Adelaide L. Wolfe
Adelaide L. McCartney Wolfe, 88, of Ohiopyle, Pa., went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, February 21, 2000, from the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born January 15, 1912, in Farmington, Pa., to Albert McCartney and Lauretta Kunkle McCartney.
Adeline was a very active member of the Ohiopyle United Methodist Church since September 2, 1927, where she served in various offices including treasurer, the position she held until January of 2000.
Her beloved husband, David A. Wolfe, died in 1961. Also deceased are her parents and two brothers, Robert ``Bob'' McCartney and James ``Jim'' McCartney.
Surviving are three brothers: Albert ``Wayne'' McCartney and wife, Arlene, of Lakeland, Florida, Walter McCartney of Hudson, Ohio, J. Sturgean ``Doc'' McCartney and wife, Betty, of Richmond Heights, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues Saturday, February 26, in Ohiopyle United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of the service with the Rev. Thomas Bonomo, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in Sansom Chapel Cemetery, Farmington.

Elizabeth R. Griffin
Elizabeth R. Griffin, 88, of Flatwoods, Pa., passed away February 28, 2000 in St. Mount Macrina Manor.
She was born January 12, 1912 in Flatwoods, Pa., daughter of the late James G. and Nora Higinbotham Robinson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Roy M. Griffin; an infant daughter, Elizabeth Ann Griffin; and three brothers: Royce, James Marion and John Carroll Robinson.
Mrs. Griffin was a member of the Great Bethel Baptist Church in Uniontown.
She was a member of the Dorcas Philathea Sunday School Class and was their teacher for many years. She served as president of the Woman's Organization and other offices. She also served as president of the Monongahela Association and was State Chairman of White Cross for American Baptist Women. She served two-four year terms on the General Board of American Baptist Churches U.S.A. She was a member of the Curfew Grange 1052, County Grange, State Grange and National Granges. Libby was a member of the Saturday Afternoon Club of Vanderbilt, the Fine Arts of Perryopolis, and Christians Stewarts of Flatwoods area.
She was a graduate of Uniontown High School and California Teachers College. She retired from Laurel Highlands School District. She was a local 4H Club leader and sponsor of a Young Girl Missionary Society for many years.
She is survived by two sons, James M. Griffin and wife Dorothy of Flatwoods, Pa. and John R. Griffin and wife Sharon of Manilius, N.Y.; a daughter, Nancy E. Fulton and husband Ronald of Mertztown, Pa.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Chalmer (Zona Ruth) Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla; two sisters-in-law, Grace E. Griffin of Gettysburg, Pa. and Betty Griffin of Wingate, N.C.
She was loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa. on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until 11 a.m., the hour of service with Dr. Neil Hoppe and Pastor Michael Hall officiating.
Interment will follow in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery.

Mary Ann Kosczuk
Mary Ann Kosczuk, 85, of Waynesburg, Pa. died Sunday, February 27, 2000 in Beverly Health Care Center in Waynesburg following a lengthy illness.
Surviving are two sisters, Sonia Zhour of Fredericktown, Josephine Kosczuk of Cleveland, Ohio; and two brothers Mike Koscheck of Fredericktown and Charles Koscheck of Prosperity R.d.2.
Friends will be received in the Frank Burkus Funeral Home, 29 Mill St., Millsboro from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11a.m. Thursday, the hour of service.

Mary Marshall Lukowski, 100, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, February 28, 2000, in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown.
Arrangements will be announced by the Haky Funeral Homes Inc., 139 West Fayette St., Uniontown.
John Huston Paull
John Huston ``Jack'' Paull, 72, of Frankfort, Indiana, died Monday, February 28, 2000, at his residence.
He was born September 2, 1927, in High House, Pa., son of Harry J. Paull and Edith H. Doyle Paull.
He had resided in Euclid, Ohio, for 30 years before moving to Frankfort.
He graduated from the former Georges Township High School in 1945.
Jack was a veteran of World War II, who served in the United States Navy.
He retired in 1982 from the Cleveland, Ohio, Police Department, where he served for 27 years as a patrolman.
Jack was a member of Lakewood, Ohio, Methodist Church, Frankfort Fraternal Order of Police, Frankfort Moose Lodge No. 7, and the Kirklin, Indiana, American Legion.
Predeceased by his daughter, brother, sister, and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn June Summers Paull; two sons: Harry J. Paull, Montville, Ohio, and Charles E. Paull, Euclid, Ohio; seven sisters: Virginia Druash, Lois Hiles, Ruth Baughman and Norma Smith all of Uniontown, Pa., Vivian Spiker, Gibbon Glade, Pa., Deanna Glover, Kasota, Minnesota, and Donna Miller, Virginia Beach, Virginia; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 WEST CHURCH STREET, FAIRCHANCE, Pa., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, March 3, until 11 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Wayne Glover officiating.
Interment in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Georges Township, Fayette County, Pa.
Military rites will be accorded by AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
Mary E. Pramuk
Mary E. Pramuk, 94, of Bobtown, Pa., died Monday, February 28, 2000, in Cherry Tree Nursing Home, Uniontown.
She was born August 26, 1905 in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret (Slavkosky) Pramuk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Frank and William Pramuk; and sister Rose Bilovesky.
mary was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, the Jednota Lodge and St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Bobtown.
She retired from the W.C. Grant Company as a bookkeeper with 45 years of service.
She is survived by her sister, Marcella Gursky and husband Stephen of Bobtown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC, 139 W. Fayette St., Uniontown today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday March 2, 2000 until 10:30 a.m., when a Prayer Service will be held followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) R.C. Church.
Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Parish Wake Service, 8 p.m. tonight.
Phyllis J. Sickles
Phyllis J. Sickles, 61, of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, February 29, 2000 in her residence.
She was born in Uniontown, Pa., January 30, 1939, daughter of the late Albert and Sarah Haniford McGee.
She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the WELCA and was employed by Davis and Davis as a legal secretary for 18 years.
Mrs. Sickles was a graduate of the South Union High School Class of 1957.

Surviving are her husband Robert G. of Uniontown; and two children, Deborah Gates and husband Anthony of Parkland, Fla., and R. Fred Sickles and his wife Kim of Uniontown; a sister, Ercell Lee Durbin of Uniontown; 4 grandchildren: Christopher and Evard Gates and Brecken and Micah Sickles.
Friends will be received in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 N. Gallatin Ave, Uniontown today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, March 3, 2000 until 12:30.
Funeral services will be conducted in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 71 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, Friday at 1 p.m., with Rev. Paul N. Frank Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Chalk Hill, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Pipe Organ Fund.
Helen F. Stevenson
Helen F. Stevenson, 87, of Uniontown, Pa. died Monday, February 28, 2000 in Beverly Healthcare.
She was born Sept. 23, 1912 in Chula, Mo., a daughter of the late Lloyd and Garnet Urhmacher Littrell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Andrew Stevenson; and a brother, Lloyd Littrell Jr.
Surviving are three children: Frances Helen Breakwell and her husband Robert of Uniontown, Roberta Novick and her husband Charles of Hickory, Pa. and John Stevenson and his wife Carol of Bethel Park, Pa.; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Jacklich of Oakland, Calif.
Mrs. Stevenson was co-owner of Stevenson's Gulf, then Amoco, and later Sunoco Service Station and was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 S. Mount Vernon Ave., Uniontown on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday until 11 a.m., the hour of service with Dr. John K. Sharp officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
