Joan I. Armillotto, 74, of Fairview Twp., Etters, died Tuesday, November 01, 2005, at home.
She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.
Mrs. Armillotto was born September 30, 1931, in Lemoyne, to the late Iginio and Rose (Varallo) Palese. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Paulina R. Turner.
Surviving are her husband, Gaetano A. Armillotto; two sons and their wives, Stanley T. and Marianne I. Winkowski of Etters, and Joseph S. and Wendy S. Winkowski of Felton; a daughter and her husband, Elizabeth “Betty Ann” and Faron J. Stoops of Waynesboro; two stepsons, Thomas P. Armillotto of Pompano Beach, Fl, and Robert A. Armillotto of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a step daughter, Christine McGregor of Madisonville, KY; two brothers, Victor Palese of Harrisburg and Arthur Palese of New Cumberland; 12 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Monday in her church with the Rev. Mark E. Weiss as celebrant. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Twp. Viewing will be held 6 -8 pm Sunday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with a scripture service beginning at 7:30 pm.

Derrick Lee Shettel

Derrick Lee Shettel, 19, of Lewisberry, died Sunday, October 30, 2005, in Newberry Twp., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was the assistant manager of the service department at Ingersoll Rand, Lewisberry; a 2004 graduate of Red Land High School, Lewisberry; attended Yocumtown Church of God; a member of the Liko Hunting Camp; formerly participated in Red Land Midget Football, Red Land Little League Baseball, Red Land High School Baseball Team, Allen Middle School Basketball Team, and Trinity High School Basketball Rec League. He was passionate about riding motorcycles, Steelers Football, Texas Hold’em, Disc Golf, all kinds of sports, dancing, music, movies, hunting, and most importantly, his beloved puppy Chase. Derrick was born April 22, 1986, in East Pennsboro Twp., to Barry S. and Christine L. (Anderson) Shettel of Lewisberry. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Linda Sholly Anderson.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Joshua S. Shettel of Lewisberry and currently serving in Iraq; his paternal grandfather, Gary Shettel, Lewisberry, and grandmother, Janet McCandless, West Jordon, UT; his maternal grandparents, Fred and Bonnie Anderson, Halifax; his paternal great grandmother Vera Shettel of Mechanicsburg; his maternal great grandparents Lorenzo and Helen Anderson of Carlisle; his great aunt, Beverly Pincin, Lemoyne; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday in Yocumtown Church of God with the Chaplain William A. Groff officiating. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery, Newberry Twp. Visitation will be held 5 – 8 pm Friday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

Lois Fern Branch

Lois Fern Branch, wife of COL Raymond L. Branch, U. S. Army (Ret.) passed away at the age of 78 at Church of God Home, Carlisle, PA, on 4 November 2005.
She was the daughter of the late August and Maudie Blumanhourst Ravenstein of Lindsborg, KS. She was born and raised on a wheat ranch near Belmont, KS. She attended Emporia Kansas State Teachers College and taught for one year in a one-room schoolhouse in Kingman County, KS. She married Raymond L. Branch of St. Louis, MO, on 31 August 1947 in Norwich, KS, and bore two children, William and Sherry. She personified what great military wives are made of, making a home for her family in 27 different locations, including three foreign countries, sometimes under very trying conditions. She was a very avid golfer for many years at the Riverview Golf Course, New Cumberland, and other local courses. She was an accomplished craftsperson and had her own picture framing shop.
She leaves behind her husband, COL Raymond L. Branch, U. S. Army (Ret.), of Dillsburg, PA; her son, COL William R. Branch, U. S. Army (Ret.), of Crestview, FL; her daughter, Sherry D. Rothrock, of Chambersburg, PA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; also a sister, Joyce Shields, of Salina, KS; and a brother, Floyd Ravenstein, of Lucerne Valley, CA.
Viewing and visitation will be held at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, PA, 9:30-11:30 A. M., Tuesday, 8 November 2005. Interment will follow at 12:30 P.M. at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp., PA.

Lynn A. Mueller, 61, of Harrisburg, died Saturday, November 05, 2005 at Polyclinic Hospital.
She worked in Accounting/Bookkeeping for AMS of Skelly and Loy, Harrisburg. She was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School, Thompson Business Institute, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. She currently served as council president and was a member of St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church; was a member and past president of ABWA, Susquehanna Trail Chapter; and past member of Susquehanna Ski Club. She was born February 12, 1944 in Harrisburg to the late Charles L. and Jane W. (Radics) Mueller.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara J. and James Lambert of Avalon, NJ; aunts and uncles, Mrs. Frank Martinek of Middleburg Heights, OH, Mrs. Thomas Nickels of Brunswick, OH, and Mr. and Mrs. William Feuerstein of Parma, OH.
Visitation with coffee will be held at 9:30am Saturday in the fellowship hall of St. Michaels Evangelical Lutheran Church followed by a memorial service at 11am in the Sanctuary. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.

Mary L. Marsh, 86, of New Cumberland, died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was retired from the former Iceland Seafood. She liked to crochet and sew and was an avid reader. She was born December 20, 1918 in Warrington Twp. to the late Walter L. and Grace I. (Stahle) Grissinger. She was also preceded in death by a son, Paul F. Marsh, Jr.; two daughters, Betty I. Yinger and Gloria Jean Marsh; two brothers, Charles and Leroy Grissinger; a sister, Dorothy Hughes; and a granddaughter.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra L. Bishop of New Cumberland; a sister, Fay E. Potts of Lewisberry; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 9:30 followed by funeral service at 11am Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
Michael Bruce Herman

Michael Bruce Herman, 49, of Newberry Twp., died Tuesday, November 8, 2005, in Montgomery, NY, from injuries sustained in a traffic accident.
He was a professional driver for ABF Freight Systems, Inc. and was a member of Teamsters Local # 776, Harrisburg.
Mr. Herman was born August 6, 1956, the son of the late John S. Herman and Mavis A. (Young) Herman of Etters.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, John S., II, and Steven M., both of Etters; a sister, Patricia A. Kressaty of Rutherford, NJ; two nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday in Newberrytown Church of God with the Rev. David A. Yost officiating. Burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery, Newberry Twp. Viewing will be held 6 – 8 pm Thursday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

John E. Martin

John E. Martin, 59, of Etters, Fairview Twp., died peacefully, surrounded by his family Wednesday morning, November 23, 2005 at his home from complications of ALS.
He was a Ceramic Tile Mechanic for Interstate Tile and Mantel. He was an Army Veteran having served a tour of duty in Viet Nam. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland, Local Union No 5, and International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen. He had coached Red Land Girls Softball Association. He was born May 20, 1946 in Mechanicsburg to the late Harry J. and B. Edna Smeltz Martin. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and William.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Zeigler Martin; two daughters, Catharine S. Morris and husband Damon of York Haven and Jennifer M. Shuey and husband Greg of Clarks Summit; two sisters, Violet Zimmerman and husband Phares of Harrisburg and Linda Moore and husband Samuel of Enola; and two grandchildren: Tiara and Dylan Morris of York Haven.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Tuesday at his church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lower Paxton Twp. Viewing will be from 6-8pm Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
