Julia A. Vizdosh
Julia A. Vizdosh, 95, of Waynesburg, Pa., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, April 8, 2000, in Beverly HealthCare, Waynesburg.
She was born December 13, 1904, in Dunbar, Pa., daughter of Joseph Vizdosh and Julia Takac Vizdosh.
She was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown and was retired from the Bureau of Employment Security where she worked as a secretary in the Field Accounting Department.
Four sisters, Helen Kollar, Mary Malvizzi, Anna Moorhouse, Agnes Wilson, and her parents are deceased.
Surviving are her nieces: Anna Beall Kocan of Scottdale, Pa., Joann W. Owens of Waynesburg, Pa., Norma Jean Malvizzi of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Virginia Seifert of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a nephew, James J. Moorhouse of Pittsburgh; several greatnieces, greatnephews, great-greatnieces and great-greatnephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 12, until 10:30 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.
Interment will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Church Cemetery, Uniontown.
Jean Shaffer Barber
Jean E. Shaffer Barber, 83, of Masontown, Pa., died Sunday, February 20, 2000, in Lancashire Manor, Lancaster, Pa.
She was born May 7, 1916, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., daughter of Harry W. Shaffer and Bertha E. Myers Shaffer.
She was a Cafeteria Manager for 18 years in the Albert Gallatin School District and was a member of McClellandtown United Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, R. Clifton Barber, died October 6, 1986. Also deceased are a daugher, Carol Wilson, a brother, Blaine Shaffer, and her parents.
Surviving are a son, Edwin E. Barber and his wife, Eileen, of North Potomac, Maryland; two daughters: Sandra L. Antram of New Salem, Pa., and Lorraine J. Stillwagon and her husband, Harry, of Lancaster, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Ruth Smith and her husband, Tom, of Masontown, Pa., Betty Watkins of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Sarah Watkins Morgando of Mesa, Arizona.
Friends will be received in the GRANT R. TOWNSEND & SON FUNERAL HOME, 220 South Main St., Masontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Additional visitation will be held in McClellandtown United Presbyterian Church on Thursday, February 24, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Douglas J. Essinger-Hileman officiating.
Interment will follow in the church Cemetery.
Bona Marszona Billiani
Bona Marszona Billiani, 96, of Penncraft, Pa., passed away Monday, February 21, 2000, in the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born September 14, 1903, in Italy, daughter of Jocamine and Maria Marszona.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Republic, and a retired Inspector from Gallet Mills, Uniontown.
She was the last surviving member of the original homesteaders of Penncraft community.
Her husband, Raymond Billiani, died in 1942. Her parents are also deceased.
Surviving are a daughter, Gloria Elko and her husband, Daniel, of Hopwood, Pa.; a son: Geno Billiani and his wife, Rosie, of Penncraft; grandsons: Mark Elko and his wife, Betsy, of Massapequa, New York, and Daniel Elko and his wife, Diane, of Fulshear, Texas; great-grandchildren: Brittney, Alexandra, Derek, Leah, Addison; and one sister and one brother both in Italy.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion St., Republic, Pa., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, February 25, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Republic, with Rev. Fr. Mark Purnell as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
Parish Wake Service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m.
Edwin W. Camlin Sr.
Edwin W. Camlin Sr., 87, of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, February 20, 2000, at Uniontown Hospital.
He was born October 18, 1912, in Scottdale, Pa., son of James Camlin and Ida May Dawager Camlin.
Mr. Camlin was a member of Grace Chapel Presbyterian Church in High House, Pa., member and past President of the Hopwood Lions Club Life, and also a member of the Fayette County Retired Teachers Association.
Two brothers, George and Paul Camlin, and his parents are deceased.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; one son, Edwin Camlin Jr. and wife, Toni, of Edmonds, Oklahoma; one brother, James Camlin Jr. of Scottdale, Pa.; one sister, Donna Tetenbrink of Scottdale; and one grandchild, Ann Maria Camlin.
Friends will be received in the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, February 25, until 11 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Douglas Esslinger-Hileman officiating.
Interment will follow in Jacobs Lutheran Cemetery.
Carmen C. Catalano
Carmen C. Catalano, 74, of New Salem, Pa., died Tuesday, February 22, 2000, in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Aspinwall, Pa.
He was born March 8, 1925, in Grindstone, Pa., son of Joseph Catalano and Stella Territa Catalano.
He was owner of C & C Real Estate Agency, Charter Member of the Grindstone Lion's Club and past District Governor, and a partner in Terrine Development Corporation.
He was a member of the National Association of Realtors and also the Fayette Board of Realtors, a Veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 295 in Brownsville, Pa., The Knights of Columbus, Sons of Italy in Brownsville, Pa., and Fairbank Gun Club.
Predeceased by his first wife, Mary Ann Coppolino Catalano, and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Marie Catalano; children: Carol and her husband, Joseph Myers, Washington, Pa., and Lisa and her husband, Tim Chiplaskey, Uniontown, Pa.; stepchildren from the Puhac family: Patricia, David, Debra, Joseph, George, Steven, Michael, John, Ramona and Paul; 30 step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; brothers: Joseph Catalano, Brownsville, Pa., and Stephen Catalano, Grindstone, Pa.; an aunt, Rose Ondra of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa., today from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Friday, February 25, at 9:15 a.m.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem, Pa., with Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
Wake Service will be held on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
Samuel W. Dean
Samuel W. Dean, 74, of Ohiopyle, Pa., passed away Tuesday evening, February 22, 2000, in Fay-West Health System's Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Williams Dean; and children: Doris Ann Dean Harshman and Samuel Wesley Dean both of Ohiopyle.
Friends will be received in the Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home of Farmington today from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday morning (time will be announced).
Joseph A. Frameli
Joseph A. Frameli, 78, of Greensboro, Pa., died Monday, February 21, 2000, in Canonsburg Hospital, Canonsburg, Pa.
She was born January 27, 1922, in Marianna, Pa., son of Anthony Frameli and Josephine Talerico Frameli.
He was a coal miner at the Clyde Mine in Fredericktown for many years, Lampman and Dispatcher. He retired in 1981.
He served in the United States Army during World War II, and was a member of Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391, Fredericktown, Centerville Borough Sportsman's Association, Connellsville Sportsman's Association, and South Connellsville Rod & Gun Club.
Five sisters, Rose Ciampanelli, Stella Stoskel, Ann Hager, Mary Swinchock, Pauline Tarr, three brothers, Dominic Frameli, August Frameli, James Frameli, and his parents are deceased.
He is survived by his wife, Isabelle Battaglini Frameli; daughter, Catherine Frameli Pordash of Bentleyville, Pa.; grandsons: Joseph M. Pordash and Justin R. Pordash; a sister, Catherine M. Rankin of Carmichaels, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, Route 40, Beallsville, Pa., on Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Friday, February 25, until 9:15 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Clarksville, with Rev. Fr. Thomas Miller as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park where Full Military Honors will be accorded by Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391, Fredericktown.

Jimmy Givens, 28, of Brownsville, Pa., died Tuesday, February 22, 2000, in UPMC-Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, Pa.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Confer Funeral Home, 515 Front St., Brownsville, and will be announced.
Mary Katherine Keim
Mary Katherine Szwed Keim, 87, of Market St., Scottdale, and born in Valley Works, Everson, Pa., to William Szwed and Mary Kotecki Szwed, died Monday, February 21, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital.
She is survived by a son, I. Richard Keim and his wife, Janet Leighty Keim, and their daughter, Susan Alane Keim and her fiance, Robert Gatt; a daughter, Shirley Mae Keim Redinger and her husband, Victor E. ``Sam'' Redinger, and their daughter, Vicki Lynn Redinger Clark and her husband, Richard D. ``Rick'' Clark and their daughter, Peyton Marie Clark; sisters: Anastasia Herrington, Irene Zgorecki Koballa and Catherine Stempniak Barrow; numerous nieces and nephews; and many good and dear friends.
