William Theodore Niel
William Theodore Niel, 96, of Dickerson Run, Pa., died Friday, February 25, 2000, in Eicher's Family Home, Normalville.
He was born September 30, 1903, in Bell Township, Clearfield County, Pa., son of Charles E. Niel and Mabel Dasher Niel Hess.
He was an engineer for the P&LE Railroad and retired in 1971 after 51 years of service.
He was very active in the Old Time Fiddlers Association and was a member of Vanderbilt Church of Christ.
His wife, Della Ghrist Niel, two sons, Charles Emerson Niel Jr. and William Thomas Niel, two half brothers, Stanely Hess and Leslie Hess, and his parents are deceased.
He is survived by two grandchildren: Charles Emerson Niel III and Marjorie Mae Niel; five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law: Mary Lee Niel of Dickerson Run and Beverly S. Niel of Lareen, Arizona; one half brother, William Hess and his wife, Marjorie, of New Millport, Pa.; two half sisters: Evelyn Clapsaddle of Mahaffey, Pa., and Virginia Weisgarber of Grampian, Pa.
Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green St., Connellsville, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home Monday, February 28, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Barchey officiating.
Interment will follow in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery.
Fiero L. Organt
Fiero L. ``Skip'' Organt, 84, of Masontown, Pa., died Thursday, February 24, 2000, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg, Pa.
He was born February 19, 1916, in Puritan, Pa., a son of Ercoli Organt and Angela Fortuna Organt.
Mr. Organt was a retired machinist formerly employed with United States Steel Corporation for 29 years.
He was a graduate of the former Masontown High School Class of 1934.
Skip was a veteran of World War II who served in the United States Army at the rank of Corporal.
He was a member of B.P.O. Elks 370, Italo-American Citizens Club, and Fort Mason American Legion Post 423.
His wife, Jessie Piccolomini Organt, brothers, Marino and Daniel Organt, sisters, Laura Organt and Dora Bizub, and his parents are deceased.
Surviving are three children: Rodney Organt of Salt Lake City, Utah, Denise Robbins and her husband, Thomas, of Greensboro, Pa., and Darlene Vicinelly and her husband, Walter, of Masontown, Pa.; four grandchildren: Tony Vicinelly, Michael Vicinelly, Tom Robbins and Cheri Robbins; a sister, Alda Johnson of Tampa, Florida; a brother, Morgan Organt of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 515 North Main St., Masontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, February 28, until 10 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fr. James F. Bump officiating.
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa., where military honors will be accorded by Faith-Gray-McArdle V.F.W. Post 4584.
PNSN Joseph V. Persely Jr.
PNSN Joseph V. Persely Jr., 22, United States Navy, died suddenly on Friday, February 25, 2000, in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born June 11, 1977, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Joseph V. Persely and Diana Biller Persely of McClellandtown, Pa.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Jennifer Persely at home; paternal grandparents, Victor and Helen Persely, and maternal grandfather, Rudolph Biller, all of McClellandtown, Pa.; and these aunts and uncles: Judy and Kenny Biller, Duane and Linda Biller, and Bernell and Jeannette Barnhart.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mildred Biller, and his uncle, Greg Biller.
Personnelman Seaman Persely was currently stationed aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt. He touched many lives in customer relations and will be sadly missed by his shipmates and co-workers.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., this evening from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, February 29, until 11 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11:30 a.m. in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, Pa., with Rev. Fr. James F. Bump as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa., where Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Navy Reserves.
The United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps Reserves of North Versailles, Pa., will stand as Honor Guard at the Funeral Home.
Elizabeth Ann Garcher Sabolcik
Elizabeth Ann Garcher Sabolcik, 85, of McKeesport, Pa., died Thursday, February 24, 2000.
She was born October 26, 1914, in Smock, Pa., daughter of John Garcher and Sophie Olear Garcher.
Her husband, Joseph Sabolcik, died January 8, 1966. Also deceased are a daughter, Geraldine Sabolcik, and her parents.
Survivors include her children: Judith Sabolcik, Ronald Sabolcik and Dennis Sabolcik; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy Warchol, Ethel Simcosky, Marcella Dvorchak and Patricia Kilgore; brothers: John Garcher and Joseph Garcher; nieces and nephews.

Harold L. ``Mike'' Sager, 83, of Perryopolis, Pa., died Friday, February 25, 2000, at 12:45 a.m. in HCR Manor Care, Bethel Park, Pa.

Karl K. ``Kutcy'' Sauritch, 70, a lifelong resident of Charleroi, Pa., died Thursday, February 24, 2000, in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Green Sauritch; children: Mark Sauritch and wife, Patti, of Ivyland, Pa., Tim-Bo Sauritch of Fairless Hills, Pa., Kurt Sauritch of Monessen, Pa., Carla Sauritch Withem of Los Angeles, Calif., and Susan Sauritch of Charleroi; grandson, Drew Sauritch; sister, Emma Sauritch Biagini of Charleroi; and brother, Raymond Sauritch of Cleveland, Ohio.

Hazel B. Simpson
Hazel B. Cumberledge Simpson, 76, of 272 1/2 South Washington Street, Waynesburg, Pa., died Thursday, February 24, 2000, at 11:40 p.m. at home following a short illness.
She was born May 7, 1923, in Wana, West Virginia, daughter of Ned Cumberledge and Kitty Opal (Cumberledge) Cumberledge.
Mrs. Simpson was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church in Waynesburg where she was a member of the John Wesley Sunday School Class.
She was a volunteer for the Washington City Missions for several years.
Mrs. Simpson retired in 1986 from the Curry Memorial Home where she worked as a seamstress and worked in the laundry.
She was also a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting.
Her husband, Samuel Clarke Simpson Sr., whom she married November 22, 1945, died January 8, 1973. Also deceased are a sister, Mary Hoge, and her parents.
Surviving are five daughters: Patricia Hougland and Sandra Morris both of Waynesburg, Pa., Sharon Knisely of Carmichaels R.D.1, Pa., Karen Bosworth and Robin Rose both of Waynesburg, Pa.; two sons: Samuel Clarke Simpson Jr. and John Robert Simpson both of Waynesburg, Pa.; 10 grandchildren: Michelle Blosser, Christine Owens, Chuck Booth, Emily Morris, Amy Morris, Michael Nicole Morris, Deidre Simpson, Robert Clarke Simpson, Rebecca Simpson, Michael Rose; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Nell Fox of Fairview, West Virginia, and Blanche Stickles of Zelienople, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.

James R. ``Bob'' Aston, 76, of Ruffsdale, Pa., a former member of the ``Keystones'' Band, died Friday, April 7, 2000, in Fay-West Health System's Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve Peck Aston; daughter, Beverly and husband, Joseph Furin, of Tarrs, Pa.; stepdaughter, Donna Kern and husband, Terry, of Somerset, Pa.; granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Furin at home; stepgrandchildren: Tara Kern and Brent Kern; sister, Emma Katherine Aston Sickenberger of Greensburg, Pa.; special niece, Kathy Roberts and husband, Sam, and their children, Timothy Roberts and Sherry Roberts, of Ruffsale; and several other nieces and nephews.

Thomas C. Buckley
Thomas C. Buckley, 57, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, April 7, 2000, in his home.
He was born August 12, 1942, in Uniontown, Pa., to the now late Thomas R. Buckley and Dorothy Williams Buckley.
Mr. Buckley served in the United States Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Later he became a realtor and started Buckley Real Estate.
He was a member of Great Bethel Baptist Church, Laurel Lodge No. 651 F.&A.M., Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, and Pittsburgh Consistory.
He is survived by two sons: Kevin A. Buckley and wife, Christine, of Uniontown, Pa., and Brent S. Buckley of New York City, New York; a daughter, Kelly Gilmore of Baltimore, Maryland; six grandchildren: Kirsty, Lauren, Christina, Kyler, Kolt and Kolin; a brother, Gary Buckley and wife, Eileen, of Augusta, Michigan; and a sister, Beverly Hagerty and husband, Larry, of Uniontown.
