Harry Gipe
Harry S. Gipe, 68, of North Market Street, Elizabethtown died Monday, February 28 at Hershey Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Born in Mount Joy Twp., he was the son of the late Harry R. and Florence E. Stoudt Gipe.
He worked as a truck driver for Waste Management, Lancaster, retiring in 1994. He was an Airman 1st Class in the US Air Force and was a member and past president of the Londonderry Fire Company.
He is survived by four sisters, Bertha E. Gipe of Elizabethtown, Ellen G. Alwine of Palmyra, Gladys D. Patrick of Annville and June K. Baughman of Middletown; three brothers, William D. Gipe Sr. and Richard S. Gipe, both of Hummelstown, and Kenneth P. Gipe of Lebanon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services at the Frank S. Miller Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, on Friday at 8 p.m.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:30 p.m. until the time of services.
Interment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
The family requests flowers please be omitted. Contributions may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, 2040 Linglestown Road, Suite 106, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Bertha Rife
Bertha M. Hartman Rife, 80, off Spring Street, Middletown, died Tuesday, July 20 in Dauphin Manor, Swatara Twp.
Born in Lower Swatara Township, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Salome (Stark) Hartman.
She was a retired, self-employed housekeeper; was of the Protestant faith; and a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 553, Middletown.
She is survived by a son, Forney P. (Skip) Rife Jr. of Londonderry Twp.; a brother, Harry Hartman Sr. of Middletown; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday in Coble-Reber Funeral Home, Middletown with The Rev. Michelle F. Moe officiating. Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Norman Kibe
Norman D. Kibe, 82, formerly of Oberlin, died Saturday, July 10 in Leisure Oaks Nursing Home, Defiance, OH.
He retired as a driver for Bohrn Trucking Co. and was a member of Indiana Teamsters Local 414 and an Army veteran.
He was the widower of Barbara F. Morris Kibe.
He is survived by four daughters, Patricia Shive of Lemoyne, Gertrude Miller of Chambers Hill, Ida Schroll of Harrisburg and Linda Wiesehon of Woodburn, IN; two sons, Norman Jr. of Mountain Home, ID and Raymond J. of Port Allen, LA; two sisters, Ethel Fine of Pittsburgh and Zell Imbrogno of Norwalk, CA; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Memorial graveside services were held Monday in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Knight Funeral Home, Highspire, handled arrangements.

Frances Limppo
Frances C. Limppo, 82, formerly of Lower Swatara Twp., died Wednesday, July 21 in Country Meadows of Hershey.
She was a former member of Highspire First Church of God and a member of Lower Swatara Fire Company Auxiliary.
She was the widow of Troy E. Limppo.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy J. Walmer of Hummelstown; two sisters, Lena Hummel and Josephine Leiter, both of Harrisburg; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday in Highspire Cemetery.
Knight Funeral Home, Highspire, handled arrangements.

Johanna Goles
Johanna M. Sukle Goles, 81, of South Front Street, Steelton, died Tuesday, July 20 at home.
She retired as a clerk from the state Department of Public Welfare; was a former member of the former St. Peter Roman Catholic Church; secretary of Mary Full of Grace Lodge 114, American Slovenian Catholic Union; and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton, its parish choir, St. John's Lodge 314 Croatian Fraternal Union, VFW Post 710 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 420 Auxiliary, Steelton Dandy Lions, Women of the Moose Chapter 919, Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees and Sacred Heart of Jesus Golden Hearts Club.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Goles Sr.; two sons, Ronald J. of Middletown and Anthony J. Jr. of Steelton; and four grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Steelton. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp.
Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of her parish, 815 S. Second Street, Steelton, PA 17113.

Kathryn Crum
Kathryn V. Crum, 97, formerly of Highspire, died Saturday, July 24 in Middletown Home.
She was a member of Highspire United Methodist Church for 70 years and a Sunday school teacher in the children's department for 50 years.
She was the widow of LeRoy L. Crum.
She is survived by a daughter, Georgia Mae Shank of Middletown; 11 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in her church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Knight Funeral Home, Highspire, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 170 Second Street, Highspire, PA 17034.

Charles Mathias
Charles W. Mathias, 69, of Donald Avenue, Lower Swatara Township, died Monday, July 26 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a retired machine operator at the former Fruehauf Trailers, Lower Swatara Township; was a Marine veteran of the Korean War; and a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and American Legion Post 594, both of Middletown.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Matala Mathias; a son, Michael W. of Philadelphia; a daughter, Teresa A. Mathias of Middletown; two brothers, Robert of Middletown and Lester B. Jr. of Layton, UT; a sister, Marie Condran of Royalton; and two grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in his church with The Rev. Louis P. Ogden as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Middletown.
Viewing will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Grace Espenshade
Grace E. Espenshade, 79 of Frey Village, Middletown, died Tuesday, July 11, at Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a member of Harrisburg First Church of the Brethren; and enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and canning.
She is survived by her husband, Meade M. Espenshade; a son, Marlin J. of Harrisburg; a daughter, Betty A. DeWolfe of Middletown; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, July 14, in Coble-Reber Funeral Home. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery, Middletown.
Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 202, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
