Robert P. Hahn, 83, of Colebrook Road, Middletown, died Friday, July 30 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a retired warehouse supervisor at Warner Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, GA; played semi-pro baseball for the former Olmsted Flyers and Fleagy's Dairy; was an avid Philadelphia Phillies baseball fan; was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Middletown and American Legion Post 329, Elizabethtown, and Bass Masters Association; enjoyed fishing and hunting; and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice L. Myers Hahn; a son, Barry R. Hahn of Londonderry Twp.; a daughter, Bonita L. Still of Boiling Springs; a sister, Kathryn Woutersz of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday in the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown, with The Rev. Paul F. Zieber, his pastor, officiating. Burial with military honors was in Middletown Cemetery.
Virginia Garver
Virginia A. Garver, 58, of Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, died Friday, July 30 in Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Louise (Leiby) Garver.
She is survived by two sisters, Janet L. Crumblich of Highspire and Faye A. Mort of Elizabethtown.
Services were held Monday in the Coble-Reber Funeral Home, Middletown with Pastor William H. Reist officiating. Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.

Leon Via
Leon C. Via, 87, of Church Road, Hummelstown, passed away Monday, August 2 in the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra.
Born In Via Gap, Albemarle County, VA, he was the son of the late Henry C. and Laura C. Meadows Via.
He retired as the owner/operator of the former Via Brothers and Leon Via Block, Stone and Coal companies; was a member of Fishburn United Methodist Church, Derry Township; and was a former member of the Ridgeway Rod and Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ella Mae Heisey Via, on March 27, 1992. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Linnie Via, Mabel Boyer and Mary Anderson, and two brothers, Cecil Via and Charles Via.
He is survived by one son, Leon C. Via Jr. of Hummelstown; two sisters, Nellie Zimmerman of Harrisburg and Emma Speirs of FL; two brothers, Joseph H. Via of Hummelstown and Howard D. Via of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Vicky L. Lutz and The Rev. Leon C. Via III, both of Hummelstown and Jeff S. Via of Landisville; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Fishburn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Leon C. Via III, his grandson, officiating. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, North Annville Township. Friends are invited to call at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.
Arrangments are being handled by the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown.
Victoria Brodovicz
Victoria C. Brodovicz, 87, of Continental Drive, Harrisburg, formerly of Middletown, died Monday, August 2 in the Jewish Home of Harrisburg.
She was a retired employee of the former Middletown Dress Company; and was a member of St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church, Penbrook.
She was the widow of Charles E. Brodovicz.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie V. Brodovicz, with whom she lived and Cynthia A. Foutch of Omaha, NE; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in her church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Middletown.
Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown, with recitation of the rosary at 10 a.m.

Mary Metzler
Mary C. Metzler, 86, of the Middletown Home, Lower Swatara Twp., formerly of Interfaith Apartments, Middletown, died Monday, August 2 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late George and Emma (Collins) Welcomer.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Middletown.
She was the widow of Percy L. Metzler.
She is survived by a son, George D. of Harrisburg; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Hillsdale Cemetery, Londonderry Twp. with Pastor Pamela H. Ford officiating.
There will be no viewing.

Ruth Young
Ruth Brown Young, 81, formerly of Highspire, died Wednesday, February 24 in ManorCare Health Services, Lower Paxton Twp.
She was retired from Pennsylvania Blue Shield; had been owner/operator of the former Brown’s Restaurant in Highspire; was a former Girl Scout leader in Highspire; and a member of the Highspire Historical Society.
She was the widow of Charles W. Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Young of Steelton; a daughter, Annette Parthemore of Highspire; a son, Charles W. Brown Jr. of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Marie Hahn of Bethlehem and Madie Leitzel of Berrysburg; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside memorial services were held Saturday in Highspire Cemetery.
