Wallace McCleary, 91, of West Brownsville, Pa., died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, in Brownsville General Hospital.
He was born Aug. 23, 1909, in West Brownsville, Pa., son of the late Zach and Ann Elder McCleary.
He was a member of Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church of Brownsville, Pa.
He was employed for many years by Ford Automobile Dealerships in the area, and retired from the Monongahela Ford Company, in Monongahela, Pa., in 1994.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served in World War II in Europe.
Surviving are a niece, Judith Riggs Lamb of Newport, Pa., and a nephew, James W. Riggs of Blain, Pa.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. David Clark officiating. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Burd Presbyterian Church, Simpson Road, Brownsville, Pa.
Wilbert I. Rice
Wilbert Irving Rice, 79, of Rockville, Md., and formerly of Point Marion, Pa., died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, in Brownsville General Hospital.
He was born in Point Marion, on Feb. 17, 1922, a son of the late Irving E. and Erma L. Jennart Rice Jr.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Point Marion, a 1940 graduate of Point Marion High School, and attended Washington and Jefferson College, in Washington, Pa.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and later worked as a shift foreman at Houze Glass in Point Marion. He retired from the Montgomery County Police Department in Rockville, on Dec. 30, 1978.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Dessie Willis Rice, whom he married on Nov. 7, 1941; two daughters, Karen Seiberlich of Venice, Fla., and Rhonda Rice of Laurel, Md.; a grandson, Erik Seiberlich of Charlotte, N.C.; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Warren M. Rice on May 31, 1999.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday until 1 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Mike Oldham officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date in the Little Arlington Section of Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
Robert "Bob" Snyder
Robert "Bob" Snyder, 87, of South Connellsville died Wednesday at Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
He is survived by a son, Robert M. Snyder of Champion; two grandsons; five brothers, George Snyder of Dunbar, Richard Snyder of Bradenton, Fla., Charles "Bud" Snyder of Scottdale and Jack and Donald "Dean" Snyder both of South Connellsville and a sister, Mrs. Marvin (Phyllis Haggerty) Barton of Bradenton, Fla.
Friends will be received at Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, today from 9 to 11 a.m.
Charles W. Tedrow Jr.
Charles W. Tedrow Jr., 22, of Smock, Pa., died Tuesday, June 5, 2001.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Shelly Tedrow Sr., of Smock, Pa.; two sisters, Lori A. Vernon of Ralph, Pa., and Tracy L. Lindsay of Fayetteville, N.C.; his paternal grandmother, Betty Tedrow of Smock, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 680 Cherry Tree Lane, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Peton officiating. Interment will be in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery.
Rebecca White
Rebecca White, 86, of McClellandtown, Pa., and formerly of Mulligan Manor, Brownsville, Pa., died Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Sumey Personal Care Home.
She was born Oct. 21, 1914, in Virginia.
Rebecca is the last survivor of her family.
Surviving are close friends, Georgette Mitchell and Cindy Sumey, and others who befriended her throughout her stay in the personal care homes and residences.

Dorothy A. Balling of San Antonio, Texas, died Thursday, December 13, 2001.
She was a former resident of Uniontown, Pa., and was the widow of Frederick J. Balling.

Marvin Leroy Bittinger, 56, of Bobtown, Pa., died Wednesday, December 12, 2001, at his home.
He was born in Bobtown, Pa., May 30, 1945, son of Helen Jones Bittinger and the late Ervin S. Bittinger Jr.
He was a member of Mount Pleasant Dixie United Methodist Church, Dilliner, Pa., and the Rod & Gun Club, Bobtown, Pa.
He was a former Coal Miner and a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 6159.
In addition to his mother he is survived by one sister, Linda and her husband, Steve Wolfe, Washington, Pa.; two brothers: Ervin Bittinger III, Bradenton, Florida, and Robert Bittinger and his wife, Linda, Painesville, Ohio; three nieces: Amy Wolfe Putila and husband, Matthew Putila, Bethel Park, Pa., Stacy Wolfe, Carnegie, Pa., and Darla Duane, Andover, Ohio; six nephews: Ervin Bittinger IV, Andover, Ohio, Eric Bittinger, Bradenton, Florida, Robert Bittinger, Paines-ville, Ohio, Matthew Bittinger and Rebecca, Painesville, Ohio, Jason Bittinger and Katie, Columbus, Ohio, and Dereck Bittinger, Painesville, Ohio; also several aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 15, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. William L. Parker officiating.

Joseph R. Gajan Sr.
Joseph Richard Gajan Sr., 87, of Wood River, Illinois, retired 30-year Coal Miner from Pittsburgh Coal and Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation, also a Diesel Mechanic and a Bus Driver for 30 years, who was born in Sawyersville, Pa., died Tuesday, December 11, 2001, at 2:05 p.m. in VIP Manor Nursing Home, Wood River, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Etta Anderson Gajan, whom he married May 27, 1944, in Oakland, Maryland; children: Joanne Gajan Lawrence and her husband, Terry Lawrence, of Edwardsville, Illinois, Linda Gajan Stull and husband, John Stull, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Richard and Rosemary Gajan of Palm Harbor, Florida, Harry and Jennifer Gajan of Lyons, New York, Thomas and Carolyn Gajan of Charleroi, Pa., Joseph and Carol Gajan of Coal Center, Pa., Michael and Rosemary Gajan of Stafford, Florida; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and a brother, Andrew Gajan of Cleveland, Ohio.
There was no visitation.

Karen Sue Schwartz Jakubek Janssens
Karen Sue Schwartz Jakubek Janssens, 57, of Dorothy Street, Scottdale, Pa., who had also lived in Knoxville, Iowa, died Wednesday evening, December 12, 2001, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, Pa.
She is survived by her father, Robert G. Schwartz of Scottdale, Pa.; her husband, Fernal "Jim" Janssens, whom she married February 28, 1987; brothers and sisters: Robert G. Schwartz Jr. of Selingsgove, Pa., Larry Schwartz and his wife, Patty, of Scottdale, Pa., Greg Schwartz of Canonsburg, Pa., Timothy Schwartz and his wife, Alex, and Rita Schwartz Corley all of Scottdale, Pa., and Margo Schwartz of Pittsburgh, Pa.; nieces and nephews.

George Radovich
George Radovich, 74, of Carmichaels, Pa., and formerly of College Park, Maryland, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 11, 2001, at his home.
He was born May 6, 1927, in Masontown, Pa., a son of Eli Radovich and Katie Basara Radovich.
Mr. Radovich was a graduate of Masontown High School and served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels.
He first worked as a Policeman in the District of Columbia, then as a White House Secret Service Agent. Later he owned and operated Radco Realty Inc. in Silver Spring, Maryland, for many years.
Mr. Radovich was a Master Mason in Maryland.
Three brothers, Milan, Stanley and Steve, four sisters, Mary Radovich, Emily Ann Andish, Dolores Radovich, Mildred Applebaum, and his parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are three daughters: Dolores P. "Dee" Radovich and Dorothy A. "Dotty" Beverley both of Rockville, Maryland, and Elizabeth C. "Libby" Usilaner of Bethesda, Maryland; three grandchildren: Nikki Friday, Josh Beverley and Leigh-Ann Beverley; a brother, Edward Radovich of Silver Spring, Maryland; four sisters: Rose Zorich of Carmichaels, Pa., Ann Kaprive of Masontown, Pa., Libby Kumper of Gibsonia, Pa., and Dorothy Senko of Ambridge, Pa.; also several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels, Pa., today from 6 to 9 p.m.
Family and Friends are asked to meet at 11 a.m. for Funeral Services on Saturday, December 15, at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Old Route 21, Carmichaels, Pa. The Rev. Rodney Torbic will officiate.
Interment will follow in St. George Serbian Orthodox Church Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by Cumberland American Legion Post 400.
Pomen Service will be held in the Funeral Home today at 7 p.m.
James E. Sheranko
James E. Sheranko, 87, of Euclid, Ohio, died Saturday, December 8, 2001, in Lake West Hospital, Willoughby, Ohio.
He was born May 6, 1914, in Footedale, Fayette County, Pa., son of Steve Sheranko and Elizebeth Balog Sheranko.
James retired from the Maintenance Department of Curtis Industries in Eastlake, Ohio.
His first wife, Kathryn Sheranko, his second wife, Meryl Densmore Fletcher Sheranko, and his parents preceded him in death.
He was the beloved brother of Stephen Sheranko, Albert Sheranko, Samuel Sheranko, and Ella Sims; stepfather of Jean Robertson, Sandra Mitchell, Wanda Dreibelbis, the Rev. Ronald Fletcher and Garry Fletcher; and step-grandfather of 17.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be held at graveside on Monday, December 17, at 2 p.m. in All Souls Cemetery (Section 32), Chardon Township, Ohio.
