Theda Jean (Eppley) Hartman, 81, formerly of New Cumberland, died Monday, June 28, 2004, at Sabal Palms, Largo FL.
She was a retired Secretary for the Fairview Twp. Administration offices; a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, New Cumberland; and a former member of the New Cumberland Woman's Club. Mrs. Hartman was born February 12, 1923, in Newberry Township, York Co., to the late William B. and Myrtle (Stetler) Eppley. She was the widow of Robert Marshall Hartman.
Surviving are three sons, William R., Clarkston, MI, Randall L., Little River, SC, and Todd M., Seminole, FL; a sister, Evelyn Criswell, Fishertown, PA; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Elaine M. Dent officiating. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery, Newberry Twp. Visitation will be held 10 - 11 am Friday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Capital Region Division, 1517 Cedar Cliff Drive, Camp Hill, Pa 17011.

Valerie A. McCauslin
July 3, 2004
Valerie A. McCauslin, 52, died on Saturday, July 3, 2004 at her home in Etters, PA as a result of a farming accident. She had lived on the farm most of her life.
She was a part-time tax clerk for Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz, a dedicated farm wife and mother, and a graduate of Red Land High School. Valerie was a member of Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church and E.C.T.R.A (Eastern Competitive Trail Ride Association). Valerie will be remembered most for her great love of her family, friends, and animals. Her horses, Chet and Remmy; her dogs, Chuck, Rocky, and Sasha; her cats, Merg and Morris; will be lost without her. Her happiest moments in recent memory have been the times she spent on horseback with her great friends and riding buddies, whether it was a simple pleasure ride or a competition.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Edward C. McCauslin, Jr; daughter, Stacey McCauslin Schilling and her husband, Steven of York Haven; son, Mark McCauslin of Etters; her mother and father, James and Mary McAllister of Etters; her brother, Todd McAllister and his wife, Kristine of Etters; her niece, Kathleen McAllister of Etters; her nephews, Daniel and Joseph McAllister of Etters; her mother-in-law, Myrtle McCauslin of Mechanicsburg; and father-in-law, Edward C. McCauslin, Sr. and his wife, Patricia of Bethany Beach, Del.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, July 8 at Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church, Etters, PA. There will be visitation from 6 to 8 p.m, Wednesday, July 7 and from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, July 8 at Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to E.C.T.R.A., PO Box 738, Kent, CT 06757, or to the SPCA of York County, 66 Big Mount Road, Thomasville, PA 17364 .

Malinda S. Werkheiser
July 2, 2004
Malinda S. Werkheiser, 62, of Shiremanstown died Friday July 2, 2004 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a member of Carlisle Church of Christ, Carlisle and formerly attended Freedhardeman University in Henderson, TN. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed reading and crocheting. Mrs. Werkheiser was born December 30, 1941 in Harrisburg to Earl R. and J. Geraldine (Snoke) Steever of Mechanicsburg.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband Gary L. Werkheiser; a daughter Wendy W. Hames of Knoxville, TN; 2 sons, Jeffrey L. of Lancaster and Cory L. of Cookeville, TN; a sister Rebecca Tedder of Beaufort, SC; and 4 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday July 6, 2004 in her church with Kevin E. Key officiating. A private burial and committal service will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Hampden Twp. Ambulance Assn., 295 S. Sporting Hill Rd. Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 or to Advanced Life Support of Holy Spirit Hospital, 503 N. 21st St. Camp Hill, PA 17011.

Dorothy W. Dello Iacono
July 8, 2004
Dorothy W. (Whitney) Dello Iacono, 76, of Camp Hill, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2004 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was an elementary school teacher with the West Shore School District, becoming known as “Mrs. Dello” and retiring after 25 years; a former Director of Children’s Nursery in Massapequa, NY; a former teacher at the Light House for the Blind, New York City; and a member of the 1949 graduating class of Penn State University. She enjoyed needle crafts. Mrs. Dello Iacono was born July18, 1927, in Jefferson, Greene County, PA, to the late Charles F. and Nelle D. (Rogers) Whitney and was preceded in death by a sister, Anne Broadwater, who had resided in Hershey.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, John “Jack” Dello Iacono; three daughters and their husbands, Krista and Stephen Creekpaum of Slippery Rock, PA, Anne and Glenn Ebersole of Etters, PA, Merril and Dean Buckhorn of Hopkins, MN; and six grand children.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Carl Ford Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be held 6 – 8 pm Monday, July 12, 2004, in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Central Pa, 3001 Old Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.

Charles S. Crider
July 9, 2004
Charles S. Crider, 80, of Mechanicsburg, died Friday, July 9, 2004, at Holy Spirit Hospital.
He was a retired school teacher from Manheim Township High School and a member of Grantham Brethren in Christ Church. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Shippensburg State in 1950 and was a school teacher for almost 30 years before retiring in 1979. He subsequently worked in the office for RK AgriService, Hershey Paper Company and, for the last sixteen years, Hanford Publishing Company. Charles was active in the Lancaster Brethren in Christ Church, where he was a deacon, youth group leader and quiz director for many years before moving to Messiah Village.
He is survived by his wife Henrietta (Pat) Crider; two sons, Steve and his wife Shelley of Lancaster, and Greg and his wife Jule of Kensington, MD; a daughter, Laurie Crider Coats and her husband Jimmy of Tyler, TX; and three grandchildren; Diane, Karen, and Philip Crider all of Lancaster.
Private interment will be in Manor Brethren in Christ Church Cemetery, Manor Twp. A public memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 17th, at the Messiah Village Chapel in Mechanicsburg. Visitation will follow the service.

Margaret L. Kell
July 9, 2004
Margaret L. Kell, 86, of Camp Hill, died Friday, July 9, 2004 at Harrisburg Hospital.
She was an executive secretary with the former Pennsylvania Farmers Association until she retired in 1983. She graduated from the former Lemoyne High School and Thompson Institute of Harrisburg and was a member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church in New Cumberland.
She was the widow of Frank E. Kell, Sr. She is survived by a son, Darwin D. Kell of Carlisle; daughter, Marcia A. Finkelstein of Harrisburg; her "sister" Frances E. Yohe of Lemoyne; six grandchildren, Daphne Dorsey, Darwin "Sam" Kell, Jr., Stephanie Walter, Angela Lower, Michael Martin, and Sara Lower; and a great-grandchild, Patrick "P.J." Dorsey
Memorial services, led by her pastor, Rev. Robert Graybill, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Shiremanstown. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church, Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, 228 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070; to Helen O. Krause Animal Foundation, Inc. P.O. Box 311, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055-0311; or in her name to West Shore Foundation, P.O. Box 803, New Cumberland, PA 17070-0803 to foster academic scholarships for Cedar Cliff High School students.

Dorothy S. Johnson
July 11, 2004
Dorothy S. Johnson, 77, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, died Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was a retired cashier for the former Camp Hill and Harrisburg Locations of A & P food stores; a former employee of West Shore Children’s Center that was located at Grace Lutheran Church, Camp Hill. The daughter of the late Elmer C. and Amelia (Schoelles) Lederhouse, she was born November 21, 1926, in Buffalo, NY.
Surviving are a son, John R., New Buffalo, three daughters, Louise A. Hunter, Hunlock Creek, Emily J. Boyer, Etters, and Rhonda M. Stuck, York; two sisters, Ora Manges and Verna Bicheler; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Capital Region Unit, 3211 N. Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, Pa 17110. Arrangements are under the direction of Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
