Evelyn Blackstone
Evelyn Blackstone, 64, of Normalville died Sunday in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant.
She is survived by two brothers, Wilbert W. Blackstone of Uniontown and Richard L. "Blackie" Blackstone of Connellsville and two sisters, Wilma Blackstone Shupe and Rita M. Blackstone Grimm both of Connellsville.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Vito C. Martucci Funeral Home, 123 S. First St., West Side, Connellsville.
At the request of the immediate family, there will be no public visitation.
Shirley Jo Ann Colbert
Shirley Jo Ann (Heinbaugh) Colbert, loving wife and mother, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, August 14, 2000, in Beverly HealthCare Center.
She was born August 25, 1931, in Rockwood, Pa., the daughter of Amos B. Heinbaugh and Ostie M. Vough Heinbaugh.
Shirley attended Rockwood High School and graduated from Waynesburg High School.
She was a homemaker, a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Johanna Circle, North Union V.F.W. Post 8543 Auxiliary, Uniontown American Legion Post 51 Auxiliary, AMVETS Post 88 in Greensburg, Pa., and was formerly with AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale W. Heinbaugh, sister, Althea E. Heinbaugh, and her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Harold W. Colbert; her son, Kim W. Colbert and his fiancÈe, Joan Grimm, and daughter, Sarah; her daughter, Sue Ellen Martin and husband, Mark; stepdaughters: Christine Bazylak and husband, Brian, and Celena Martin and Jason; one sister, Betty J. Hall and Sam; a special niece, Gayle Dillinger; great-niece, Amy; great-nephew, Greg; extended family and many dear friends.
Shirley was a caring, devoted wife, mother and sister. She will be sadly missed by her family.
Friends will be received in the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa. today at 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. H. Melvin Shultz officiating. The American Legion Auxiliary of Post 51 will hold services at 7 p.m. VFW Post 8543 Auxiliary will hold services at 7:30 p.m.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
Boyd W. Davis
Boyd William Davis, 79, of Harrisburg and formerly of Clarksville, Pa., died Monday,
August 14, 2000 in the Holy Spirit Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was a retired coal miner with Gateway Coal Mining Company in Greene County.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Frances Davis; daughters, Mrs. Betty L. Cobb, Mrs. Gloria J. Butts, and Mrs. Mary E. Smith, all of Harrisburg, and Ms. Vickie L. Davis of Pittsburgh; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19 at the First Baptist Church, Clarksville and on Saturday at 1 p.m., the hour of service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Winfield Funeral Home in Steelton.
Helen N. DuFour
Helen N. DuFour passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2000.
She was the beloved mother of Diane DuFour-Guadio of Beaver, Pa., William DuFour of Long Beach, Calif., Gary DuFour of Steubenville, Ohio, Gregory Dufour of Pittsburgh and Danice Bress of Irwin, Pa.; grandmother of four; sister of Elaine Nesser and the late Naomi McGarvey, Eleanore J. Morrison, Malcolm Nesser, James J. Nesser Jr. and Elizabeth N. John. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Helen was a noted businesswoman and active in many civic and religious organizations.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Paul Cathedral, Pittsburgh at 11 a.m.

John M. Ferris
John M. (Jack) Ferris, 62, of Washington, Pa. died Sunday, August 13, 2000 in the Washington Hospital.
Surviving is one son Jay Ferris from Florida; one brother, Joseph Edward Ferris of Amity, Pa.
There was a private visitation and service at the Greenlee Funeral Hospital, 2830 Main St., Beallsville on Tuesday, August 16.
William Flannigan Jr.
William E. Flannigan Jr., 74, of Mount Pleasant died Monday in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant.
He is survived by his wife, Irene E. Pytlak Flannigan; one daughter, Anna M. Garris of Norvelt; one grandson; and seven sisters, Evelyn Koskee of Mount Pleasant, Ramona Chenoweth of Carlisle, Mrs. Sam (Joan) Testa of Greensburg, Mrs. Matthew (Connie) Coppola of Pittsburgh, Mrs. James (Margaret) Barron of Scottdale, Mrs. Charles (Catherine) Lint of Mount Pleasant, and Mrs. Paul (Mary Jane) Wolfe of Greensburg.
Friends will be received at the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until noon on Friday.
Thelma Faye Harvey
Thelma Faye Harvey, 77, of Dilliner, Pa., and formerly of Lake Lynn, Blosser Hill, Pa., died Saturday, August 12, 2000 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born July 10, 1923 at Laurel Point, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Wade and Nelia Fletcher Lewis.
She was self-employed as a decorator and upholsterer, a designer of furniture; and until her retirement, a builder of homes.
She is survived by her husband, James Grant Harvey; a son, Terry James Harvey of Morgantown; a daughter, Patricia "Patty" Harvey of McClellandtown, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruby Halfin of Minnomonie, Wis., and Marie Lucyk of Dilliner.
She was predeceased by a daughter in infancy, Billie Faye Harvey; and two brothers, William and Frank Lewis.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Smith officiating.
Private interment in Wolf's Cemetery, Dilliner.
Walter Lawson
Walter Lawson, 55, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000 in Shady Side Hospital.
Surviving are three daughters, Walena Lawson of Albany, N.Y, Rolanda Lawson of Pittsburgh, and Florence Ross of Maryland; two aunts, Helen Lawson Miniafee, and Gertrude Jackson, both of Uniontown.
Private viewing and service were held Wednesday from the Muriel E. Lantz Funeral Home, 287 E. Main St., Uniontown.
Margaret K. Mollica
Margaret K. (Molley) Mollica, 90, of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, August 15, 2000.
She was born Oct. 1, 1909, in Lamberton, Pa., the daughter of the late Stephen Rulli and Carmella Delsardo Rulli.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest A. (Molley) Mollica on Dec. 6, 1962; three brothers, Angelo, John and Anthony Rulli; and two sisters, Lucy and Mary. Margaret was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are her beloved children: a son, Joseph Mollica and his wife, Regina of Uniontown, two daughters, Andriana Bartok of Euclid, Ohio, and her late husband, William and Carmella, with whom she shared her home; four grandchildren, William Bartok and his wife, Mary Ann, Michael Bartok and his wife, Kathleen, Regina Laurita and her husband, Roland, and Joseph Mollica and his wife, Lisa; four great-grandchildren, Amanda Bartok, Mario Laurita and Gino and Gianna Mollica; a sister-in-law, Ann Roll; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux R.C. Church, and the Altar Society.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, today from noon to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, until 9:30 a.m., at which time a prayer service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Therese R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. Kenneth Zacchgnini V.F., as celebrant. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
There will be an Altar Society Rosary today at 7:30 p.m.
Gale Day Roach
Gale Day Myers Roach, 66, of Carlsbad, N.M. passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2000 at the residence of her sister, Sandra Sawyers of East Fredericktown.
She was born April 29, 1934 in East Fredericktown, Pa., the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mae Crouch Myers.
She was a graduate of Brownsville High School, Class of 1948 and was employed by the Comfort Inn of Carlsbad, N.M. as an auditor.
She had served in the Air Force from 1949 to 1955 in Germany as an airman second class.
Surviving are a son, Dane Crouch Roach of Lansing, Mich.; two sisters, Benny J. Spiegel of Carlsbad, N.M. and Sandra Sawyers of East Fredericktown; and one brother Jack Myers of Northfield, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold C. Roach who passed away August 29, 1991.
