JOLIETT - Lorraine L. Harner-Morgan, 80, of 43 Main Street, died Thursday, Dec. 26.
Born in Tremont, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd S. and Lena Helmschmidt Harner.
She was a 1940 graduate of the former Tremont High School and was a charter member of the Tremont High School Band. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pine Grove.
She was retired from area dress and blouse companies where she worked as a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd F. Harner.
Surviving are two sons, Keith R. Morgan and Rodney E. Morgan of Joliett; and an aunt, Helen Zabor of Philadelphia.
Services were held Monday, Dec. 30 at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Homes in Valley View. Burial was in Friedens Cemetery in Hegins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's Church Organ Fund, 213 Coal St., Port Carbon, 17965 or to either of the two Schuylkill County SPCAs.

Jack E. Shade, Sr.
GRATZ - Jack E. Shade, Sr., 73, of East Market Street, died Friday, Dec. 27 at Elk Run Road. Gains Twp., Tioga County as the result of a snowmobile accident.
Born in Hegins, he was son of the late Marlin R. and Erma Huntsinger Shade, Sr.
He was retired from the Naval Depot in Mechanicsburg, a member of the Simeon United Lutheran Church in Gratz, the Gratz Twp. VFW, American Legion Post No. 326 of Millersburg, a life member of Gratz Fire Co., Erdman Sportsman's Club, and Black Forrest Snowmobile Club of Lycoming Co.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean Way.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Kissinger Shade; three sons, Jack E. Shade, Jr., Rodney L. Shade, and Greg S. Shade, all of Gratz; three brothers, Allen Shade of Myerstown, Marlin Shade, Jr. of Elizabethville and Robert Huntsinger of Hegins; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. at the Simeon United Lutheran Church in Gratz. Burial will be in the Gratz Union Cemetery.

Hubert S. Wolfe
HALIFAX - Hubert S. Wolfe, 74, died Friday, Dec. 27 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg.
Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of Isaac and Esther Rachael Diamond Wolfe.
Raised in Lenkerville, he was a 1946 graduate of Millersburg High School.
He was retired from American Can Company and formerly worked for Johnson-Bailee Shoe Company, D & H Distributors and Joslyn, Inc. After retirement, he operated a stand at the Route 15 Flea Market in Lewisburg.
He is survived by his wife, Emma L. Kolva; three sons, Thomas S. Wolfe of Fairfax, Va., Steven D. Wolfe of Quakertown; two daughters, Kathy Wolfe of Halifax and Sharon Tepsick of Ezel, Ky.; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
There will be no services.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 2 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Hoover Funeral Home, Inc. in Elizabethville. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Enders.
Arrangements are being handled by Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc. of Elizabethville.
Anna Mary Lefever
MILLERSBURG - Anna Mary Lefever, 82, of 142 N. Stone Road, formerly of Leola, died Thursday, Dec. 26 at home.
Born in Smithville, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lillian Hess Kreider and the step-daughter of the late Ada Kreider and was the widow of Roy H. Lefever.
She was a homemaker and a member of Stumptown Mennonite Church in Bird-in-Hand.
Surviving are a son, Jay Lefever of Chambersburg; a daughter, Janet Mateer of Elizabethville; a brother, Howard Kreider of New Providence; a sister, Minnie Krantz, also of New Providence; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Elvin Kreider.
Funeral services were held Dec. 28 at her church. Burial was in the adjoining Cemetery.
Mildred Mae Hoffman
MILLERSBURG - Mildred Mae Hoffman, 91, of Susquehanna Lutheran Village, formerly of Spring Glen, died Monday, Dec. 30 at the village.
Born in Porter Twp., she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary Rutter Kocher.
She was a retired seamstress from Valley View Enterprises in Valley View and a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Fearnot, where she was involved in the Pine Hill ladies class and United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Hoffman; and three brothers, Harvey, John and Marlin Kocher.
Surviving are a nephew and two nieces.
Services were held Friday, Jan. 3 at her church. Burial was in the church Cemetery.

Elva J. Deibler
ELIZABETHVILLE - Elva J. Deibler, 78, of Route 225, Washington Twp., died Sunday, Dec. 29 at the Shamokin Area Community General Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Katie Latsha Weaver.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Berrysburg and a past employee of the former Mars Footwear and former Weavers Apparel, both of Elizabethville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Damon D. Deibler.
Surviving are a son, Donald D. Deibler of Washington Twp.; and nieces and nephews.
Services were held Friday, Jan. 3 at her church. Burial was in the church Cemetery.

Donald A. Seneca
PAXTANG - Donald A. Seneca, 62, died Monday, Dec. 30 at Hershey Medical Center.
He was vice president of marketing and chief operating officer of Diversified Traffic Products, Inc., Mercury Electronic Division in York and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
He attended the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Harrisburg and was a member of Lawnton American Legion Post No. 988; and a member and past president of the Mid Atlantic Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
Surviving are his wife, Carole Scheetz Seneca; a daughter, Deborah L. Seneca of Paxtang; a son, Brian D. Seneca of Paxtang; a sister, Donna Justus of Dauphin; and a grandson.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 3 at his church. Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Clair W. Dinger
Harrisburg - Clair W. Dinger, 81, of Dauphin Manor, died Wednesday, Jan. 1 at the manor.
He was a retired pipe fitter for the former Pennsylvania Railroad and Conrail. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Halifax VFW Post No. 5750.
He was the widower of Mary Jane Myers Dinger. Surviving are two sons, Thomas H. of Dillsburg and Steven L. of Lebanon; two daughters, Kathleen A. Bowman of Etters and Sandra K. Fernangle of Franklintown; two brothers, Robert of Tower City and Lamar of Dallas; two sisters, Dory Kinzer of Harrisburg and Nancy Fetterhoff of Tower City; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 6 at the Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Burial was in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
