Orwin - Edna I. Warfield, 96, of the Lebanon Valley Home in Annville, formerly of Orwin, died Friday, Jan. 31 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon.
Born Jan. 3, 1907 in Orwin, she was a daughter of the late David and Lydia Fetterhoff Batdorf and was the widow of Harry Warfield.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Reinerton.
In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by a son, Lamarr; a sister, Ann and a brother, Darwin.
Surviving are a son, Stanley of Lebanon; five grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 4 in the chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. in Tower City. Burial was in St. Peter's Cemetery in Orwin.

Michael E. Wilt II
Millersburg - Michael E. Wilt II, 62, of 890 State St., died Friday, Jan. 31 at his home.
Born in Upper Paxton Twp., he was the son of the late Richard and Ruth Welker Wilt and was a graduate of Millersburg High School; Montana University with a degree in forestry and Penn State school of turf management.
He was a machinist at Alvord-Polk Tool Company in Millersburg and former part owner of the Lykens Valley Golf Course and Steak House. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Millersburg; Susquehanna Lodge No. 364 F&AM; Millersburg Forest No. 125 of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon and American Legion No 326. He was a past member of the Millersburg Lions Club; a past board member of the Millersburg Area School District; past president of the Central Pennsylvania Golf Course Superintendents Association; and was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the 82nd airborne division.
Surviving are his wife Joanne M. Brightbill Wilt; a son, M. Edward III of Hummelstown; two daughters, Dr. Faith M. Wilt of Hershey and Heather M. Kauffman of York Haven; a sister, Patricia Lowery of Halifax; and a grandson.
Preceding him in death was a brother, John D. Wilt.
Memorial services were held Feb. 4 at his church. Masonic rites and military honors also were held.

Robert S. Grimm
Tower City - Robert S. Grimm, 82, of Tower City RD, died Friday, Jan. 31 at his home.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired mechanic from Ft. Indiantown Gap in Annville.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, Naomi C. Barry, and a brother.
Surviving are his wife, Maureen M. Elison Shadle; two daughters, Barbara Stutzman and Roberta Masarik, both of Tower City; two step-sons, Brian Shadle of Muir and Kerry Shadle of Tower City; a half brother, Samuel Stephen Grimm of Clearwater, Fla; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life service was held Feb. 3 in the chapel of Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. in Tower City. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Charles W. Roland
DAUPHIN - Charles William Roland, 92, of 1015 Lee Drive, died Thursday, Jan. 30, at Harrisburg Hospital.
He was the son of the late Peter and Mary Roland and was a foreman with the Harrisburg Water Department.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine O. Roland of Dauphin; three daughters, Mary C. Chamberlin of Enola, Betty Louise Opdenaker of Bellmawr, N.J. and Elaine M. Friese of Annville; 11 grand- children; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great- grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 3 at Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Homes, Inc. in Susquehanna Twp. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisburg.
Chester H. Reed
Valley View - Chester Harvey Reed, 89, of 1129 W. Main St., died Thursday, Jan. 30 at the Schuylkill Center in Pottsville.
Born Nov. 2, 1913 in Hegins Twp., he was the son of the late Harvey A. and Estella Mae Yoder Reed and was the widower of Marian E. Schrope Reed.
He was a 1931 graduate of the former Hegins Twp. High School and was retired owner of the former Reed's Service Center in Valley View. He also worked for his brother at Palmer H. Reed Motor Sales and the Reed family farm at Hegins RD. In the 1940's, he was a former tax collector for Hegins Twp.
He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Valley View; F&AM Lodge 797 of Valley View; Harrisburg Consistory; Zembo Temple and Hegins/Valley View Rotary Club.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Palmer H. Reed.
Surviving are a son, Donald C. Reed of Lancaster; a daughter, Alice M. Miller of Valley View; four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 3 at his church in Valley View. Burial was in the church Cemetery.

Leon F. Richter
TREMONT - Leon F. Richter, 81, of 27 Spring Street, died Monday, Jan. 27 at Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Born in Tremont, Mar. 28, 1921, he was a son of the late Oscar A. and Alma Herb Richter. He was a 1939 graduate of Tremont High School and a 1941 graduate of Casey Jones School of Aeronautics in Newark, N.J.
He was an independent coal miner and served as past president of Mercury Coal Company and Emerald Contracting Company., and past vice president of Kocher Coal Company.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Tremont; past president of its council; past president of the Independent Miners Association and Pine Grove Area school board. He was a member of the Valley Lodge No. 797, F&AM of Valley View; Brennan Keip American Legion Post in Tremont and Schuylkill Republican Party Century Club.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Loeb.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth L., of Valley View; a daughter, Susan Graver Koch of Tremont; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 31 at Minnig-Berger Funeral Home in Tremont. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Tremont.
Marie E. Klouser
HEGINS - Marie Elizabeth Klouser, 85, of Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center and formerly of Hegins, died Sat, Jan. 18 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Pottsville.
Born Nov. 12, 1917 in Lykens Twp., she was the daughter of the late Darius and Ida Witmer Wiest.
She was a retired janitor of the former Philmark Manufacturing Company in Valley View and a member of Zion Lutheran (Klinger's) Church in Erdman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Klouser; a son, Kermit; and two brothers, Raymond and Elwood Wiest.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Klouser of Hegins and Dennis Klouser of Reinholds; two sisters, Elsie Gradwell of Elizabethville and Irene Teacher of Harrisburg; and one grandson.
Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home in Valley View.
Burial will be in Church of God Cemetery in Valley View.
Clifton "Cliff" Wiley
NEW CUMBERLAND - Clifton "Cliff" Wiley, 83, of 16th Street, formerly of Penbrook, died Friday, at Holy Spirit Hospital.
He was a graduate of John Harris High School and a retired employee of the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot, Ship Parts Control Center. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II; a member and former trustee of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Penbrook and a life member of the Pennbrook Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife, Jesse E. Kline Wiley; two sons, Dennis C. of Hopewell, Va. and Gregg of Penbrook; two daughters, Lynne Richards of Dauphin and Shari Tamanini of New Cumberland; two sisters, Helen Peel of Tempe, Ariz. and Marion Bixler of Camp Hill; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 4 at his church. Burial was at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in West Hanover.
