Helen A. Motter Steigleman, 68, of Vancouver, WA, formerly of Highspire, died Monday, April 26 at home.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, bingo and her family.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Steigleman Sr.; a son, Richard Jr. of Palmer, AK; two daughters, Karen Dohman of Portland, OR and Donna Steinbarge of Vancouver; four brothers, Carl Motter of Summerdale, Fred Motter of Las Vegas, Russell Motter of Saxton and Paul Motter of Highspire; six sisters, Pauline Crist and June Motter and Norma Motter, all of Steelton, Thelma Vorodi of Middletown, Elizabeth Lightner of Highspire and Fran Jeske of Merrill, WI; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services and burial were held Thursday in Vancouver.
The Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown, handled local arrangements.
Alexander Koons
Alexander K. W. Koons, 39, of Hummelstown, died Thursday, April 29 at home.
He was a warehouse truck driver for Crakare Supply Co., Grantville; a graduate of Lower Dauphin High School; a Protestant; and an avid Philadelphia Eagles football fan. He enjoyed building and playing the organ.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry L. Clouser Koons; three daughters, Michelle, Kristy and Gabrielle, and a son, Zachary, all at home; his father, Lloyd E. Koons of Hershey; a brother, Douglas T. of Harrisburg; and two sisters, Patricia L. Loser of Hershey and Deanna K. Hinkley of Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Services were held Monday in Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Hershey. Burial was in Hershey Cemetery.
Delphine Maciboba
Delphine K. Maciboba, 79, of Kennewick, WA died Sunday, March 28, 1999 in her home in Kennewick, surrounded by her family.
She was born January 2, 1920 in Harrisburg, PA to Roy and Sadie Krebs. Her early years were spent in Middletown, PA and she received her education there.
Following World War II she worked, as a civilian, in the reconstruction effort in Japan. She met Andrew E. Maciboba while in Japan, and they were marriage in Washington, DC on July 24, 1954. Following their marriage, they made their home in Clinton, MD. She worked as a clerk at Andrews Air Force Base.
Delphine retired in 1975. After the death of her husband in Aug. 1981, she moved to Indialantic, FL. In March 1998 she moved to Kennewick to be near her family.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Karen Maciboba of Kennewick; grandchildren Dawn and Jack Redmond of MD, Stephen, Lyndsay and Julie Maciboba, all of Kennewick; great-grandchildren Kyler and Chandler Redmond. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter Theresa Brock, and a brother Ken Krebs.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 31 in Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, Kennewick.

Eva Dnistransky
Eva Dnistransky, 77, of Keystone Avenue, Middletown, died Friday, April 30 at home.
She was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown and its Golden Age Group, and Middletown Senior Citizens.
She was the widow of Dymtro Dnistransky.
She is survived by two sons, John I. of Londonderry Twp. and Michael J. of Virginia Beach, VA; a daughter, Mary L. Jacobs of Long Island, NY; a brother, Nicholas Pschencyki of Sochea, Russia; and four grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday in her church. Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown.
Vera Nusser
Vera S. Nusser, 78, of Spring Street, Middletown, died Thursday, April 29 in Harrisburg Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Lemon and Mabel (Walter) Simmons.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and Rescue Hose Company Auxiliary, both of Middletown and the Middletown Senior Citizens.
She was the widow of Harry S. Nusser.
She is survived by a son, Harry E. of Great Falls, MT; two sisters, Anna Oyster and Violet Leaman, both of Ephrata; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held Tuesday in Coble-Reber Funeral Home, Middletown, with The Rev. Dr. J. Richard Eckert officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
A viewing was held Monday evening.

N. Kenny Shaffer
N. Kenny Shaffer, 79, of Mohn Street, Steelton, passed away Saturday, May 1 in the Carlisle Hospital.
Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Gertrude E. Strine Shaffer.
He was a jazz pianist, song writer and comedian who played in the top clubs along the East Coast. Most recently he played at The Embers, but other fine clubs in the area included the Hershey Country Club, the old Penn Harris ballroom, the Harrisburger Hotel, the 210, Bob Mumma's Amity Hall Inn and Vince Catalano's.
He was on the first experimental television show in Philadelphia in 1939. In 1948 he had Kenny's Musical Bar in Middletown; and later owned a club in Philadelphia called the Top of the Tooz at 222 South 15th Street. He played at the Philadelphia 20th Century Club; and for many years at Henny's in Stone Harbor. He lived in Boca Raton, FL for 17 years before returning to the Harrisburg area over 30 years ago.
He started playing the piano at age 5 and became a pro at age 15. He worked with Nat King Cole and a Ziegfield Follies girl; wrote song with Tennesse Williams called "Home Remedy"; and wrote the arrangement for Bobby Troup's song "Daddy". He wrote his own songs and comedy gigs. He was known for saying, "Name me a song and I'll give you the tune and the words." And he could!
He was a U. S. Army veteran having served in World War II. He was a member of Harris Street United Methodist Church, Harrisburg.
He has no immediate survivors.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 8 at 11 a.m. in the East Harrisburg Cemetery. A visitation will be held following the service at the Sheraton Inn, 800 East Park Drive, Harrisburg.
