Rose T. Haberer
Rose T. Haberer, 84, of Uniontown, Pa., died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, in Laurel Ridge Nursing Center.
She was born Sept. 1, 1916, in Brownsville, Pa., a daughter of the late Michael and Rose Sholtas Barath.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Eugene "Kitty" Haberer; three brothers, John, Michael and Paul Barath; and a sister, Mary Barath.
Surviving is a sister, Jane E. Shaffer and her husband, Asa of Uniontown.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Gary Herring officiating. Private interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Wayne D. Hartman
Wayne D. Hartman, 60, of Fairchance, Pa., died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, in West Virginia University Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born March 26, 1940, in Fairchance, Pa., son of the late Archie Hartman and Elvie Bittinger Hartman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Porter; and a brother, Aire Hartman.
Surviving are his wife, Paula F. Workman Hartman; two children, Wayne D. Hartman Jr., and his wife, Kim of Uniontown, Pa., and Karen J. Workman of Fairchance, Pa; one granddaughter, Cheri Hartman of Uniontown; four sisters, Ruby White of Fairchance, Pa., Gail Turner of Lake Lynn, Pa., Mabel Romesburg and her husband, Calvin of Akron, Ohio, and Freda Stickovich and her husband, Barney of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and two brothers, Melvin Hartman and his wife, Linda of Aliquippa, Pa., and Blaine Hartman and his wife, Dolores of Fairchance, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church St., Fairchance, Pa., on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will follow. Interment will be private.
Elizabeth Holland
Elizabeth Cole Holland, 90, of Mount Braddock, Pa., died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at home.
She was born Jan. 15, 1910, in Mount Braddock, daughter of the late Samuel and Catherine Andree Cole.
She was a homemaker, a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Moose Post 228 of Uniontown, VFW Post 47 of Uniontown, and VFW Home Post, Chicago, Ill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Holland on June 2, 1986; a son, Harold Holland; three brothers, Samuel, Harry and Charles Cole; four sisters, Rose Anna Cooke, Alice Dobis, Blanche Cole and Edith Cole; and seven grandchildren.
Surviving are five sons, Earl of Mount Braddock, Robert and Harry, both of Dunbar, Benjamin of West Leisenring, and James of New Cumberland, Ohio; seven daughters, Ruth Hair of Dunbar, Janet Norris of Mount Braddock; Catherine, at home, Fern Rush of Glengary, W.Va., Barbara Marreno of Lorain, Ohio, Alice Conn of New Cumberland, Ohio, and Mary Ann Fenillo of Elyria, Ohio; four sisters, Edna Stimmel of Mercer, Pa., Roberta Franks of West Salem, Ohio, Elsie Hager of Brownsville, and Catherine Hickman of Grindstone; four grandchildren, whom she raised, Joyce, Patty, Elizabeth and Lisa; 62 grandchildren; 104 great-grandchildren; 25 great great-grandchildren and 15 great great great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar, on Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Monday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Jeffrey Popson officiating. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.
Ronald W. Holma
Ronald W. Holma, 59, of West Brownsville, Pa., died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000.
He was born July 27, 1941, in Coal Center, Pa., son of the late David J. and Wilma Sethman Holma.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Johnson, in 1988.
He was an employee of Marsolino Construction Company for the past 33 years, and he was also a member of the following organizations, California Hill Gun Club, Brownsville Eagles, Bridgeport Young Men’s Club, and a social member of the West Brownsville American Legion Post 940.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Gloria Eastwood Holma; a son, Ronald "Smokey" Eastwood and daughter-in-law, Donna; grandchildren, Jason and Sammy Jo Eastwood of West Brownsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Maxine Holma of Columbiana, Ohio, and David and Carol Holma of Charleroi; and a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Bob Vanansky, also of Charleroi.
Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth St., California, Pa., on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Barry Mohney officiating. Interment will follow in Phillipsburg Cemetery.
Gloria M. Lemon
Gloria Mae (Arnette) Lemon, 74, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000.
She was born Aug. 31, 1926, in Vanderbilt, Pa., daughter of the late Noble Samuel and Grace Mae Arnette.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Lemon; her second husband, Thomas Taylor; and two brothers, Lewis Ellis Arnette and Charles Noble Arnette.
She is survived by her daughter, Myrna Gail Lemon of Hiller, Pa.; three grandchildren, Shannon Lemon Johnson, George Lemon and Nia Lemon and one great-grandson, Shandon Noble Lemon, all of Hiller, Pa.; four nieces, Janet Arnette Pina and Phyllis Ann Arnette, both of Philadelphia, Cynthia Ingrahm of Roanoke, Va., and Margaret Scott of Brownsville, Pa.; one nephew, Lewis Arnette Jr., of Washington D.C.; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the LAW FUNERAL HOME, 135 Angle St., Brownsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, in St. Paul’s Church of Vanderbilt, with the Rev. Owen D. Anderson officiating. Eastern Star Pride of the Valley, Chapter 70, O.E.S.P.H.A., will hold a service today at 7 p.m., in the funeral home.
Anna M. Mong
Anna M. Mong, 72, of Uniontown, Pa., died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, in the Beverly Health Care Center.
She was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Perryopolis, Pa., a daughter of the late Louis and Helen Simko Sherrock.
Also preceding her in death were her first husband, Anthony E. Isola and her second husband, James Edwin Mong.
Surviving are two children: a daughter, Toni Isola Levin and her husband, John Levin of Mahopac, N.Y., a son, Timothy James Mong Sr., and his wife, Christine of Uniontown; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Louis Sherrock Jr., and his wife, Lucy of Las Cruces, N.M., and John Sherrock and his wife, Carol of Mesa, Ariz.
Mrs. Mong was a former employee of Karts, Hills Department Store and The New Bridal Boutique.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday until 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 9:30 a.m., in St. Therese R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. Pete O’Connor as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Rita Cemetery, Connellsville.
Ivan G. Sisler
Ivan G. Sisler, 85, of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born Dec. 27, 1914, in Hazelton, W.Va., the son of the late Martin and Mamie Maust Sisler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Raplee Sisler on Dec. 16, 1999; two grandsons, Michael Sisler and Robert Haught; four brothers, Russell, Houston, Hubert and Darrell; and a sister, Betty Sisler.
He is survived by six children, Bonnie Harris and her husband, Larry of Akron, Ohio, and Marilyn Kay Shumar and her husband, James of Tulsa, Okla., Mayme Faust and her husband, John of Streetsboro, Ohio, Richard Sisler and his wife, Debbie of Miamiburg, Ohio, Michael Sisler and his wife, Sherra of Owosso, Okla., and Christy Guess and her husband, Rick of Hopwood; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nellie Casteel of Markleysburg.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from noon until 1 p.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Robert L. Wrachford officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Hopwood.
Helen V. Steele
Helen Virginia Steele, 93, of Uniontown, Pa., formerly of Bethel Park, Pa., died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born Sept. 5, 1907, in Helen, Pa., a daughter of the late James and Margaret Hotchkiss Steele.
Also preceding her in death were two brothers and five sisters.
Surviving are two nephews, John "Jack" Morrow and his wife, June and William C. Morrow and his wife, Kitty; and a niece, Bettie Harvey, all of Uniontown.
Miss Steele was a Registered Nurse, formerly employed at Northeastern Hospital for 35 years, and she graduated from the Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church, Uniontown.
A committal service will be held on Monday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m., at Sylvan Heights Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown.
Paul D. Tarcy Sr.
Paul David Tarcy Sr., 56, of Smithfield, Pa., died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born Sept. 10, 1944, in Weston, Ontario, Canada, son of the late Rev. Paul Tarcy and Edith Irene Chester Tarcy.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Jo Clark Tarcy; two children, Paul David Tarcy Jr., and Phillip C. Tarcy and his wife, Christine of Smithfield, Pa.; two grandchildren, Hannah Marie Tarcy and Luke Garron Tarcy; and two sisters, Sylvia Bastin of Athens, Ohio, and Edith Crow and her husband, Alvin of Smithfield, Pa.
Dave was a graduate of Albert Gallatin, Class of 1962. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and the Paul Tarcy Sunday School Class.

Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Music Committee.
Peter M. Bukovac
Peter M. Bukovac, 92, of Leisenring, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, in Highlands Hospital.
He was born Nov. 5, 1908, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., a son of the late Maximillan and Teresa Bukovac.
He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville.
He was retired from PennDOT, where he was employed as a highway inspector for several years. He was also formerly employed as a coal miner with H. C. Frick Mines for many years.
He was a social member of the Polish Club, and a regular member of the Independent Slovak Citizens Club, both of Connellsville.
Surviving are his wife, Angeline Kekic Bukovac; a son, Edward Bukovac and his wife, Penny of Dunbar; a daughter, Evelyn Corley of Alexander, Va.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Marovich of Hopwood.
In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First St., West Side, Connellsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in St. John’s Evangelist R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. John Butler as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 3:30 p.m., today in the funeral home.
