Charles E. “Chuck” Wylie, 72, of Mechanicsburg, PA and formerly of Bloomington, IN died Easter Sunday April 16, 2006 in Mechanicsburg.
He was a retired Circulation Manager for Fry Communications, Mechanicsburg; an Army Captain of the Korean War serving with both the Armor and Finance Corps; a 1956 graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington with a BS in Finance; a rabid I.U. sports fan; and a member of the American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg and the B.P.O.Elks #2257, Camp Hill; and Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Chuck was born January 19, 1934 in Bloomington, IN to the late Dr. Charles R. and Mary Frances (Marxson) Wylie.
He is survived by a sister Sharon M. O’Toole and husband Terry of Camp Hill; 2 brothers, Dr. Robert Wylie and wife Nancy and William Wylie and wife Danna all of Bloomington, IN; 2 cousins, Marilyn Snoddy and Ginny Wampler; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Bloomington.

Patricia S. Kempf

Patricia S. Kempf, 79, of New Cumberland, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, Susquehanna Twp.
She retired from Harrisburg Hospital as a registered nurse; a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, and was active in the church with the parish nursing program, the R.C.I.A., the Council of Catholic Women, and was a promoter of the Dominican Retreat House; she was a Hospice of Central PA volunteer for over 13 years and was a member of Riverview Golf Club and the New Cumberland Woman’s Club.
Born May 16th, 1926, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Sullivan and Marguerite Pond. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Kempf Lyng and a grandson, Frank J. Sheibley.
Surviving are her husband, Frank J. Kempf; four sons, Frank J., Jr., York, Thomas M., Mechanicsburg, James P., Camp Hill, and Michael E., Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Patty Kempf Sheibley, Camp Hill; 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, 15 nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am Monday in her church with the Very Rev. J. Michael McFadden as celebrant. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be held 2 – 4 pm Sunday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with a scripture service beginning at 3:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Central PA, PO Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.
Rodney L. Riland

Rodney L. Riland, 39, of Newberry Twp., Etters, died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a former superintendent for Lobar Associates, Dillsburg; a 1984 graduate of East Pennsboro High School; a former Little League Baseball coach; a former pitcher for the Cumberland Valley Twilight Baseball league; he enjoyed golfing and was an avid fisherman.
Rodney was born October 15, 1966, in Harrisburg and was the son of Ronald L. and Donna F. (McCauslin) Riland of Enola. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Ginger R. (Moore) Riland; a son, Brandon M. Riland, Etters; a brother, Ronald Riland, Mechanicsburg; his mother and father in law, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Moore, New Cumberland; a niece and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with Pastor Ronnie Riggins officiating. Burial will be in Tri-County Memorial Park, Fairview Twp. Viewing will be held 6 – 8 pm Tuesday in the funeral home.

Mary Louise Fischer

Mary Louise Fischer, 68, of Mechanicsburg, died Sunday, April 23, 2006 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a retired registered nurse from Holy Spirit Hospital, and most recently worked as a Nurse Reviewer for Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. She was a graduate of Frankford High School and Abington Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill. She enjoyed rose gardening and cooking. She was born July 15, 1937 in Chester, PA to the late Atwood and Letitia E. “Cropper” Hopkins.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob R. Fischer; two daughters, Mary Ellen Hettinger of New Cumberland and Jacqueline M. Fischer of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Letitia E. Gosa of Montville, OH and Sandra Farley of Ellington, CT; and three grandchildren, Jessica, Rachel, and Olivia Hettinger all of New Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday at her church. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Viewings will be from 6-8pm Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland and from 10-10:45am Friday at her church.

George, Jr. F. Furjanic
George F. Furjanic, Jr., 59, of Lewisberry, died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at home.
He was a industrial mechanic for Thomas J. Lipton Co., (Unilever Bestfoods), Harrisburg; an Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam War and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.
Born in Harrisburg on September 24, 1946, he was the son of George F., Sr. and Violet M. (Fillmore) Furjanic of Harrisburg. In addition to his parents, surviving are his wife of 39 years, Susan J. (Snow) Furjanic; two daughters and their husbands, Elizabeth A. and Timothy A. Anderson of Etters and Christine M. and Edward A. Bruce of Thurmont, MD; two brothers and their wives, John M. and Jennifer Furjanic and Paul V. and Lisa Furjanic, both of Harrisburg; a sister and her husband, Carol Ann and Roger Sowers of Hershey; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn M. Anderson, Nicolas R. Anderson, and Jackson A. Bruce; three nieces and three nephews.

Anna “Annie” Elizabeth Moerschbacher, 83, formerly of Highland Park, Camp Hill, died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp.
She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland; National Council of Catholic Women; Elizabeth Ann Seton Club; V.F.W. Post 7530 Women’s Auxiliary, Lower Allen Twp.; Highland Women’s Club; and was a Holy Spirit Hospital Volunteer.
Mrs. Moerschbacher was born August 8, 1922, in Renovo, the daughter of the late John A. and Elizabeth (Litavic) Ropyak. She was the widow of Ralph C. Moerschbacher, Jr. Surviving are a son, Ralph C. Moerschbacher and his wife, Rusty of Selinsgrove; two daughters, Mary Beth Hooper and her husband, Tom of Camp Hill and Joanne Edwards and her husband Bill of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Joseph Ropyak of Renovo; a sister, Mary C. Ropyak of Renovo; three grandchildren, Sara Moerschbacher Brosious and her husband Josh of Wilmington, DE, Jenny Moerschbacher of Phoenix, Arizona, and Matthew Hooper, of Camp Hill.

Beatrice L. Metzger, 84, formerly of New Cumberland, died Thursday, November 23, 2006, at Country Meadows, Hampden Twp.
She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.
Mrs. Metzger was born October 1, 1922, in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of the late Edgar and Besse (Bonsell) Lesher. She was the widow of William A. B. Metzger.
Surviving are a son and his wife, W. Jason and Debbie Metzger of Cornelius, NC; two daughters and their husbands, Jennifer L. and Reid Leighton of Eagan, MN and Laurie A. and Jim Smith of Dillsburg; six grandchildren.
