Clara M. Skompski Mihalsky, 73, of Footedale, Pa., passed away Monday, February 28, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born August 14, 1926, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Joseph Skompski and Victoria Kusiak Skompski.
She was a member of Saint Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Footedale.
Her husband, Edward J. Mihalsky, a granddaughter, Terri Jo Tassone, these sisters and brother, Theresa Skompski, Donna Skompski, Deatra Fronczek and Edward Mihalsky, and her parents are deceased.
She is survived by four sons: Carmel Tassone Jr. of Millville, New Jersey, Edward Mihalsky Jr., Walter Mihalsky and David Mihalsky and his wife, Robin, all of Footedale, Pa.; five grandchildren: Angela Strope, Carmel Tassone III, Tiffany Brooks, David Mihalsky and Alyssa Beth Mihalsky; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Strope; these sisters and brother: Helen Poarch of Elkton, Maryland, Mrs. Rudolph (Gertrude) Bilko of Filbert, Pa., Eleanor Freeman and Monica Gutowski both of Bridgeton, New Jersey, Mrs. Raymond (Christine) Jacobson of Filbert, and Eugene Skompski of Uniontown, Pa.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 2, at 12 Noon in Saint Thomas R.C. Church, Footedale, with Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Thomas Church Cemetery.
A Parish Wake Service will be held Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.

Alice E. Miller, 85, of Donegal died Sunday in Latrobe Area Hospital.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Diane) Gales of Melcroft; two grandsons; and two brothers, James Beagle of Massachusetts, and Max Beagle of Florida.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Melcroft.

Kathryn G. Miller, 98, of South Connellsville died Saturday in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
She is survived by four sisters, Wilda Geary of Florida, Mrs. Jesse W. (Mildred) Eicher of Connellsville, Louise Holland of Baltimore, Md., and Thelma Gallentine of South Connellsville; and several neices and nephews.
Friends will be received at theBrooks Funeral Home, Connellsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. until 11 a.m. Wednesday.
John Huston Paull
John Huston ``Jack'' Paull, 72, of Frankfort, Ind., formerly of Euclid, Ohio, who was born in High House, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn June Summers Paull; sons: Harry J. Paull of Montville, Ohio, and Charles E. Paull of Euclid, Ohio; sisters: Virginia Paull Druash, Lois Paull Hiles, Ruth Paull Baughman and Norma Paull Smith, all of Uniontown; Vivivan Paull Spiker of Gibbon Glade; Deanna Paull Glover of Kasota, Minn., and Donna Paull Miller of Virginia Beach, Va.; and four grandchildren.

Patrick P. Reilly, 64, a lifelong resident of Connellsville, died Sunday, Feb.27, 2000, at home.
He is survived by three cousins: Martin J. Rottler and wife, Mary Lou, of Greensburg, James M. Rottler and wife, Diane, of Voorhees, N.J., and Virginia (Shank) DeBolt of Charlotte Hall, Md.

Sally Jean Garletts Smiley, 61, of Dunbar, Pa., died Friday, February 25, 2000, in Fay-West Health System's Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
She was born June 11, 1938, in Dunbar, Pa., daughter of Wilbur Garletts and Evelyn Jolliffe Garletts.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pechin Chapel.
A daughter, Michelle L. Smiley, a son, Mark D. Smiley, brothers, George and Richard Garletts, and her parents are deceased.
She is survived by children: Ronald K. Smiley and wife, Janice, of Hopwood, Pa., Charles L. Smiley Jr. of Dunbar, Larry K. Smiley of Connellsville, Pa., Kimberly S. McDonough and husband, David, of Dunbar; grandchildren: Christopher R. Turek and Sydney N. McDonough; brothers: Ronald, Wilbert, Gary, and Keith Garletts; sisters: Hilda Garletts, Sandy Rutter, and Donna Cole; nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 1, until 11 a.m., the hour of service . with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
Visitation was also held Monday from 6 to 9 p.m.
Lucille Basile Zayak
Lucille M. Basile Zayak, 80, of LaBelle, Pa., died Saturday, Feburary 26, 2000, at home.
She was born September 28, 1919, in Delmont, West Virginia, daughter of Pete Basile and Fannie Marcuri Basile.
She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church in LaBelle, Saint Anne's Guild and the LaBelle Senior Citizens' organization. She had been a Committee Woman for District 6 for 40 years, was a Notary Public, and served as a member of the Election Board for District 6, LaBelle, Pa.
Her husband, Rudolph Zayak, brothers, Paul ``Pete'' Basile and Samuel Basile Sr., a sister, Alma ``Zoe'' Basile, and her parents are deceased.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Zayak, and a son, John Zayak and his wife, Barbara, all of LaBelle, Pa.; grandsons: Paul Zayak, Robert Zayak, and Nicholas Zayak; great-grandson, Dylan Zayak; brothers: Dominick Basile, Matthew Basile, and John Basile and his wife, Norma, all of LaBelle, Pa.; and a sister, Frances and her husband, Gene Malinzak, of Pico Rivera, California.
Friends were received Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. and will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
A Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 1, at 10:15 a.m. A Funeral Mass follows at 11 a.m. in St. James R.C. Church, LaBelle, with Rev. Fr. James Petrovsky as Celebrant. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

John Robert Benucci, 26, of Thompson One, Pa., passed away Sunday, April 16, 2000, in Brownsville General Hospital. He was born September 26, 1973, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Robert L. Benucci and Irene Stoken Benucci. He was predeceased by an infant brother, Bernard John Benucci. In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters: Jacquelyn Benucci of Searights, Pa., and Kathleen Benucci at home; his maternal grandfather, Joseph A. Stoken of Adah, Pa.; a special niece and nephew: Chelsea Benucci and Brandyn Bane both of Searights; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Claire M. Brilhart, 89, of Scottdale died Sunday, in Scottdale Manor Rehabilitation Center, Scottdale. She is survived by three sons, Richard, Jim and John Brilhart all of Scottdale; one daughter, Maureen Strevels of Scottdale; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Al (Ruth) Genelli of Uniontown and Mrs. Charles (Mrytle) Henderson of Euclid, Ohio. Helen K. (Kelly) DeFigio, 88, of Penncraft, Pa., passed away Sunday, April 16, 2000, in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown, Pa. She was born June 1, 1911, in New Kensington, Pa., daughter of George Kelly and Pauline Okun Kelly. She was a member of St. Ellien's Orthodox Church in Brownsville, a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Education Degree, and a retired teacher from the former Redstone School District with 37 years of service. Her husband, Alfred A. DeFigio, died in 1963. Also deceased are a son, Alfred DeFigio III, and her parents. Surviving are a son, Michael DeFigio of Penncraft; grandchildren: Michael DeFigio and Marcy DeFigio; sisters: Elizabeth Sahady of Republic, Pa., and Pearl Dennis of Culpepper, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Raymond G. Hribal, 72, of Mount Pleasant, died Saturday in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. He is survived by two brothers, Gilbert Hribal of Latrobe and Roland Hribal of Mount Pleasant and four sisters, Charlotte Hribal, Mrs. John (Nancy) Srogoncik, Bibiani Hribal and Mrs. Donald (Laverne) Kuhn, all of Mount Pleasant. Arrangements were under the direction of Luther J. Grimm Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant.
Wilbur G. Lowdermilk Sr.
Wilbur G. Lowdermilk Sr., 80, of 962 Frazee Ridge Road, Friendsville, Maryland, died Monday, April 17, 2000, at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. Born December 11, 1919, in Selbysport, Maryland, he was a son of Jefferson Lowdermilk and Hannah Meyers Lowdermilk. Mr. Lowdermilk was a member of Asher Glade Church of The Brethren. He was owner and operator of Lowdermilk Trucking Company. He was a past president of Farmers Wildlife Association of Asher Glade and was a past member of the Board of Directors of Liberty Trust Company (now Keystone Financial). He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. His wife, Beulah Umbel Lowdermilk, died March 27, 1984. His parents are also deceased. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors include one son, Wilbur G. Lowdermilk Jr., Friendsville, Maryland; two daughters: Shirley A. Rusnack, Connellsville, Pa., and Vonda J. Bryner, Friendsville, Maryland; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the NEWMAN FUNERAL HOMES, P.A., 943 Second Avenue, Friendsville, Maryland, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Thursday, April 20, at 11 a.m. in Asher Glade Church of The Brethren with the Rev. Samuel Moon officiating. Interment will be in Sand Spring Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by the area's veterans' service organizations. Ann J. Horchar Mains, 76, of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at her home. She was born February 27, 1924, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., daughter of John Horchar and Martha Fecek Horchar. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Horchar and Joseph Horchar, two sisters, Mary Jean Cunningham and Helen Klink, and her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Enoch W. Mains Jr.; three children: Lolita "Cookie" Braddee of Uniontown, Pa., Enoch W. Mains III and his wife, Linda, of Hopwood, Pa., and Richard L. Mains of Amend, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Susan, Mark, Eric, Traci, Enoch IV "Butchie", Brandon, Chad; nine great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
