Clairalene L. (Shaffer) Meyer, 86, of Dover, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at York Hospital, York.
She retired as a school teacher from the New Brighton School District; a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Beaver Falls; Order of Eastern Star, Beaver Falls Chapter; P.S.E.A.
Mrs. Meyer was born May 28, 1919, in Hydman, Bedford County, to the late S. Clay and Eva (Tipton) Shaffer. She was the widow of William A. Meyer and also preceded in death by a brother, Willis T. Shaffer.
Surviving are her brother, Rev. Paul C. Shaffer of Dover and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 1 pm Monday in Grandview Cemetery, Logan Twp.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
Wanda G. Tshudy

Wanda G. “Jerry” Tshudy, 77, of New Cumberland, PA and formerly of Texas died Wednesday March 8, 2006 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp., PA.
Mrs. Tshudy was a retired restaurant owner in Texas; a former restaurant manager for the former Pomeroy’s, Camp Hill, PA; and an avid reader and poet. She was born December 8, 1928 in Slaton, TX to the late Wiley and Exie (Joines) Mann.
She was the widow of Harold W. “Bill” Tshudy and is survived by a son Grant E. Tschudy of Crownsville, MD; 3 daughters, Kym Roberts of Phoenix, AZ, Kay Wells of New Cumberland, PA and Samantha Tshudy of Renton, WA; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday March 11, 2006 in Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland with the Rev. Barbara C. Yorks officiating. Visitation will be one half hour prior to services in the church.
David Ernest "Ernie" Nimal

David “Ernie” Nimal, 55, of Williamstown, died Monday at Holy Sprit Hospital.
He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War having served in Korea. He was a Systems Analyst for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. He was a member of American Legion Post 239, Williamstown and Bowling Leagues at ABC Lanes North, Harrisburg. He also enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by two daughters, Lauren E. Nimal of Lemoyne and Dawn M. Nimal of New Cumberland; two brothers, Clyde Nimal of London,OH and Tony Lonsogni of Jamestown; and a sister, Martha Lonsogni of Greenville.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2pm Sunday at American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 10am Monday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Richard F. "Dick" Barba

Richard F. “Dick” Barba, 70, of Mechanicsburg, Upper Allen Twp. passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a retired life insurance salesman from Prudential Insurance. He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Club; American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg; Good Sam Club, Blue Mountain Chapter; and enjoyed fishing and travel. He was born June 17, 1935 in Toledo, OH to the late Frank R. and Victoria A. (Rick) Barba.
He is survived by his wife, Alice “Corrie” Gruendling Barba; two sons, Frank R. of Carlisle and Sean M. or York; three daughters, Angela M. Rose of Partlow, VA, Laura A. Williams of Kingsland, GA, and Paula R. Shultz of Rheems; a sister, Jeannette Hurley of Perrysburg, OH; and eight grandchildren.
A Celebration of His Life will be held at the convenience of the family aboard The Pride of the Susquehanna.

William C. Stahler

William C. Stahler, of Shiremanstown, died Friday, March 17, 2006, at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, Susquehanna Twp.
He retired in 1980 as a retail marketer for Gulf Oil Corporation, Mechanicsburg; he was also a former employee of the former Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg, Zimmer-Randall Associates, Harrisburg, and Bobby Rahal Lexus, Mechanicsburg; a graduate of the former Enola High School and a member of the Perry Lodge # 458, F. and A. M., Marysville and the Harrisburg Consistory. Born in Sunbury, he was the son of the late Clayton H. and Catherine (Dalton) Stahler.
Mr. Stahler was a WWII Marine Corps veteran having served with the Sixth Marine Division, First Marine Brigade, Third Platoon in the Guadalcanal, Guam, and in China.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Horton Stahler; two sons, Eric William Stahler of Mechanicsburg and David Charles Stahler of Altamonte Springs, FL; a daughter, Patricia Lee Stahler of Shiremanstown; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Committal services with military honors will be held 2 pm Tuesday in the Peace Chapel Mausoleum at Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Robert N. Treichler

Robert N. Treichler, 75, of New Cumberland, died Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a retired employee of Big A Auto Parts, Lemoyne; a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War; a life member of American Legion Post 974, Fairview Twp.
Mr. Treichler was born September 15, 1930, the son of the late Herbert A. and Matilda J. (Rahn) Treichler. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Billi Jo Treichler.
Surviving are his wife, June L. Alvord Treichler; a son, William N. Treichler, Sr. of Carlisle; four daughters, Crystal L. Simmons of New Bloomfield who was the fiancé of the late David Bunce, Barbara L. Clute and her husband Kenneth of New Cumberland, Lynn M. Baker and her husband Rich of New Cumberland, and Bobbi Jo Treichler of New Cumberland; 10 grandchildren, Donald Rudy and wife Angie of York, Michael Rudy and companion Sarah of New Cumberland, Steve Rudy and companion Brittany of New Cumberland, Wade Stoneroad and companion Leah of New Cumberland, Amanda Simmons of New Bloomfield, James Treichler of New Cumberland and fiancé Ashley, Timothy Treichler of New Cumberland, Billy Treichler of York and fiancé Amber, Renae Treichler of Carlisle, and Nick Rudy of Dover; four great grandchildren, Austin Rudy, Kaleb Rudy, Dasia Stoneroad, and Addison Treichler; two sisters, Carol Foltz of Pennbrook and Lynn Waldo of Harrisburg; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

William H. Cordes

William H. Cordes, 60, of East Pennsboro Twp. and formerly of New Jersey died Thursday March 16, 2006 in West Shore Health and Rehabilitation, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a Machinist’s Mate in the U.S. Navy serving aboard a submarine during the Vietnam War era and was permanently disabled due to an automobile accident during his service to our country at the age of 20 years. William was born July 7, 1945 in Pine Hill, NJ to the late Julius and Anna (Balint) Cordes.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Joan M. Ickler of New Cumberland and Bonnie J. Scahill and husband Frank J. Scahill, Sr., of New Fairfield, CONN; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at noon on Saturday March 25, 2006 in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry with the Rev. Carl Ford Peterson, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland officiating.
