Robert E. Seavey Jr., 55, of South 80th Street, Harrisburg, died Thursday, November 11 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He was a project manager for Parson's Inc., of Pasadena, CA; an Army veteran of the Vietnam War; and a member of IBEW Local 756, Daytona Beach, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Bressler Seavey; three sons, Robert E. III of Concord, NH, Paul R. Potts of Steelton and Howard R. Potts of Middletown; two daughters, Amy Markham of Middletown and Lisa Leonard of IL; his father, Richard Mignella of South Bound Brook, NJ; a brother, Collins Morgan of FL; and eight granchildren.
Services were held Monday at the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown with Rev. Paul W. Maulfair Jr. officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Jessee Harold
Jessee J. Sheetz Harold, 70, of Shepherdstown, WV, died Thursday, November 11 at Canterbury of Shepherdstown.
Born April 26, 1929 in Mt. Joy, PA, she was the daughter of the late John H. Sheetz and Bessie Blanche Douple Sheetz.
She was a homemaker, formerly a school teacher and was a graduate of the former Middletown High School, Middletown, PA and St. Joseph's College in Emmitsburg, MD; was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Middletown, PA and St. Peter's Catholic Church, Huber Heights, OH.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Harold of Fernley, NV and Jeanne Harold, Kearneysville, WV; and a son, David Harold of Denver, CO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Harold and by her stepmother, Blondena Connelly Sheetz.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 19 at 7 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 327 West King Street, Martinsburg, WV with Rev. T. Matthew Rowgh officiating.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 20 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 235 Maple Street, Lebanon, PA.

Helen Hindman
Helen W. Hindman, 83, of Frey Village, Middletown, formerly of College Avenue, Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, March 8 at Frey Village.
Born October 18, 1916 in Rising Sun, MD, she was a daughter of the late Cecil V. and Nellie Keilholtz Woollens.
She was a graduate of Oxford High School; managed the former Montgomery Ward catalog store, Elizabethtown, retiring in 1978; was a very active member of the Donegal Presbyterian Church, Mount Joy, since 1944; served as chairman of Church World Service and sewing supplies, Sunday school teacher of primary, secretary/treasurer of Donegal Board of Deacons, Circle leader and secretary of the Women's Assoc.; and loved baking and was an avid seamstress.
She was the widow of James A. Hindman III, who died August 20, 1999.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda H., wife of James Campbell, Mount Joy and Joan E., wife of John Kyler II, Marshfield, MA; two sisters, D. Louise Barnhart of Middletown and Jean, wife of Parker Fernald, Wilmington, DE; two brothers, Paul H. Woollens and William Carl Woollens, both of Oxford; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Joyce Anne Hindman and a brother, Richard C. Woollens.
Funeral services were held Saturday at her church. Graveside services were also held later that day.

Charles Sandy
Charles A. Sandy, 88, of ManorCare Health Services, Lower Paxton Twp., formerly of Bressler, died Monday, March 6 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
He retired as a crane operator from Bethlehem Steel Corp. and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was the widower of Thelma M. Fink Sandy.
He is survived by three sons, Charles E. of Middletown, Samuel R. of Goldsboro and Daniel J. of Greenville, SC; a sister, Grace Zellers of Palmyra; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday in Knight Funeral Home, Highspire. Burial was in Grantville Cemetery.
Florence Smith
Florence L. Shireman Smith, 85, of Frey Village, formerly of Holly Hall, Village of Pineford, both in Middletown, died Thursday, March 9 in Frey Village.
Born in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Edith (Beard) Shireman.
She was a homemaker; graduate of the former Middletown High School Class of 1933; member and former Sunday school teacher of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Middletown.
She was the widow of Robert W. Smith Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney K., husband of Marge, of Paeonian Springs, VA and Robert W. Jr. of Middletown; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday in Coble-Reber Funeral Home, Middletown, with the Rev. Paul Zieber officiating. Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.

Paul Vogel Sr.
Paul E. Vogel Sr., 86, of Mulberry Street, Reading, died Saturday, January 8, 2000, in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since December 26, 1999.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Edward and Ella E. (Hoffman) Vogel.
He was employed 16 years as a hosiery machine mechanic for C.A. Wanner; later he worked 13 years as a sergeant at Berks County Prison, retiring in 1976; was an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.
He was a life member of the Reading Chapter 10 of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Ex-Prisoners of War, Allentown; also, a life member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 410, Middletown and the Young Men's Democratic Club, Reading.
He was the husband of Ethel E. (Welsh) Vogel. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary May 22, 1999.
He is survived by a son, Paul E. Jr. of Reading; two daughters, Judith A. (Vogel) Klusewitz of Mohnton and Marie E. Vogel of Reading; a stepson, Robert E. Reed of Middletown; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated January 12 in St. Joseph Church. Entombment was in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale.
The Aumen Funeral Home, Penn Street, Reading, handled arrangements.
Ethel Vogel
Ethel E. Vogel, 89, of Mulberry Street, Reading, died Sunday, March 12 in her home.
Born in Middletown, Dauphin County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Welsh Sr. and Ruth (Houser) Welsh.
She was employed 16 years as a knitter by Camp Hosiery, retiring in 1975.
She was the widow of Paul E. Vogel Sr., who passed away January 8. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary May 22, 1999.
She is survived by two sons, Robert E. Reed of Middletown and Paul E. Vogel Jr. of Muhlenburg Township; two daughters, Judith A. (Vogel) Klusewitz of Mohnton and Marie E. Vogel of Reading; a brother, Paul Welsh and a sister, Betty (Welsh) Bretz, both of Middletown; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m.Wednesday in Auman Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale.
Rita Kern
Rita Faye Kern, 63, of Aspen Street, Middletown, died Saturday, March 11 at home.
She was a daughter of the late Herman and Thelma Prosser Cook.
She was a graduate of Bethlehem High School; attended nursing school for two years; was a coordinator of benefits at Synertech Health Solutions, Harrisburg for 10 years; and was a member of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Middletown.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, David D. Kern; two sons, Kevan D. Kern of Middletown and Nathan A. Kern of State College; two sisters, Mildred (Billie), marriage to Lester Moore of Hopkins, SC and Eunice Ross; three brothers, Gene, marriage to Pat Cook of Memphis, TN, Larry Cook of Savannah, GA and Donald, marriage to Sue Cook of Beaufort, SC; and three grandchildren, Darian Kern, Linsey Kern and Jordan Marks Kern.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Coble-Reber Funeral Home, Middletown, with Rev. Arthur J. Fox officiating. Burial will be in Hillsdale Cemetery, Londonderry Twp.
Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
