Donald C. Hunter, 78, of North Spruce Street, Middletown, died Friday, April 21 in Polyclinic Hospital.
He was the son of the late Luther B. and Lila Greninger Hunter.
He retired from the former New Cumberland Army Depot and the Traffic Service Bureau Inc., Middletown; was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II; a volunteer driver for the Care-A-Van, Middletown; a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Middletown, where he taught the men's Bible class; and a member of Prince Edwin F&AM Lodge 486 and American Legion Post 594, both of Middletown, and the Harrisburg Consistory.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie O'Connor Hunter; a daughter, Donna H. Waldron of Middletown; and three grandchildren, Bryan and Cheryl Waldron, both of Middletown and Christopher Waldron of Blacksburg, VA.
Services were held Tuesday in his church with Rev. Pamela H. Ford officiating. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
The Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middletown, handled arrangements.

Ginamarie Jiansante
Ginamarie R. Jiansante, 33, of Flintlock Court, Middletown, died Monday, April 24 at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Louis Jiansante.
She was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown and a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Coraopolis.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Deborah and Mario E. J. Lanni, with whom she lived; maternal grandmother, Rose M. Griffith of Pittsburgh; two stepbrothers, Thomas and Mario Lanni of Pittsburgh; and a stepsister, Susan Fisher of New Burlington Twp., NJ.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Seven Sorrows Church, Middletown, with Rev. Louis P. Ogden as celebrant, and at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Coraopolis. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
Viewing will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Anthony Sanvito Funeral Home, Coraopolis.
Bertha Dasenburg
Bertha E. Dasenburg, 87, of Frey Village Nursing Center, Middletown, died Sunday, April 23 in the center.
She was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Julia Wagner Dasenburg.
She was a retired federal employee in Washington, DC and was of the Presbyterian faith.
She is survived by four sisters, Ruth M. Dasenburg, Glenice Marsala and Jeanette Nies, all of Middletown and Juel Niland of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Archbald Protestant Cemetery with Rev. Virginia Miner officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.
Arrangements are being handled by the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middletown.

Nelson Zimmerman
Nelson H. Zimmerman, 89, of Susquehanna Street, Middletown, died Sunday, April 23 in Hospice of Central Pennsylvania Residence, Susquehanna Twp.
He retired from Hershey Foods Corp.; had worked at Phoenix Iron and Steel Co.; and was a member of Church of the Brethren, Rescue Hose Company 3 and Anglers and Hunters, all of Middletown.
He was the widower of Ruth Crist Zimmerman.
He is survived by a daughter, Gloria Via of Palmyra; a sister, Dorothy Wittman; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Coble-Reber Funeral Home, Middletown. Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Celia Eshenauer
Celia M. Eshenaur, 87, of Hanshue Street, Oberlin, died Friday, November 12 in HealthSouth Rehabilitation, Lower Allen Twp.
She retired as a presser from Harrisburg Children's Dress Co.; and was a member of Neidig Memorial United Methodist Church, Oberlin, the Swatara Twp. Golden Age Club and the Swatara Church of God Golden Agers.
She was the widow of Earl W. Eshenauer Sr.
She is survived by a son, Earl W. Jr., with whom she lived; two sisters, Alberta M. Shellenhamer of Harrisburg and Alice L. Redmond of Camp Hill; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday in Knight Funeral Home, Highspire. Burial was in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.

Robert Edwards
Robert Edwards, 78, of Wyoming Street, Royalton, died Wednesday, November 10 in Harrisburg Hospital.
He was a retired employee of Risendorf Leather Company, Gloveville, NY; an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Middletown Area Bible Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn E. Berry Edwards; two daughters, Debra M. Whitbeck of Gloveville, NY and Roberta L. Dether of New Castle, DE; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday in his church. Burial was in Hillsdale Cemetery, Londonderry Twp. with The Rev. Joseph Pagano, his pastor, officiating.

Arthur McGill
Arthur R. "Gap" McGill, 79, of Main Street, Oberlin, formerly of Middletown, died Saturday, November 13 at the home of his granddaughter in Rutherford Heights.
He was a retired fireman at Ft. Indiantown Gap Military Reservation; an Army Air Force veteran of World War II; and a member of Middletown Moose Lodge.
He is survived by two daughters, Alice J. Thorn, with whom he lived and Karen A. Donley of Elizabethtown; a brother, Donald and a sister, Loretta McGill, both of Middletown; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown with The Rev. Thomas H. Sanagorski officiating. Burial will be in Hillsdale Cemetery, Londonderry Twp.
Moose memorial services were held Tuesday.
Walter Lightner
Walter T. Lightner, 79, of Ridge Road, Elizabethtown, died Friday, November 12 in Loudoun Memorial Hospital, Leesburg, VA.
He was a retired supervisor at the former New Cumberland Army Depot; an Army veteran of World War II; a member of VFW Post 5667, Moose Lodge 596, both of Elizabethtown, American Legion Post 594 and Elks Lodge 1092, both of Middletown, New Cumberland Federal Credit Union and St. Peter's Catholic Church, Elizabethtown.
He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Ferentz Lightner; two stepdaughters, Virginia A. Smith and Michele A. Mackey, both of Sterling, VA; seven brothers, Earl of Camp Hill, John of York, Blake of Harrisburg, Gilbert of Bellwood, Mervin of Clinton, George of Hollidaysburg and Rhoddy of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Marjorie Miller of Tyrone; eight grandchildren; and nine geat-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday in his church. Burial was in Mt. Joy Cemetery.
