysville, Kelly L. Stumbaugh of Camp Hill and Kristin K. Pool of Chambersburg; a son C. Lamar Chubb of Newberry Twp.; her mother Nellie (Stone) Snyder of Camp Hill; 2 sisters, Sandra K. Chrisp of Fayetteville and Carol D. Tehl of Enola; a brother Charles R. Gingrich of Enola; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be held 10:30 am Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Floyd R. Carlen, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Peace Church Cemetery, Hampden Twp.
