Theo C. Bolan, 90, of The Woods at Cedar Run, Camp Hill, died Saturday, March 19, 2005 at her apartment.
She retired as secretary for the Superintendent of Susquenita School District and from PA Dept. of Labor and Industry. She was born December 3, 1914 to the late Roy A. and Catherine N. (Smith) Beard.
The widow of Homer C. Bolan, she is survived by two sons, Vance C. of Hollidaysburg and Lee C. of Duncannon; three granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.
Graveside services will be held at 11am Wednesday in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

John J. Draksler

John J. Draksler, 64, of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill, died Monday, October 03, 2005, at the Hospice of Central PA Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, Susquehanna Twp.
He was a retired human resource analyst III for the Commonwealth of PA, Dept. of Welfare; U.S. Navy Viet Nam War veteran; a member of the V.F.W. Post 7530, Lower Allen Twp.; he was a graduate of Duquesne University, was a former football player for the University of Pittsburgh, and previously held the record for the longest discuss throw at United High School, Armagh, PA. Mr. Draksler was born March 4, 1941, the son of Joseph and Joan (Zaller) Draksler.
Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Jennifer J. and Michael S. Lepley, Mechanicsburg; a stepson and his wife, Jeffrey A. and Diane N. Romualdi, Annville; a brother George E. Draksler, Dilltown, PA; four nieces, Theresa Grove, Christine Abramo, Deborah Black, Julie Draksler; a nephew Peter Draksler; four grand nieces and six grand nephews.
Memorial services will be held 11 am Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Hospice of Central PA, PO Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.

Mildred M. Coover, 79, of Harrisburg died Thursday October 6, 2005 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Lower Paxton Twp.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Robyn Gonzalez and husband Miguel of Black Mountain, NC and Laurie Donlevy of Bridgeport, CT; a brother Ronald Coover of Carlisle; a granddaughter and a great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a son Cameron Ralston.
Graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday October 8, 2005 in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry.

Edgar R. “Ed” Barrett, 74, of New Cumberland died Friday, October 07, 2005 at Harrisburg Hospital.
An Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. He was a member of Harrisburg Lodge, No. 629, F&AM. He was a member of Harrisburg Civil War Round Table and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and football. He was born October 20, 1930 in Lykens to the late Edgar Roy and Deyona Scheibelhudt Barrett.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor J. Barrett; a son, Dennis M. of Linesville; two daughters, Sharon B. Camasi of Enola and Cindy A. Mattera of Conneautville; a brother, Martin Barrett of Pottsville; three sisters, Audrey Wiest of New Cumberland, Laura Harman of Dauphin, and Eleanor Benica of York; four grandchildren, Kellie Aughembaugh and Kevin Camasi of York, Pasquale Mattera of Conneautville, and Travis Mattera of Erie; and a great-grandson, Pasquale Mattera.
Viewing will be from 6-8pm Sunday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Roberta Richardson Strong

Roberta Richardson Strong, 71, of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, died quietly on October 13, 2005.
Roberta is survived by her two children, Joshua of Herndon, Virginia, and Ruth Hanna, of Greensboro, North Carolina, as well as her sisters Dolores Pietzak of Hicksville, New York, and Joan Stewart, of Manhattan. She was also the beloved grandmother of Tyler (9), and Mia (3), and friend and colleague to many.
Roberta was a pioneer and a gypsy. She grew up in Flushing, Queens, lived in Manhattan, and later in Germany, France and many other places. She left for Europe a single woman with $300 and a round-trip ticket and returned 18 years later as wife of Louis Duval Strong and mother of their two children. She has most recently been employed as an Education Specialist by the United States Army Recruiting Battalion of Harrisburg. She was active at St. Steven’s Episcopal Cathedral and the xyz Singing Group.
Memorial services will be held 2 pm Monday at St. Stephen Episcopal Cathedral, Harrisburg, with the Right Reverend Churchill G. Pinder officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to St. Stephen Episcopal School Building Fund, 221 North Front Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101.

Beverly J. Gill, 77, of Enola, died Friday, October 14, 2005 at her home. She was an avid biography and history reader.
She was born November 4, 1927 in McVeytown to the late Charles and Pearl (Boring) Andrews. She was the widow of Warren C. Gill, Sr.
She is survived by her companion of forty years, Malcolm L. “Mel” Black; three sons, Warren C. and wife Brenda of New Cumberland, Robert L. and wife Judy of Enola, and Jon C. and wife Jennifer of Etters; a brother, Charles Andrews of McVeytown; three sisters, Thelma Yeo, JoAnn Shoemaker, and Sally Boaz all of McVeytown; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Atkinson Mills Methodist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be from 6-8pm Monday at the funeral home.

Frances Marie Brassell

Frances Marie Brassell, 85, died Sunday October 16, 2005 in Colonial Park Care Center, Lower Paxton Twp.
She was born December 1, 1919 in New York City to the late Rudolph and Louise (Hartmeyer) Baas and was a former employee of Stephenson’s Flowers, Shiremanstown.
Mrs. Brassell was the widow of William J. Brassell, Sr. and is survived by 3 sons, William J. Brassell of Grantville, Donald R. Brassell of Great Falls, VA and Paul M. Brassell of Hershey; a sister Louise Weida of Newnan, GA; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday October 20, 2005 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp. A viewing will be held 6-8 pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
