Paul C. Klinger
Wiconisco - Paul C. Klinger, 79, 1316 Pottsville Street, died Thursday, Jan. 2 at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born in Lykens Dec. 15, 1923, he was the son of the late Paul Sr. and Jennie Keene Klinger and was the widower of Marie Underkoffler Klinger.
He was a retired supervisor carpenter for H.B. Alexander, Local No. 287 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the American Legion; a 50 year member of Carpenters Union No. 287; and a member of the National Rifle Association.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother Frank.
Surviving are two daughters, Shelley M. Yerges of Wellsboro and Paula M. Klinger of Wiconisco; three sons, Dennis J. of Dallastown, Barry P. of Idaho and Stephen K. of Tower City; a sister, Wanda Rodichok of Tower City; seven grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Jan. 6 in the chapel of Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. in Tower City. Burial with full military honors was in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Ray H. Schreffler
MECHANICSBURG - Ray H. Schreffler, 77, died Monday, Dec. 30 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence in Susquehanna Twp.
Born Dec. 18, 1925 in Leck Kill, he was a son of the late Charles and Ada Brosius Schreffler.
He was retired from Buckeye Pipeline and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Fern E. Giles Schreffler; three sons, Duane and David of Carlisle and Darryl of Mechanicsburg; a half brother, Harlen Schreffler of Rebuck; a half sister, Mildred Schreffler of Hegins; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory and a sister, Myrtle Eben.
Graveside services were held Jan. 4 at Rolling Green Memorial Park in Camp Hill.
Memorial contributions may be made to Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, 98 S. Enola Drive, Enola 17025.

Roger A. Rupp
MECHANICSBURG - Roger A. Rupp, 47, of 4184 Cove Court, formerly of Waynesboro, Va., died Sunday, Dec. 29 at his home.
Born Jan. 1, 1955 in Harrisburg, he was the son of Harry J. and Phyllis James Rupp of Calvin.
He was past manager of the Yellow Freight Terminal in Virginia and former chairman of the Virginia Truckers Association and the United Way in Waynesboro, Va.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Harry L. of Calvin; and two sisters, Jane Noblit of Fisherville and Carolyn J. Kissinger of Halifax.
Funeral services were held Jan. 4 at the Reinhard Funeral Home in Millersburg. Burial was in Long's Cemetery in Halifax.
Memorial donations may be made to Cedar Crest-Lucy Furnace Chapel, 106 Pin Oak Lane, Mt. Union 17066.

Betty I. Peters
HARRISBURG - Betty I. Peters, 76, of Lower Paxton Twp., died Monday, Dec. 30 at her home.
Born Sept. 3, 1926 in Millersburg, she was the daughter of the late Newton and Anne Houtz Troutman and was the widow of Glenn Robert Peters.
She was a retired legal assistant from the State Public School Building Authority where she worked for more than 30 years and was a member of St. Thomas United Church of Christ in Linglestown.
Surviving, is a companion Alfred A. Forte; a son, Robert G. of Hummelstown; a daughter, Glenda A. Radel of Duncannon; three brothers, William Troutman of Millersburg, Robert Troutman of Mechanicsburg and Dale Calnon of Lykens; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Troutman.
Funeral services were held Jan. 3 at Zimmerman Auer Funeral Home. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mary Branchick
LYKENS - Mary Branchick, 80, of 224 Market St., died Tuesday, Dec. 31 at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born May 4, 1922 in Lorriane, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Sophia Lazar Fekette and was the widow of John Branchick.
Surviving are a son, Eric B. Clough of Elizabethville; two daughters, Barbara Ann Sweigard of Harrisburg and Geraldine M. Deppen of Elizabethville; a brother, John Fekette of Schuylkill Haven; two sisters, Anna Schoffstall of Kansas and Helen Udit of St. Clair; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Jan. 6 at Calvary United Methodist Cemetery in Wiconisco.
John R. Shultz Funeral Home in Lykens was in charge of arrangements.

Thelma Napp
Sacramento - Thelma Napp, 57, of 2262 East Main St., died Jan. 3 at her home.
Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles Crawford and Gladys Williams of Millersburg.
She was employed at Weis Markets of Millersburg for many years and then became a full time housewife.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Barry; a sister, Althea Grunden of Millersburg; two sons, David Weikel of Sacramento and Michael Weikel of Dalmatia; two daughters, Tanya Napp of Millersburg and Luanne Berridge of Carlisle; 21 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 5:30 p.m. at Reigel's Bible Fellowship Church in Millersburg RD.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Gratz National Bank in Gratz.

Edna V. Cook
Lancaster - Edna V. Cook, 84, of 900 East King Street, died Sunday, Dec. 29 at Conestoga View in Lancaster.
Born in Wiconisco Twp., she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Edna Esterline Rowe.
She was employed as a seamstress, first with Moyers Manufacturing in Ephrata, then with Bobby Rodgers Company in Wiconisco from where she retired in 1970. She was a longtime member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Wiconisco.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Hilbert Rowe and four sisters, Gertrude Adams, Louise Adams, Sadie Geeseman and Lillie Rowe. Surviving are a brother, Aaron Rowe of Lancaster; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Jan. 7 at her church in Wiconisco. Burial was in Calvary Evangelical Church Cemetery in Wiconisco Twp.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association and Related Disorders, South Central Pennsylvania Chapter, 2001 N. Front Street, Building 2, Suite 321, Harrisburg 17102.

Chris M. Recchione Jr.
TOWER CITY - Chris M. Recchione Jr., 72, of 334 E. Martin St., died Saturday, Jan. 4 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
Born in Girardville March 2, 1930, he was the son of the late Chris and Assante Belfatto Recchione.
He was a retired electronics supervisor from Philco-Ford in Lansdale and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the American Legion; and former member of Loyal Order of Moose No. 1603 in Tower City.
He was preceded in death by towo sisters, Verena Probst and Susan Recchione; and two brothers, Richard and William Recchione.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Lillian Lewis Recchione; two sons, Chris M. III of Delaware and Stephen J. of Tower City; three sisters, Norma Romano of Philadelphia, Mary Hopkins of Secane and Gloria Panloski of New Jersey; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 8 in the chapel of Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Viewing will be in the chapel from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Tower City RD.
