Robert Wentzel
Robert James Wentzel, 18, of Greenville, TX, died Saturday, October 23 at the Presbyterian Hospital, Greenville TX.
The son of Herman and Romona Yost Wentzel, he was born in Greenville on September 7, 1981.
A senior at Celeste High School, he was a member of the FFA and Beta clubs and also umpired and coached. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his parents of Greenville; a sister, Michelle Wentzel; and grandparents Robert and Lois Douglas of Middletown, and Jim and Norma Butler of Florida.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, October 26 at the First Baptist Church of Celeste, TX with Rev. James Ralston officiating.
Peters Funeral Home of Celeste, TX, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Celeste School Library Fund, PO Box 67, Celeste, TX 75423.
A local memorial service will be held during the summer of 2000.

Warren Schreiner Jr.
Warren J. Schreiner Jr., 79, of Linden Street, Middletown, died Wednesday, November 3 in the Masonic Homes, Elizabethtown.
He retired from Naval Air Systems Headquarters, Falls Church, VA; was a former Middletown Borough councilman; an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II; and a member of First Church of God, American Legion Post 594, VFW Post 1620, Elks Lodge 1092, former fire chief and former president of Union Hose Company and the Prince Edwin Lodge F&AM, all of Middletown, Zembo Shrine Temple, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon and Harrisburg Consistory Mini-Car Unit.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kauffman Schreiner; a son, Warren J. III of Wernersville; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday in his church with Rev. William Reist officiating. Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.
Masonic Rites were held Friday in the Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners' Hospital for Children, Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19101.

Ralph Espenshade Sr.
Ralph H. Espenshade Sr., 79, of Strites Road, Lower Swatara Twp., died Wednesday, November 3 in Holy Spirit Hospital.
He retired as a supervisor from Hershey Foods Corp.; was a former maintenance supervisor for Londonderry Twp.; and was a moving force in obtaining the location for the Sunset Golf Course, Londonderry Township; was a former president of the Hillsdale Cemetery Association; and a member of Palm Lutheran Church, Palmyra; and the Londonderry Senior Citizens.
He was the widower of Mildred Shope Espenshade and Dorothy Deaven Espenshade.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Daniels Espenshade; three sons, Ralph H. Jr. of Bloomsbury, NJ, Kenneth E. of Londonderry Twp. and Frederick E. of San Jose, CA; two daughters, Kathleen A. Menear of Elizabethtown and Danielle R. Espenshade, at home; a sister, Pauline Coy of Shippensburg; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday in Geyers United Methodist Church, Londonderry Twp. with Rev. William Cluley and Rev. Thomas Sanagorski officiating. Burial was in Hillsdale Cemetery, Londonderry Twp.
The Frank E. Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home, Middletown handled arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to his church, Railroad and Cherry streets, Palmyra, PA 17078.

Karl Hoover
Karl A. Hoover, 99, of Second Street, Steelton, died Tuesday, November 2 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
He retired as a manager from American Oil Co.; was an Army veteran of World War I; a charter member and past master of Steelton-Swatara F&AM Lodge 775; and a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Highspire, Steelton American Legion Post 420, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shrine Temple and Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 43.
He was the widower of Dorothea E. Raver Hoover.
He is survived by a daughter, Dorothea E. Smith of Steelton; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday in his church. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Middletown Cemetery.
Knight Funeral Home, Highspire, handled arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to his church, Broad and Paxton streets, Highspire, PA 17034.

Joanne Bishop
Joanne M. Keller Bishop, 64, of Royal Road, Palmyra, passed away Thursday, November 4 at her home.
Born in Reading on May 6, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Keller and Mabel Houser.
She retired after 25 years of service as a shipping and purchasing clerk for AMP Inc.; graduated in 1953 from Middletown High School; was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hoernerstown; a member of the Hershey Racquet Club and the Traveltimers Camping Club, Palmyra; and was an avid tennis player and enjoyed crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Daniel H. Bishop; a son, Harry L. Saltzer of Abbottstown; a daughter, Kathy L., wife of Edward Gottwald of Hummelstown; three stepsons, Craig Bishop of Harrisburg, Jeffrey Bishop of Lemoyne and Todd Bishop of Middletown; one stepdaughter, Michelle Bishop of Lakeland, FL; two brothers, Arlan Keller of Palmyra and Robert Keller of Temple; five grandchildren, Jeremy Saltzer of Springville, Michelle Christopher of Milford, DE, Lindsay Gottwald and David Gottwald, both of Hummelstown and Jesea Bishop of Lakeland, FL; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary Saltzer of Springville, Shante Mowry of Springville, Brooke Kinard and Tyler Kinard, both of Dover.
Funeral services were held Monday in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Christopher Gentile officiating. Entombment was in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Township.
Memorial contributions may be made to Comfort Care Hospice, 205 Grandview Avenue, Camp Hill, PA 17011 or to the American Cancer Socieity, Capital Region Unit, 1500 North Second Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102.

Andrew Grundon
Andrew D. Grundon, 18, of Mapledale Road, Elizabethtown, passed away Saturday, November 6 in Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Lebanon on December 20, 1980, he was the son of Todd N. and Jayne M. Snavely Grundon, with whom he lived.
He was employed as a cook at the Hilton Garden Inn, Hummelstown and the Cocoa Perk Coffee House & Cafe, Hershey; formerly attended Lower Dauphin High School; was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hummelstown; and the National Rifle Association.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Matthew T. Grundon of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Heather E. Grundon and Rebecca S. Grundon, both at home; his maternal grandmother, Betty J. Walborn Snavely of Palmyra; one niece, Madeline A. Grundon of Elizabethtown; and one nephew, Wyatt T. Grundon of Elizabethtown.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Dr. Michael L. Stine, his pastor, officiating. Friends are invited to call at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.

Edith Dehmey
Edith S. Dehmey, 92 of Lititz Pike, Lancaster, formerly of Middletown, died Sunday, November 7 at Brethren Village, Lancaster, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Londonderry Twp., Dauphin County, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Leah Stoner Dehmey.
A homemaker, Miss Dehmey was a faithful member of Swatara Hill Church of the Brethren in Middletown, and enjoyed crocheting afghans and doilies.
She is survived by a sister, Martha D. Brandt of Manheim; and several nieces and nephews.
Miss Dehmey was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Dehmey, and two sisters, Mary Kopp and Getrude Dehmey.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Frank S. Miller Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, with Rev. Dr. Levi J. Ziegler and Pastor Ben Simmons officiating. Interment will be in Hillsdale Cemetery, Londonderry Twp.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
The family requests that flowers please be omitted. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Endowment Fund of Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.

Edith Reber
Edith R. Thornton Reber, 85, of North Water Street, Middletown, died Wednesday, October 27 in Frey Village Retirement Center, Middletown.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late David and Fannie Rodgers Thornton.
She was retired as a beautician and cosmetician from the former Reber Funeral Home, Middletown; was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Middletown and a member and former teacher of its Queen Esther Sunday School Class; and a member of Eastern Star Chapter 322, Rebekah Lodge 486 and the Women's Club, all of Middletown, and Hershey Area Chapter #3466 of AARP.
She is survived by her husband, Woodrow W. Reber; a daughter, Linda G. Mason of Miami, FL; a son, Barry J. of Elverson; a brother, David M. Thornton of Philadelphia; and a granddaughter, Heidi Mason of Miami.
Services were held Saturday in her church with Rev. Dr. J. Richard Eckert officiating. Burial was in Middletown Cemetery.
Coble-Reber Funeral Home, Middletown, handled arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to her church, Union and Spring streets, Middletown, PA 17057.
