William S. Montville, 86, of Oak Hill Drive, Middletown, died Monday, July 5 in Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.
He was a retired aircraft mechanic at the former Olmsted Air Force Base, Lower Swatara Twp.; was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 3501, Senior Citizens and a social member of American Legion Post 594, all of Middletown.
He is survived by his wife, Sophia P. Orlowski Montville; two sons, Joseph W. of NC and Michael J. of Harrisburg; two daughters, Monica, at home and Pauletter M. of Harrisburg; a brother, Alfred of Wilkes-Barre; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in his church with Rev. John Trigilio Jr., Ph.D. as celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday with recitation of the rosary at 8 p.m. and from 9-9:45 a.m. Friday at the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown.
Memorial contributions may be made to the parish development fund of his church, 280 Race Street, Middletown, PA 17057 or to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders, 2001 Front Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102.
Erma Chapman
Erma M. Chapman, 84, of Sand Hill Road, Hershey, formerly of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, July 4 at Country Meadows of Hershey following a long illness.
Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey S. and Alice Snyder.
She retired as a tailor from the David Martin Store in Elizabethtown; was also employed as a floorlady at the former Hesteco Garment Factory and the former Risser Garment Factory, both in Elizabethtown; was a certified Reflexologist; served as secretary of her husband's concrete business; and was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Elizabethtown.
She was the widow of Robert H. Chapman, who died in 1993.
She is survived by a son, Michael W. (husband of Cynthia Wertz) Chapman of Elizabethtown; a sister, Vesta, wife of J. Hoffman Charles, Marietta; a brother, John Snyder of Prescott, AZ; a half-brother, Richard Frey, Denver, CO; three grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ Church United Church of Christ, Elizabethtown with The Rev. P. Larry Potteiger officiating. Interment will be in Mount Tunnel Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
Friends may call at the Frank S. Miller Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and at the church Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.

Mary Morris
Mary A. Morris, 61, of Rupp Street, Middletown, formerly of Maytown, died Monday, July 5 at Penn State Geisinger Health System, Hershey, after a lengthy illness.
Born June 2, 1938 in St. Mary's, PA, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Elsie Straitwell Fischer.
She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, St. Mary's; was a clerk/stenographer with 26 years of service for the Commonwealth of PA, Dept. of Labor and Industry, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Harrisburg and retired February 1998.
She was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown, and was very active in the CUSA (Catholic Sick In America).
She was the wife of Milton Lynwood Morris, whom she marriage April 22, 1978.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one brother, Frank J. Fischer, Easton; six sisters, Victoria R. Walker of Bradford, Jude Ann Fischer, Madonna House of Combermere, Ontario, Diane F. Brenneman of Alpharetta, GA, Sara “Sally” E., wife of William J. Smith and Sandra, wife of Olin Tucker, both of St. Mary's, Barbara J., wife of Frederick Klinzing of Emporium, PA.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John Andrew Fischer and Daniel J. Fischer; and three sisters, Jean Frances, Virginia Rose and Linda Grace Fischer.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at Mary Mother of the Church, Mount Joy with Reverend Paul Rindos as celebrant. Final commendation and farewell was held in Laurel Hills Memorial Gardens, Columbia.

Stephen Homa
Stephen Gabriel Homa, 72, of Foxiana Road, Middletown, died Wednesday, July 7 at home.
Born May 31, 1927 in Mahanoy City, he was the son of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Koch Homa.
He retired as a supervisor for the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot; was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Middletown, and the First Catholic Slovak Union of U. S. and Canada; and an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Chelak Homa; a daughter, Susan Ann Marie Shoemaker of Dallastown, York County; a brother, William of Woodridge, NJ; a sister, Elizabeth Chelak of Mahanoy City; and six grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday in his church with Rev. Louis P. Ogden as celebrant. Burial was in Hillsdale Cemetery, Londonderry Twp.

James Pristello
James John Pristello, 71, of North Spring Street, Middletown, died Tuesday, July 6 at home.
He was a former crane operator for Heckett Engineers, Steelton; an Air Force veteran; and a member of Rescue Hose Company, American Legion Post 594 and Moose Lodge 410, all of Middletown.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Matincheck Pristello; three sons, James John Pristello III and Ronald L. Pristello, both of Middletown and Charles M. Pristello of Gettysburg; two daughters, Phyllis A. Blazi of Highspire and Barbara A. Pristello of Middletown; a sister, Eva Bertolasio of Weedville; six grandchildren; a step granddaughter; and two step great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday in the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown with The Rev. Louis P. Ogden as celebrant. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
