Millersburg - Helen M. Roadcap, 84, a resident of the Kepler Home in Elizabethville, formerly of 765 Church St., died Friday, Dec. 20 at the nursing home.
Born in Upper Paxton Twp., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ida Keiter Yeager and was the widow of Raymond E. Roadcap.
She was retired from the former Johnson-Bailee shoe factory in Millersburg and was a member of David's Church in Killinger.
Surviving are a daughter, Annabelle Bergey of Millersburg; two sons, Melvin of Greencastle and Clair of Halifax; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 23 at the Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. in Millersburg. Burial was in David's Church Cemetery in Killinger.

Emma V. Grimm
HALIFAX - Emma V. Grimm, 80, of Midville, Ga., died Friday, Dec. 20 at home.
Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late David and Clara Webster Seltzer Sr.
She was a retired receptionist and secretary for a feed and seed company and a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are her daughter, Carol Smith of Midville, Ga.; two sons, Rodney of Franklintown and Ricky of Lewisberry; a sister, Clara Kinsinger of Dauphin; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 27 at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. in Millersburg. Burial was in the Messiah Lutheran Cemetery in Fisherville.
Elsie E. Kratzer
Elizabethville - Elsie E. Kratzer, 99, a resident of the Kepler Home, formerly of 420 W. Main St., died Saturday, Dec. 21 at the nursing home.
Born in Gratz, she was the daughter of the late Dr. William and Pruella Huntzinger Lebo.
She was a former employee of the Elizabethville post office; a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Elizabethville; and a charter member of the Elizabethville Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John and a son, Louis, founders of Kratzer Hardware in Elizabethville.
Surviving are her daughter, Sarah Challenger of Elizabethville; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Dec. 24 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Elizabethville.

Chester Underkoffler
WILLIAMSTOWN - Chester L. "Boo" Underkoffler, 84, of 419 W. Broad St., died Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Pottsville Hospital.
Born in Williamstown, he was the son of the late Rufus and Berdetta Bowerman Underkoffler and was a retired partner of the former Underkoffler Coal Company in Lykens.
He was of the Protestant faith and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a life member of Williamstown American Legion No. 239; Liberty Hose Company No. 1; Dauphin County Fireman Association and Cumberland County Fire Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Catherine E. Reho Underkoffler; a daughter, Pamela J. of Williamstown; two sons, Joseph C. of Millersburg and Laurence P. "Twiggs" of Williamstown; a brother, Glen of Williamstown; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 26 at the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. in Williamstown. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.

A. Jeannette Cowden
DAUPHIN - A. Jeannette Cowden, 84, died Sunday, Dec. 22 at home.
She was a member and deacon of Hope Presbyterian Church in Dauphin and had been an active member of the Zembo Shrine Band Aides and the Middle Paxton Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert.
Surviving are her husband, J. Robert; two sons, James of Harrisburg and Thomas of San Diego, Calif.; and a granddaughter.
Services were held Thursday, Dec. 26 in her church. Burial was in Rolling Green Memorial Park in Camp Hill.

Ruth E. Jones
TOWER CITY - Ruth E. Jones, 89, of 831 East Wiconisco Avenue, died Wednesday, Dec. 25 at her home.
She was a retired seamstress from the garment industry.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Tower City and ILGWU.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and a daughter, Barbara Yeagley.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ellen Bender and Janice M. Luckenbill, both of Tower City; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the convenience of the family. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery in Tower City.

Irvin T. Paul
ELIZABETHVILLE - Irvin T. Paul, 62, of 100 Arch Street, died Sunday, Dec. 22 at the Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Fearnot, he was the son of John J. and Jean M. Strohecker Paul of Elizabethville.
He was a retired machinist for Reiff and Nestor in Lykens. He had memberships in the Short Mountain Gun Club, Erdman Sportmen Association, Elizabethville VFW No. 6343, Gratz VFW No. 2385, Elizabethville American Legion Post No. 404 and IUE-CWA No. 135. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served aboard the U.S.S. Hornet.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Judith A. Buffington Paul; two sons, Dennis Paul of Halifax and David Paul, Sr. of Elizabethville; two daughters, Diane Gladney of Bastrop, La. and Darcy Reigner of Elizabethville; one brother, John Paul, Jr. of Mechanicsburg; and five grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, Dec. 26 at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. in Elizabethville.
Internment with military honor guard was at Maple Grove Cemetery in Elizabethville.

Albert M. Schucker
VALLEY VIEW - Albert M. Schucker, 87, of 1125 West Maple Street, died Tuesday, Dec. 24 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Clarks Valley, he is a son of the late Milton and Maude Updegrave Schucker.
He was a graduate of the former Porter-Tower High School in Tower City.
He was a retired orchard employee from Richard Maurer Orchards in Valley View and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley View and the National Rifle Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary R. Schaeffer Schucker.
Surviving are a son, Forrest of Albany, N.Y.; a daughter Carol A. Lengyel of Valley View; and a sister, Esther Moyer of Tower City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, Dec. 28 at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home in Valley View. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
