C. Leonard Williamson
Valley View - C. Leonard "Pete" Williamson, 74, of 11 N. Vista Rd., died Saturday, March 1 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Pottsville.
Born March 22, 1928 in Valley View, he was the son of the late James R. and Minnie Schoffstall Williamson and was a 1945 graduate of the former Hegins Twp. High School.
He was a retired coal miner for Kocher Coal Company in Valley View and also worked as a self-employed coal miner.
Surviving are his wife Shirley Clauser Williamson; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elvin and Alfred.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 8 at 11 a.m. at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home in Valley View. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Andrew's Cemetery in Valley View.

Richard L. Heisey Sr., 65, of East Poplar Avenue, Hummelstown, died Wednesday, February 17 in Hershey Medical Center.
William Martin Sr.
William L. Martin Sr., of Remsburg Street, Hummelstown, died Wednesday, February 17 in Harrisburg Hospital.
John Hart
John T. Hart, 80, of Lake Drive, Middletown, formerly of Hummelstown, died Friday, February 19 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
Miriam Hammaker
Miriam I. Waltz Hammaker, 86, of Sunnyside Avenue, Progress, died Thursday, February 18 in Polyclinic Hospital.
She was a member of Progress Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, Lester G. Hammaker; a daughter, Beverly I. Harbold, and a son, Ronald G., both of Harrisburg; a sister, Romaine Wilbern of Harrisburg; a brother, Harry Waltz of Penbrook; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday in Knight Funeral Home, Highspire. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.

Albert May Jr.
Albert F. May Jr., 78, retired US Air Force Master Sgt., of Coral Blvd., Bradenton, FL, formerly of Middletown, died Monday, February 1 at home.
He was a member of the Air Force Sgt. Association.
He was the son of Marie H. Siar May of Middletown and the late Albert F. May Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel O. May; a son, William R. of Baltimore, MD; two daughters, Susan Hories of Philadelphia and Alida Phillips of New Tripoli, PA; three brothers, George F. of Fort Myers, FL, Richard D. of Buzzards Bay, MA and Charles E. of Middletown; four sisters, Virginia Dubois of Poway, CA, Doris Gilbert of York, Sally Hudson of Pittsburgh and Charlotte Kinsey of MD; and three grandchildren.
Services and burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were handled by the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown.
Ruth Barnes
Ruth Fornwalt Barnes, 85, of Crescent Street, Harrisburg, formerly of Middletown and Royalton, died Monday, February 22 in Harrisburg Hospital.
She was the widow of Lewis C. Barnes Sr.
She is survived by four sons, Lewis C. Jr., James R., Ronald E. and William H., all of Middletown; four daughters, Betty L. Sharp, Lois M. Powley, Sandra Barnes and Wanda K. Fornwalt, all of Harrisburg; a sister, Helen Smith of Middletown; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown. Burial will be in Hillsdale Cemetery, Londonderry Twp.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Freada Biesecker
Freada E. Biesecker, 97, of Frey Village Retirement Center, Middletown, formerly of South Second Street, Steelton, died Monday, April 26 in Frey Village.
She had been a cigar-roller for Khrouse & Co., formerly of Cameron Street; was a 75-year member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steelton, and a member of its Sunday school; and a former member of the church's home visitation department.
She was the widow of Dale M. Biesecker.
She is survived by three sons, Dale F. and Martin C., both of Steelton, and Marlin K. of Middletown; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gerald B. Biesecker and a great-granddaughter, Melissa Lynn Biesecker.
Services were held Friday in her church. Burial was in Hummelstown Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by the James F. Stone Funeral Home, 112 North Harrisburg Street, Steelton, PA.

Charles Roth
Charles E. Roth, 79, of Market Street, Highspire, died Wednesday, April 28.
He was retired from the former New Cumberland Army Depot; was an Army veteran of World War II; a member of the Yellow Breeches Anglers and Conservation Association and the Dauphin County Anglers & Conservationists; and a life member of the Highspire Boating Association.
He is survived by a companion, Helen J. Bowman; and two brothers, Robert of Hummelstown and George of Parkville, MD.
Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
