H. Ross Richey, 82, formerly of New Cumberland, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at Bethany Village, Lower Allen Twp.
He was a retired traffic engineer for the former Bell Telephone Co. of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg; an Army veteran having served in Okinawa, Japan during WWII and also during the Korean conflict; a former school director for the West Shore School District; a Holy Spirit Hospital Volunteer; a member of the Bell Pioneers; New Cumberland Olde Towne Assn.; and a former member of the Harrisburg Bridge Club. Mr. Richey was born November 25, 1921, in Stewartstown, York Co., to the late Harry and Madolyn (Sponsler) Richey. He was the widower of Patricia R. (Shaffer) Richey
Surviving are a daughter, Suzanne R. Fechter, Mechanicsburg; two sons, Brian R. Richey, Hummelstown, and J. Thomas Richey, Harrisburg; two granddaughters and one great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Catherine M. Yesconis

Catherine M. “Miss Kitty” Yesconis, 80, of New Cumberland died Friday July 23, 2004 in Seidel Memorial Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
She was a faithful member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland where she gave of her time and talents as secretary for Catholic Council of Women, a member of the Little Flower Club, a Pioneer member of Renew Faith Sharing, Cursillo, a Bingo Volunteer, and coordinator of families to bring Gifts to the Altar. In addition, she made Baptismal smocks for 17 years for the church. Kitty was a faithful, loving person and mother who endeared so many people by her loving and caring ways. She loved to cook, loved people, especially little children and touched many lives in her 80 years. She will be lovingly missed by her family and friends but is now in the comfort of her Lord, her dearest friend. She was born February 27, 1924 in Shenandoah to the late William and Stella (Kupsky) Piakowsky.
She was the widow of Joseph A. Yesconis. She has helped mold, and leaves behind 8 children, 4 sons, Joseph E. of Heath, TX, Thomas S. of Etters, Kenneth J. of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Steven M. of New Cumberland; 4 daughters, Patricia M. Holjes of New Cumberland, Susan E. Archer of Mechanicsburg, Kathleen M. McCurdy of Mechanicsburg and Mary M. Gasswint of Mechanicsburg; 15 grandchildren and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son Robert R. Yesconis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Wednesday July 28, 2004 in her church with the Rev. Mark E. Weiss, celebrant. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp. Viewings will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday with a Scripture Service at 7:45 pm and Wednesday from 10-10:30 am in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

E. Ann Eberly, 82, of Lower Allen Twp. died Sunday July 25, 2004 in Seidel Memorial Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
She was a retired Claims Examiner for Blue Cross, Harrisburg; a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and attended Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg. She was born November 1, 1921 in Dubois to the late Edward and Dinah (Reah) Maginnis.
She was the widow of Seibert D. Eberly, Jr. and is survived by a daughter Betsy E. Dunn of Ocean Springs, MS; a sister Dorothy Muth of Barrington, RI; and three grandchildren, Billy, Thomas and Darien.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday July 29, 2004 in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. There will be no viewing or visitation.
Doris E. Miller

Doris “Doree” E. Miller, 89, of Loyalton of Creekview, Mechanicsburg died Sunday at Holy Spirit Hospital.
She was a member of Pine Street Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg. She was born September 5, 1914 in Lexington, KY to the late Arthur and Dorothy (Green) Miller.
The widow of Russell C. Miller, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Michael J. and Maronetta Miller of Camp Hill; a grandson, Mark J. Miller; and cousin, Jean Johns of Harrisburg.
Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday at Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. There will be no public viewing or visitation.

Clifford Leroy Huzey

Lieutenant Colonel Clifford Leroy Huzey, U.S. Army ret., 93, formerly of New Cumberland, died Tuesday, August 03, 2004, in the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
He was a retired budget officer for the former New Cumberland Army Depot; a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the U.S. Army and a veteran of WWII; former member of the PA National Guard; a member of VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland; Military Officers Assn. of America; and N.A.R.F.E. Mr. Huzey was born January 4, 1911, in Procter, PA, to the late John D. and Nettie (Lewis) Huzey.
Surviving are his wife, Clara E. Smith Huzey, and a nephew, Charles Zeigler, Fredericksburg, VA.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday in the chapel of Church of God Home, Carlisle, with Chaplain William A. Groff officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be held 1 – 1:30 pm Thursday in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Forever Caring Fund at the Church of God Home, 801 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, PA 17013.

Alice M. Farrell, 74, of Lewisberry passed away on August 10, 2004.
She was retired from the federal government
Surviving is her husband of fifty years, Gerald T. Farrell; three daughters, Kathleen M. Sweigart of Lewisberry; Patricia “Trish” A. Olshefski of Mechanicsburg; and Brenda E. Farrell of Lewisberry; a step-brother, Woodrow Walker of Bellville, OH; and three grandchildren, Jordan and Jared Olshefski and Susie Sweigart.
Memorial services will be held at 10am Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland. Visitation will be from 9 until time of service.

Delphine Annette Rodrigo

Delphine Annette (Kurkowski) Rodrigo, 80, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at home, just one day following her 80th birthday.
She retired as a Registered Nurse with the Samuel Mowery, D.O., medical practice in Fairview Twp. She was formerly employed as a Registered Nurse with both the Bernard Miller, M.D., practice in Highland Park, NJ, and Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.; a graduate of Bound Brook High School, Bound Brook, NJ, and St. Peter’s Hospital Nursing Program, New Brunswick, NJ; a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland; a former Assistant Brownie Leader, Penn Laurel Girl Scout Council; and she was an enthusiastic fan of the girls and boys basketball programs of Trinity High School, Camp Hill. Mrs. Rodrigo was born August 9, 1924, in McKeesport, PA, to the late Anthony and Rose (Godek) Kurkowski. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn M. Figel.
Surviving are her husband of over 56 years, Paul J. Rodrigo, Sr.; two sons and their wives, Paul J., Jr. and Sandra F. Rodrigo of New Cumberland, Thomas P. and Susan E. Rodrigo of Camp Hill; three daughters and their husbands, Delphine A. “Dollie” and Dennis J. Fink of Carlisle, Marian and Jerome S. McGraw of Mechanicsburg, Rose and James R. Agnew of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Genevieve Helfin of Bound Brook, NJ, and Annette Javitt-King of York; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated 10 am Saturday in her church with the Rev. Joseph L. Stahura and the Rev. Msgr. William M. Richardson as concelebrants. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp. Viewing will be held 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
