Margaret M. "Peggy" Hawthorne, 76, of Schwanger Road, Elizabethtown, died Friday, March 10 at home.
She was a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Middletown; enjoyed camping, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Hawthorne Sr.; a son, John W. Jr., husband of Susan G. Good of Lititz; three daughters, Theresa J. Royer and Penny M., wife of Dwight L. Rager, both of Lancaster, and Jennifer A., wife of Joseph K. Reinhold of Lititz; two sisters, Mildred Kunkle and Dorothy Cross, both of Middletown; a brother, Frank Greenly of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Elizabethtown, with the Rev. Louis P. Odgen officiating. Burial was in St. Peter's Parish Cemetery.
Viewing was Tuesday at the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middletown.

Esther Spears
Esther M. Houser Spears, 76, of Taylor, Michigan, formerly of Royalton, died Tuesday, January 18, 2000, after a long illness.
She was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Alice M. Kope Houser of Royalton and Middletown.
She was the widow of Tracy Spears Sr. of Taylor.
She is survived by seven children, Tracy Jr., Kenny, Tom, Johnny, Nancy, Shirley Patterson and Beverly Buress; a sister, Romaine Garber of Elizabethtown; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on January 22 at the Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, S. Telegraph Road, Taylor, MI, with the Pastor Jack L. Sallee officiating. Interment was in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joann Lincoln of Taylor, MI and a brother, Harry E. Houser Jr. of Middletown.
Eleanore Weber
Eleanore M. Weber, 68, of North Union Street, Middletown, died Sunday, March 12 in Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Middletown and an employee of Fox's Market, Middletown.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Hoke of Newport; three brothers, Arthur H. Weber Jr., with whom she lived, William Weber of Elizabethtown and George V. Weber of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Marion L. Munz of Middletown; two granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middletown, with the Rev. Dr. J. Richard Eckert, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Geraldine Andrews
Geraldine D. "Rusty" Andrews, 78, of Wyoming Street, Royalton, formerly of Oklahoma, died Sunday, February 27 at home.
She was a retired school teacher for the Middletown Area School District and the former Royalton School District; was a taxi driver in the Middletown area; and recently was employed by AARP of Harrisburg.
She was past president of the American Legion Post #594 Auxiliary; member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; member of A.B.A.T.E. of Pennsylvania; and an honorary member of the Turtle Indian Tribe of Oklahoma.
She is survived by a son, Charles "Fritz" Andrews of Lincoln, MT; and a sister, Tula M. Adams of Hermiston, OR.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 500 Penn Street, Royalton, with Rev. David W. Trostle officiating. Interment will be private.

Leroy Lutz Sr.
Leroy A. Lutz Sr., 86, of Harrisburg, died Sunday, March 12 in Rockville, MD.
He was the owner of the former Lutz's Barber Shop, Wormleysburg; member of Derry Street United Methodist Church United, Harrisburg; and enjoyed singing, gardening, league bowling and was a model train buff.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Hoover Lutz; a son, Glen A. Lutz of Marysville; a daughter, Lynn Leitzel of Duncannon; a step-daughter, Barbara Bennett of Rockville, MD; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Middletown First Church of God, West High Street, with the Rev. William F. Reist officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Harrisburg.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. unitl time of services Friday at the church.

Milton Baylor
Milton R. Baylor, 84, of Oberlin, died Monday, March 13 at home.
He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp.; was a member of Neidig Memorial United Methodist Church, Oberlin; and member and former assistant fire chief of the Oberlin Fire Company.
He is survived by his wife, Lena B. Van Gilder Baylor; two sons, M. Kenneth of Chambers Hill and Terry of Palmyra; a daughter, Kathleen of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in his church. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin.
Viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the church.

Bobby Johnson
Bobby R. Johnson, 70, of Middletown, formerly of York, died Sunday, August 6, in Hershey Medical Center.
He had been a custodian for York City School District and also worked for Sheffer Beer Distributor. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division; and a member of Grace Lutheran Church; Hawk Gunning Club; 13th Ward Political Club; Shiloh American Legion Post 791; a life member of West York VFW Post 8951; Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 410, Middletown; Viking Athletic Association; Union Fire Company, Middletown; AARP; York County Chapter of the PA Association of School Retirees; and 511 Parachute Infantry Association.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Eberly Johnson; two daughters, Judy A. Keefer of Middletown and Jill A. Hunter of York; a son, Jay A. Johnson of Elizabethtown; three granddaughters; his stepmother, Rachel Johnson of York; two sisters, his twin, Betty M. Singer of Waymart and Roma J. Richey of Peachtree City, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday in his church with the Rev. Thomas E. McKee and Rev. Judith A. McKee officiating.
Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

William Risser
William L. Risser, 79, of East Harrisburg Pike, Middletown, died Tuesday, August 8, at home.
He retired as an electronic maintenance repairman at HERCO; was the former owner of Bill's Electrical, Middletown. He was a member of Christ the Savior Orthodox Church, Harrisburg; and Hummelstown American Legion Post 265.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes K. Risser; and a daughter, JoAnn Martini of Elizabethtown.
Services were held Saturday at his church, with the Rev. Daniel D. Ressetar as celebrant.
Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.
