Virginia L. "Ginny" Culp

Virginia L. “Ginny” Culp died on March 8, 2008 at the Hershey Medical Center after a spirited struggle with cancer. Born in 1953 in Shamokin Pa. she was the daughter of the late Adam B. Culp and Mabel Atkinson Culp.
Ginny was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School and Mansfield University. She completed graduate studies at Penn State University where she was a teaching assistant. She worked her whole life in human services at the Lycoming County Association for the Blind, Hope Services, Cumberland-Perry ARC, the former Handler Center and for 21 years as a rehabilitation counselor for the Pa. Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, York District Office. Her illness forced her to retire in 2007. In addition to her career, Ginny loved collecting penguins and traveling. She enjoyed planning trips and reading about different countries and cultures. She visited most of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Peru, Argentina, Iceland, England, Italy, China, Belgium, the Netherlands, and in 2005 made her dream trip to Antarctica where a penguin walked up to her and stood on her boots.
Surviving are her loving partner of 25 years Dawn M. Rudinski, two aunts, Louise Olley of Nokomis, Florida and Eleanor Fell of Feasterville, Pa., many cousins and friends and her cats, Ashes and Trax.
As per Ginny’s wishes, there will be no services. A casual gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later time.

Rev. Dr. Aloysius A. Okon

Rev. Dr. Aloysius A. Okon, 45, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008.
He was a mobile therapist for the City of Philadelphia and a member of New Harvest Church, New Kingstown. Born in Ikotudo Uran, L.G.A. on December 26, 1962, he was the son of Udoeno and Mary Okon.
Surviving are his wife, Grace A. Okon; a son, Aloysius A. Okon, Jr.; three daughters, Ini Abasi Okon, Edidiong Abasi Okon, and Mfonabasi Okon; two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in his church with Pastor Fred A. Tiday officiating. Burial will be held in Uyo, Nigeria. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the church.

Mary Jean Orfanelli, 74, of Lower Paxton Twp., died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a fulltime homemaker and enjoyed delivering flowers as a part time job. Her favorite hobby was horseback riding but spent the last 15 years with her beloved companion Candy, her dog. Born May 7, 1933, in Princeton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Emilio and Elizabeth (Snedecker) Nini.
Surviving are four sons, Richard of Hummelstown, Robert of Grantville, James and wife Kim of Colonial Park, and John of Colonial Park; two daughters, Susan Beckner of Bedford and Sharon and husband John Burke of Camp Hill; along with their father, Henry Orfanelli of Colonial Park and seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 15, 2008, in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Princeton, NJ, at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be held 10 – 11 AM Saturday in the funeral home.

Terry Lyle Zentz

Terry Lyle Zentz, 66, of Camp Hill and formerly of Vista, CA died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at his home.
He was a Navy Veteran of Vietnam. He received his honorable discharge on October 31, 1960 from Lt. Commander R.D. Wood of the U.S.S. Lowe, USN. He received his Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from National University, San Diego, CA. He retired after nineteen years of service as a software engineer from Planit Solutions, Carlsbad, CA. He attended Christ Unity Church of San Diego. He enjoyed his job, working with anything that had to do with computers, woodworking, and listening to Neil Diamond. He was a quiet and gentle man that loved his family very much. He was born October 30, 1941 in Plymouth, IN. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Henry Zentz and brother, Donald G. Zentz.
He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Myers Zentz whom he married August 17, 1978 in Christ Unity Church of San Diego; mother, Marjorie Emma Weigand Zentz of Bullhead City, AZ; son, Gerald E. Smith, Jr. and his wife Deanna I. of Camp Hill; two daughters, T.L. Zentz of Friendswood, TX and Elizabeth Ann Chilton of Mechanicsburg; sister, Sharon S. Bushnell of Bullhead City, AZ; brother, Kenny N. Zentz of Fountain Hills, AZ; four grandchildren, Candice L. Smith, Dalton J. Smith, Athena M. Zentz, and Breana L. Chilton; and seven nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at 5pm Monday, March 17th followed by a funeral service at 6pm at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

Edna S. Ochs, 88, of Lower Allen Twp. died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Derry Twp.
She was a retired Supervisor from the Pennsylvania State Liquor Control Board. She was a member for over 60 years of United Church of God, Harrisburg; America Business Women’s Association, Camelot Chapter, Harrisburg; PARSE; and AARP. She was born January 10, 1920 in Harrisburg to the late Harvey D. and Ida Alice (Row) DeMay, Sr. She was the widow of Eugene M. Ochs and predeceased by her sister Pauline F. Price.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara E. Treichler of Harrisburg; two brothers, Harvey D. DeMay of Old Saybrook, CT and Donald C. DeMay Sr. of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Michael Treichler of Camp Hill and Michelle Speck of Harrisburg; and two great grandchildren, Sara Treichler and Luke Speck.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp. Viewing will be from 10-11am Tuesday at the funeral home.

Don Dale Winton, 18 of Lemoyne died Saturday, March 15, 2008 at his apartment.
A student, he enjoyed working out at LA Fitness, deer hunting, fishing, bowling, movies, and playing football for the West Shore Vikings prior to attending Cedar Cliff High School.
He is survived by his mother, Tabatha R. Hoffner and her husband Ammon of Etters; father, Bruce Edward Winton of Blossvale, NY; brother, Dale E. Winton of Lemoyne; sister, Heather A. Shaughnessy and her husband Bill of North Bay, NY; Paternal grandfather, Roy Blowers of Sylvan Beach, NY; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Flagg of Camden, NY; girlfriend, Jade Thomas of Newberry Twp.; and three nephews, Christian, Brandon, and Jayden Shaugnessy.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Twp. Viewing will be from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Patricia A. Duff, 58, of Fairview Twp., Etters, died Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was the Director of Religious Education and also a member at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.
Born March 31, 1949, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Katherine A. (Desmond) DeGuzman. She was the widow of Lewis R. Duff and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Katherine Duff.
Surviving are a son, Stephen M. of Lancaster; two daughters, Theresa D. Rice of Mechanicsburg and Leslie A. Harris of Etters; three brothers, James F. DeGuzman of Ohio, Daniel J. DeGuzman of New Cumberland and Timothy J. DeGuzman of Etters; three grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah and Joshua; two nieces and a nephew, Leigh, Kelly and Bryan DeGuzman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday in her church with the Rev. J. Michael McFadden as celebrant. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Visitation will be held 6 – 8 PM Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with a scripture service beginning at 7:30 PM.
