Norman Ray Burkholder, 52, of Fairview Twp., Lewisberry died Wednesday January 18, 2006 in his residence.
He was a CPA, PICPA, AICPA and owner of Burkholder Financial Services. He was also Supervising Coordinator and Trainer for Market American’s Unfranchise System. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Norm was born June 10, 1953 in Carlisle and was a member of Christian Life Assembly, Lisburn Rd., Lower Allen Twp.
He is survived by his wife Barbara J. (Keeler) Burkholder; a son Robert K. Burkholder, at home; a daughter Amy L. Rider and son-in-law Joseph of Mechanicsburg; his parents Ray C. and Vivian (Barrick) Burkholer of Newville; a brother Steven, sister-in-law Jessica S. and their daughter Grace E. Burkholder, all of Harrisburg.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday January 20, 2006 in his church with Pastor Ronald Smith officiating. Visitation will be from10 am until time of service Friday in the church.

William H. Huff

William H. Huff, 77, formerly of New Cumberland died Sunday January 22, 2006 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired route salesman for the former Charlie Chip Co., Harrisburg; a member of Trindle Springs Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg; and attended Open Arms Christian Fellowship, York Springs. He was a former employee of the West Shore School District; New Cumberland Fire Department and the Lisburn Fire Company Auxillary. He was born August 16, 1928 in New Cumberland to the late Perry B. and Beda (Hale) Huff.
He was the widower of Alma Jane (Diller) Huff and is survived by a brother John R. Cline of New Cumberland; a niece Angel Steele and two nephews, Tim and Tom Sullivan.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday January 27, 2006 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with Pastor Daniel Summers officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm in the funeral home.

Julia Linn Smith, 55 of Warrington Twp., Lewisberry died suddenly Friday January 20, 2006 near her home as a result of a horseback riding accident.
She was a flight attendant for U.S. Airways, Philadelphia. She was a member of VFW Post 7415 Ladies Auxillary, New Cumberland; Bonny Brook Saddle Club, Boiling Springs; Wellsville Saddle Club; and the American Quarter Horse Association, TX. Julia was born 9/14/50 in Laurel, MD to the late Harold and Elizabeth (Stambaugh) Keeney.
She is survived by her husband Harrold M. Smith, Jr.; 2 sons, Harrold M. Smith, III of Dillsburg and Matthew J.P. Smith of Dover; 2 daughters, Angela T. Harley of Franklintown and Chelsea R. Smith of Manchester; a brother Donald Courtney of Dover; a sister Shirley Waggy of Baker, FL; and 4 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday January 25, 2006 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Charles Milliken officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Tri County Memorial Gardens, Lewisberry.

Ellen Elizabeth Diehl, 98, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ died Saturday January 21, 2006 in New Cumberland at the home of her niece.
She operated a restaurant out of her home in New Jersey for many years. She was born February 19, 1908 in Waynesboro to the late John B. and Effie (Ferguson) Monighan.
Mrs. Diehl is survived by 2 nieces, Charlotte E. Horton of New Cumberland and Mildred Myers of Hagerstown, MD; a nephew Ed Monighan of New Cumberland; and a great niece Beverly Jean Myers of Kitty Hawk, NC.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday January 26, 2006 in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, Washington Twp., Franklin Co. with the Rev. Scott Ogden officiating.

Margaret May Jones

Margaret May Jones, 97, of New Cumberland, and formerly of Shamokin, died Sunday, January 22nd at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.
She retired as the manager of the Men’s Department of the former Town and Country Department Store, Lemoyne. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland; the Republican Women’s Club, and Red Land Senior Center. She had voted every year since she had turned 21 and was always a staunch republican. She was very gifted with her crafts, including knitting Christmas stockings. She was born October 2, 1908 in Shamokin to the late William and Kathryn (Latchford) Fitzpatrick. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frederick (Fritz), and son, Dr. Frederick A. Jones.
She is survived by a son, Dr. David J. Jones of Macungie; a daughter, Margaret M. “Peggy” Zerbe of New Cumberland; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9am until funeral services at 10:30am on Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with The Rev. Carl Ford Peterson, her Pastor officiating. Burial will be at 1pm at Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, PA.

Bertha M. Branoff

Bertha M. Branoff, 74, of Enola passed away Sunday, January 22 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
She worked on the budget for the Securities Commission of the State of Pennsylvania and also retired as a payroll clerk for the State Police. She enjoyed crafts and reading. She was a member of Shiremanstown Church of God. She was born November 13, 1931 in Steelton to the late Edgar and Lydia (Sheaffer) Stehman.
She is survived by her husband, Donald S. Brandoff; two sons, Donald of Lemoyne and James P. of Enola; two brothers, Benjamin Stehman of Harrisburg and Edgar Stehman of Scottsdale, AZ; two sisters, Pauline Sherbocker of Mechanicsburg and Audrey Gasparovic of Lewisberry; six grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be at 9:30am followed by funeral services at 10:30am Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Daniel John "Ada" Sims

Daniel John “Ada” Sims, 27, of New Cumberland, passed away Monday, January 23rd while working.
He was the Facilities Supervisor for St. Theresa Parish. A member of St. Theresa’s, he was looked up to by the students at St. Theresa School. He graduated from St. Theresa School Trinity High School and received his Associates Degree from HACC. He had attended and planned to continue his education at Penn State. He enjoyed sports, working with his hands: including his Nova, and Penn State Football.
He is survived by his parents, Harold T. Sims and Adele Marie Sims; a sister, Kristen Sims of New Cumberland; a niece, Kaitlyn Marie; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Sims of Plymouth, PA; his girlfriend, Natalie J. Wiland of Enola; and several loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated at 10:30am Friday at his church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be from 6-8pm Thursday at his church where Scripture Services will take place at 7:30pm.
