Alma Hoch
Alma M. Hoch, 87, of Masonic Homes, Elizabethtown, formerly of Middletown, died Saturday, January 16 in the homes.
Born in Dauphin County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel T. and Sadie Meashey Demy.
She retired as a keypunch operator with the Commonwealth after 25 years of service; and was a member of First Church of God, Middletown, Highspire Senior Citizens and liked baking and knitting.
She was the widow of Irvin L. Hoch.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Whye of Hershey and Mildred Gould of Lower Paxton Twp.; three sisters, Katherine Sides of Lebanon, Florence Habig of Middletown and Erma Buchenaur of Neffsville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in her church with the Rev. William H. Reist officiating. Burial will be in Highspire Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Coble-Reber Funeral Home, Middletown, is handling arrangements.

Evan Gourley
Evan Cooke Gourley, 18, of Fox Grove Place, Hummelstown, died Monday, January 18, 1999 in South Hanover Township as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born December 14, 1980 in Harrisburg.
He was a senior at Lower Dauphin High School where he was captain of the boys basketball and baseball teams; was a junior league basketball coach; a member of Peer Helpers at Lower Dauphin High School; the Big 15 Patriot News basketball team; and Trinity United Methodist Church, Hummelstown.
He is survived by his parents, Donald E. and Linda Poole Gourley; and his maternal grandmother, June Poole of Hummelstown.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at his church. Burial will be 11 a. m. Thursday at Hummelstown Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p. m. Wednesday at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Buse Funeral Home, Hummelstown.

Genevieve Kleinfelter
Genevieve (Jean) Kleinfelter, 87, of Spring Street, Middletown, died Tuesday, January 19 in Frey Village.
Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late William and Antoinette (Pituch) Yasko.
She was a graduate of Hanover Twp. High School, Luzerne County; a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Middletown and its Queen Esther class; a member of the Middletown Garden Club and the Middletown Historical Society; and a homemaker.
She was the widow of H. Russell Kleinfelter.
She is survived by two sons, William R. Kleinfelter of Middletown and Jay G. Kleinfelter of Linglestown; one sister, Amelia Dowling of Wilkes-Barre; one brother, Al Yasko of Fairborn, OH; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. J. Richard Eckert officiating. Burial will be in South Belle Grove Cemetery, North Annville Twp.
Viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. Friday in the church.

Esther Zeiters
Esther M. Zeiters, 83, of Chambers Street, Bressler, died Monday, March 20 at her son's home in Middletown.
She was a member of Strickler's Mennonite Church and its Sewing Circle.
She was the widow of Raymond H. Zeiters.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Gall of Middletown and Ruthann Chris Schaffner of Norfolk, VA; a son, Ray L. of Middletown; two sisters, Margaret Arnold of Bressler and Florence Shope of Middletown; two brothers, Robert M. Landis of Bressler and Victor M. Landis of Middletown; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday in her church. Burial was in Grand View Memorial Park, North Annville Twp.
Knight Funeral Home, Highspire, handled arrangements.

Lucille Roach
Lucille S. Roach, 84, of the Middletown Home, Lower Swatara Twp., formerly of Interfaith Apartments, Middletown, died Thursday, March 23 in the home.
Born in Harrisonburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Virgie (Miller) Saufley Sr.
She retired as a seamstress from the former RoughWear Manufacturing, Middletown; was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Middletown and its choir; and a former member of the Middletown choral group, the Happy Wanderers.
She is survived by a daughter, Marci Bowers of Harrisburg; a brother, Hubert Saufley Jr. of Palmyra; two sisters, Eva Frederick of Palmyra and Mildred Hershberger of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday in her church with Pastor Pamela Ford officiating. Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to her church, Ann and Catherine streets, Middletown, PA 17057.

Thelma Parthemore
Thelma M. Parthemore, 83, formerly of Highspire, died January 24 in the Frey Village Retirement Center.
She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Middletown; and a retired employee of the former Parthemore Dairies, Highspire.
She was the widow of Charles E. Parthemore.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial graveside services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2000 at 3 p.m. in Highspire Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Knight Funeral Home, Highspire.

Bruce Hardy Sr.
Bruce William Hardy Sr., 67, of Locust Grove Road, Bainbridge, died Sunday, March 26 in Lancaster General Hospital.
He retired as executive housekeeper for the Penn Harris Hotel; was a member of Bainbridge American Legion Post 197; and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
He was the widower of Betty L. Feeser.
He is survived by his wife, Jane E. Feeser Hemperly Hardy of Bainbridge; five sons, Bruce Hardy Jr., Jerry Hardy and Richard, all of Bainbridge, Charles Hardy of Falmouth and Jac Hardy of Thompsontown; one daughter, Kathy Bradley of New Jersey; six stepchildren, Mary Hoffman of Elizabethtown, Glenn Hemperly of Middletown, Lloyd Hemperly of Falmouth, Leone Hipple and Margie Smith, both of Bainbridge and John Hemperly of New Danville; three brothers, John Dupes of Middletown, Charles Hardy of Elizabethtown and Ralph Hardy of Oberlin, nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
No services will be held.

Cremation Society of Pennsylvania handled arrangements.
