Louis J. DeAngelo, 62, of Caravan Court, Middletown, formerly of Bronx, NY, died Monday, December 6 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a retired porter.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Ann Kirk DeAngelo; two sons, Thomas A. of Bronx and Gary L. of Lewistown; two daughters, Donna A. of Bronx and Margaret Ann of Harrisburg; a brother, Joseph V. of Manhattan, NY; two sisters, Anna Marie Pagano and Elizabeth A. Xenos, both of Queens, NY; and five grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, December 10 in Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Middletown.
Arrangements were handled by the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown.
Martha Cashman
Martha L. Cashman, 80, of Highland Street, Oberlin, died Tuesday, December 28 at home.
She was retired from Spectrum Co. and was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oberlin.
She is survived by her husband, Jack O. Cashman; two daughters, Donna L. Simonetti and Pennie L. Smith, both of Enhaut; a son, Jack M. at home; three brothers, Charles Morgan of Upper Allen Twp., Frank Morgan of Philadelphia and William of Camp Hill; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday in Knight Funeral Home, Highspire. Burial was in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.

Ethel Demey
Ethel M. Demey, 87, of Middletown, died Thursday, December 30 at Frey Village, Middletown.
Born June 21, 1912 in Highspire, she was the daughter of the late Abram and Miriam Bishop Kaylor.
She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown; Farm Women Group #9; Londonderry Twp. Senior Citizens; and the Lower Swatara Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary (retired). She enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Samuel W. Demey Sr. of Middletown; two daughters, Margaret Demey of Derry Twp. and Elizabeth Hartman of Hershey; one son, Samuel W. Jr. of Lower Swatara Twp.; four sisters, Mildred Demey of Palmyra; Miriam Lebo of Cary, NC; Betty Messick of Neffsville and Mary Doersom of Hummelstown; a brother, Abram Kaylor of Highspire; three grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Funeral services were held Monday in her church. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery, Lower Swatara Twp.

Joyce M. Martin Weaver, 73, of Felker Road, Londonderry Twp., died Friday, December 31 in Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a retired mail carrier and was the first woman (female) mail carrier in Middletown; was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Middletown for 63 years; a former Girl Scout leader and camp director at Camp Chickawee, Hummelstown.
She is survived by her husband, Earl W. "Rocky" Weaver; a son, Gary L. and wife, Deborah Weaver of Londonderry Twp.; a daughter, Mary Ann and husband Robert L. Rowland of Londonderry Twp.; and a granddaughter, Leanne M. Rowland of Londonderry Twp.
Services were held Tuesday at the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown with the Rev. Paul F. Zieber officiating. Burial was in Hillsdale Cemetery Londonderry Twp.

Royelene J. Gruber, 81, of Delmont Avenue, Middletown, died Sunday, January 2 at home.
She was retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot and was a member of Highspire United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn F. Gruber; a daughter, Nancy L. Petrovic of Highspire; a son, Glenn H. of Harrisburg; a brother, Harold Wrege of New York; two sisters, Doris Gregowskie of New Jersey and Thelma Edlund of Florida; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Knight Funeral Home, Highspire. Burial will be in Highspire Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was a member of Highspire First Church of God.
She was the widow of Robert E. Sides.
She is survived by a son, George of Gurnee, IL; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at Knight Funeral Home, Highspire. Burial was in Highspire Cemetery.

Frances H. Tripp Seiders, 60, of East Emaus Street, Middletown, died Saturday, January 1 in Hershey Medical Center.
She was a caregiver at Middletown Adult Day Care Center; and a member of Middletown Area Bible Church, Londonderry Twp.
She was the widow of Melvin H. "Pete" Seiders Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Lea Bullock of Elkton, MD; her mother, Charlotte Tripp of Hershey; a sister, Charlene Shope of Palmyra; and a granddaughter, Bethany J. Bullock.
Services were held Tuesday in her church with Rev. Joseph Pagano Jr. officiating. Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.

Edward Wayne Myers, 71, of Market Street, Middletown, died Monday, January 3 in Hershey Medical Center.
He was a retired fabricator at Bethlehem Steel Corp.- Steelton Plant; a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Rescue Hose Co. #3, both of Middletown.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Flory Myers; a son, Robert W. Myers of Parksburg, PA; three daughters, Judy M. Kuether of Steelton, Donna J. Neff of Fredericksburg and Nancy E. Eutzy of Harrisburg; a sister, Velma Boughter of Shermans Dale; 12 granchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown, with the Rev. Dr. J. Richard Eckert, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 10:30 a.m. to time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon R. Firestone Sr.; a son, Vernon R. Firestone Jr. of Sarasota, FL; her mother, Elizabeth H. Moore; a brother, Phillip H. Moore; two sisters, Marie E. Imler and Margaret A. Moore, all of Highspire; and one grandson.
Services were held Monday at the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown with Rev. John S. Hutchison officiating. Burial was in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
