Olive R. Plummer
Olive R. Plummer, R.N. 90, of Harrisburg went to heaven July 19, 2002.
Olive was born in Benton, PA in 1912.
While attending school she earned perfect attendance in the years of 1923 and 1924 as a college student at Bloomsburg State University. She received her diploma to become a registered nurse on July 24, 1935. Her nursing career went on into the 1970's where toward the end of her career she became a private duty nurse for the elite doctors of Central Pennsylvania and their families. Because they wanted the absolute best care for themselves they called on Olive Plummer.
Surviving are a sister, Doris Brady; a daughter, Patricia; and a grandson, Michael.
A private ceremony to honor her life will be held.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Instead of Memorial Contributions, Flowers, etc., please if you have a loved one in a nursing care facility visit them as often as possible. It makes a world of difference. Dorothy E. Shindle
Dorothy E. Shindle, 90, formerly of New Cumberland, died Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a retired employee for the Commonwealth of PA, Dept. of Transportation; and she was a member of Red Land Baptist Church, New Cumberland.
She was born November 15, 1911 in Loysville, PA, to the late Harry and Vernie (Boyer) Fuller.
She was the widow of Carl Shindle.
She is survived by four daughters, Paula Grippo, Corethia Turri, and Shelby Seltzer, all of Mechanicsburg, and Linda James, Harrisburg; a sister, Amanda Fuller of Duncannon; Seven grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Lower Paxton Twp.
There will be no viewing or visitation.

Major Richard S. Sites
Major Richard S. Sites, U.S. Army, Retired, 68, of Camp Hill died Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at his residence.
He was a retired U.S.Army Major for over 20 years and the former owner-operator of the Village Deli, West Shore Plaza, Lemoyne. He was a member of West Shore Baptist Church, Camp Hill and the Retired Officers Association.
He was born July 17, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late Edmond N. and Mildred (Royal) Sites.
He is survived by his wife Jessie L. (Stark) Sites; a daughter Carolyn H. Wolf of Etters; a son Mark Sites of Camp Hill; a sister Joan B. Iacullo of Chicago, IL; 3 brothers, Edmond of Chicago, IL, John of Bel Alton, MD, and Royal of Terrell, TX; 4 grandchildren.
Services will be held 11 am Monday in his church with Pastor Douglas M. Baker officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service Monday in the church.

Harry Eugene Steffen
Harry Eugene Steffen, Sr., 99, of Lewisberry, died Saturday, June 29, 2002. He was born February 8, 1903 in Selinsgrove to the late Jacob Francis Steffen and Ida Isbell Wren Steffen.
He was married to Beatrice Elizabeth Miller of June 12, 1925. Beatrice preceded him in death on July 31, 1984.
Surviving Children are Mary Calhoun of Lewisberry, Phyllis Spaseff of Harrisburg, Gary Steffen of Lewisberry, and Nancy Plessinger of Mechanicsburg. Harry Eugene Steffen, Jr. preceded his father in death. Mr. Steffen has 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 1921, and Susquehanna University in 1925. He graduated with teaching degree in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English. He held a Masters degree from Penn State University. He taught at Selinsgrove High School, was Principal at Lower Mahanoy Twp. High School in Dalmatia, and taught at Steelton High School. He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Plant in Steelton as an Engineer in the Metallurgical Department from 1942 until retirement in 1968. He was a member of and teacher at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church while living in Steelton and Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church after moving to Lewisberry. He was a 50 plus year member of the Steelton-Swatara Lodge No. 775, F & AM having transferred from the Lafayette Lodge No. 194 F & AM of Selinsgrove along with various hunting and fishing organizations. He was a member of Red Land Senior Citizen Center and an avid fisherman and gardener.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisberry with viewing from 10 to 10:45am.
Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Twp.

William Lloyd Walker
William Lloyd Walker, A.B., D.D.S., 83 of Bethany Village Cottages and formerly of New Cumberland where he served the community as a dentist for 40 years, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a WWII Army Veteran having served in the Dental Corps. He was a graduate of the former New Cumberland High School, Gettysburg College, and Temple University Dental School. His Post Graduate Studies included: Emory University, Atlanta-Implant Surgery; University of Pennsylvania School of Graduate Medicine-Hypnotherapy; Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, NY-Hypnotherapy; University of Colorado-Prosthodontics; Ohio State University-Prosthodontics; and University of Maryland-Prosthodontics. His professional Societies included: American Dental Association and Subordinatr Groups-Life Member; American Prosthodontis Society; American Society of Clinical Hypnosis; and Royal Society of Health, Great Britain. He served on the Board of Directors of: Navy League of the US, Harrisburg Chapter; Medical Bureau of Harrisburg, Vice President; Harrisburg Area Chamber of Commerce; and Society for Crippled Children and Adults. His hospital affiliations included Masonic Hospital, Elizabethtown Dental Department for thirty-five years and Harrisburg Hospital, Department of Oral Surgery. He received the Koser Award from Harrisburg Area Dental Society. He was honored at the annual Testimonial Dinner of the New Cumberland Olde Towne Assn. for his long service to the community. He was an author of Published articles on Prosthodontics; gave clinics on Prosthodontics in twelve states including the West Coast; and is listed in "Who is Who in the East." He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland where he served as treasurer for fourteen years. Past Master of West Shore Lodge No. 681, F & AM, Consistory, Zembo Shrine, Past President of National Sojourners, Past Commander of Heroes of '76, and a Fellow in Royal Order of Scotland. He was a member of Military Liaison Committee and West Shore Country Club, Camp Hill.
He was born September 5, 1918 in Lemoyne to the late Lloyd M. and Romaine (Senseman) Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Chalmers Walker; two sons, Lt. Col. James W. Walker, US Army, Retired of Ocean Grove, NJ and Thomas L. Walker of Camp Hill; a sister, Lourene Barto of Carlisle; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 11am Saturday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland with his Pastor, The Rev. Elaine M. Dent officiating.
Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Roland K. Wise
Roland K. Wise, 83, of Lemoyne died Sunday, July 14, 2002, in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a WWII Army veteran and a member of Perseverance Lodge #21, F&AM, Harrisburg; Harrisburg Consistory; Zembo Shrine; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, York Forest #30; American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland; and VFW Post #6771, Dillsburg.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn (Killick) Wise.
Services will be held 11 am Wednesday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry.
Visitation will be one half hour prior to services Wednesday in the funeral home.

Barbara E. Albright
Barbara E. Albright, 53, of Northumberland, and formerly of Camp Hill, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at Sunbury Community Hospital.
She was a High School Chemistry Teacher for Shikellamy School District and served as an Advisor for the National Honors Society. She graduated in 1967 from Trinity High School and in 1971 from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Danville, PSEA, NEA, and SEA. She was dedicated to her students.
She was born November 11, 1949 in Harrisburg to George M. Sr. and Florence Novak Albright.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, George M., Jr. of Mountain Top; a sister, Laura J. Walters of Dillsburg; a niece, Amanda Albright of Rosemont; and nephew, George M., III of Mountain Top.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Tuesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.
Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10am Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
