Steelton; attended Seven Sorrows Of The Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown. He is survived by a niece, Linda Bastardi of Hummelstown. Charles Gingerich
Charles Gingerich, 84, of Middletown, and formerly of Highspire, died Saturday, June 8, in the Community General Osteopathic Hospital. He was a retired Quality Control Specialist for the former Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg, a member of the Highspire First Church of God, former Highspire Lions Club, and was a Marine Veteran of WWII.
Bertha Heueisen
Bertha R. Heueisen, 87, of S. Geyer's Church Road, Londonderry Twp., died Wednesday, July 26, in Dauphin Manor.
She was the first secretary of and retired from the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce; was a member of Geyers United Methodist Church, Middletown.
She was the widow of Herman J. Heueisen. She is survived by two sons, Robert L. Heueisen, at home, and David J. Heueisen of Newport.
Services were held Monday at the Frank E. Matinchek and Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middletown, with the Rev. Thomas H. Sanagorski officiating. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Ralph Hoffman
Ralph L. "Cy" Hoffman, 84 of West Drive, Chambers Hill, died Wednesday, July 26, in Harrisburg Hospital.
He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. and was a member of Highspire First Church of God and its Men's Bible Class.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice O. Bell Hoffman; a daughter, Nancy A. Leiter of Spartanburg, SC; two sons, Terry L. of Killeen, TX, and Gary L. at home; two brothers, James of Rawlings, WY, and Charles of Richfield; a sister, Evelyn Martin of Hummelstown; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday in his church. Burial was in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.
Knight Funeral Home, Highspire, handled the arrangements.

Mildred Baum
Mildred B. Baum, 92, of Presbyterian Rehabilitation Center, Quarryville, and formerly of Middletown, died Saturday, July 29, in the center.
She was a member of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Middletown.
She was the widow of Lester F. Baum, Sr. She is survived by a son, Lester F. Baum, Jr., of Joppa, MD; two daughters, June B. Bomberger of West Lawn and Lois B. Shank of Allentown; eight grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in her church with the Rev. Arthur G. Fox officiating. Burial will be in the Middletown Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 1 p.m. to time of services Wednesday at the church.

Patricia "Patty" M. Betz, 45, of Lumber Street, Lower Swatara Twp., died Sunday, July 30, at home.
She was a housekeeper at Holiday Inn, Harrisburg, and a graduate of Middletown Area High School.
She is survived by a daughter, Gina M. Sanchez of Highspire; her parents, Paul H. and Verna Eisenhour Ness of Lower Swatara Twp.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Coble-Reber Funeral Home, Middletown. Burial will be in Bindnagles Cemetery, North Londonderry Twp.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Howard Keene Jr.
Howard R. "Howie" Keene, Jr., 76, of Mill Street, Middletown, died Thursday, February 24 at home.
He retired from Piece & Dye Co., Middletown, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by a brother, Elwood H. Keene and a sister, Betty E. Hoke, both of Middletown.
Services were held Monday in the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown, with Rev. Paul F. Zieber officiating. Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.
Audrey Johnston
Audrey Marie Johnston, 90, of the Middletown Home, Lower Swatara Township, formerly of the Village of Pineford, died there Saturday, February 26.
She was a native of Gravenhurst, Ontario; enjoyed knitting items, and then donating them to the homeless. She was of the Presbyterian faith.
She was the widow of Fredrick B. Johnston.
She is survived by two sons, William A. of Gibbsboro, NJ and Richard A. of Chicago; a daughter, Andrea M. Baker of Middletown; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday in Hetherington and Deans Ltd. Funeral Home, Niagara Falls, Ontario. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls.

Hilda May Henry, 73, formerly of Shippen Street, Royalton, died Thursday, February 24 in the West Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center, East Pennsboro Twp.
Born in Marysville, she was the daughter of the late Maury and Martha (Forney) Flurie.
She retired as a self-employed housekeeper and was a member, former choir member and Sunday school teacher of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Royalton.
She was the widow of Melvin Henry Sr.
She is survived by three sons, Melvin Jr., husband of Barbara, of Lower Swatara Twp., Richard, husband of Junghee, of Phoenix and John, husband of Sharon, of Middletown; a brother, Paul Flurie of Halifax; two sisters, Martha Ferguson of New Bloomfield and Lucy Prosser of Littlestown; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday in her church with Rev. David Trostle officiating. Burial was in Hillsdale Cemetery, Londonderry Twp.
