Anthony L. Cherico, 74, of 16 Walden Way, Imperial, Allegheny County, formerly of Erie, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at Ohio Valley General Hospital in Pittsburgh after a long illness.
He was born Nov. 27, 1923, in New Bethlehem, Clarion County, son of the late Anthony N. and Josephine Cherico.
Mr. Cherico worked at the Erie County Prison as a guard for 15 years. He had spent the past 11 years in Florida.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Anne M. Cuzzola Cherico; a daughter, Mrs. Tim (Marianne) Sutto of Pittsburgh; four sons, Anthony J. Cherico and his wife, Paulette, and Charles Cherico and his wife, Cheryl, all of Pittsburgh, David Cherico of Wattsburg and his wife, Barbara, and Greg Cherico of Detroit, Mich.; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry St., Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Thursday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass at St. Boniface Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Mary, Queen of Peace Cemetery.

Verna Wright Murphy
TITUSVILLE Verna Wright Murphy, 90, a resident of Conner's Personal Care Home in Spartansburg, Crawford County, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at Titusville Area Hospital.
She was born Feb. 1, 1907, in Shamburg, Venango County, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Ada Harrington Wright.
Mrs. Murphy was a member of Hydetown Baptist Church and the missionary society. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley M. Murphy, on June 17, 1991; they were marriage Dec. 3, 1927.
Also preceding her in death were three sons, William and James Murphy and an infant son; an infant daughter, Betty Murphy; seven brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Flora) Harvey and Mrs. Joseph (Sylvia) Flanagan, both of Titusville, and Mrs. Harlan (Verna) Nefstead of Centerville, Crawford County; three sons, Harley "Ben" Murphy Jr. of Townville, Crawford County, Fred Murphy of Centerville and Timothy Murphy of Titusville; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 North Washington St., Titusville, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Thursday at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Robert Andrews, pastor of Hydetown Baptist Church.
Burial will be at Jerusalem Corners Cemetery in Pleasantville.

Francis Willard "Buster" Beall, 84, a lifelong resident of Scenery Hill, Pa., died Sunday, April 9, 2000, at 3:30 p.m. in White's Private Care Home, Centerville.

Sister Aurelia Giulia Bonavolonta, 90, of the Verna Montessori School, Mount Pleasant R.D.2, Bullskin Township, Pa., who was born in Marigliano, Naples, Italy, and was a member of The Sisters of Charity of The Immaculate Conception of Ivrea (S.C.I.C.) for 67 years, died Friday, April 7, 2000, in Fay-West Health System's Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant.
In addition to The Sisters of Charity of The Immaculate Conception of Ivrea she is survived by her brothers: Ralph Bonavolonta and wife, Mary, of New Jersey, and Luigi Bonavolonta of Italy; a sister, Sister Ancilla Bonavolonta of Italy; sister-in-law, Rosa; and many nieces and nephews.

John C. Christman
John C. Christman, 58, of Sewickley, Economy Borough, Pa., who was born in White, Fayette County, Pa., to Charles William Christman and Elva Scott Christman, died Saturday, April 8, 2000, in Allegheny University Hospitals, Allegheny General, Pittsburgh.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wallace Christman; children: Randy Christman and wife, Tammy, of Acme, Pa., and Pam Christman Jones and husband, Tom Jones, of Cranberry Township, Pittsburgh, Pa.; grandchildren: Sherry Showman and husband, Craig, Elizabeth Christman, John Christman, Bobbie Sue Jones, Jeffrey Christman, Jenna Jones, Mandy Jones; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson; brothers: Donald Christman and wife, Ivy, of Normalville, Pa., and Howard Christman and wife, Pat, of Mount Pleasant, Pa.; and sisters: Betty Christman Beckner, Sylvia Christman VanSickle of Donegal, Pa., and Sandra Christman Zufall and husband, Dave, of Champion, Pa.

Robert E. Collins
Robert E. Collins, 68, of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, April 9, 2000, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born September 1, 1931, in Jumonville, Fayette County, Pa., son of William Harmon Collins and Gertrude H. Bowden Collins.
Mr. Collins was retired from Rockwell International Corporation and was a veteran of the Korean War who served in the United States Army Intelligence Department.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Ernest Collins and Peter Collins, and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Anne Curtis Collins; three sons: William Robert Collins at home, Robert G. Collins and his wife, Cheryl, of Williamsport, Pa., and Thomas A. Collins of Miami, Florida; a daughter, Patricia Collins Mahoney of Farmington, Pa.; three grandchildren; and a brother, Eugene Collins and his wife, Mary, of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., this evening from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, April 12, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Donald J. Immel officiating.

Pasquale "Pat" Conte, 75, of Jeannette who was born in South Greensburg, Pa., died Saturday, April 8, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Maddalena Conte; children: Anita Conte Irwin and husband, John Irwin, of Connellsville, Pa., and Edward Conte of Claridge, Pa.; grandchildren: Nichole Irwin, Michael Irwin, Stacy Irwin; brothers: Dominic Conte and wife, Ginny, of Ohio and Henry Conte Jr. and wife, Sara, of South Greensburg; a sister, Gelsamena Conte Cicco of North Huntingdon, Pa.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Charles Franklin Dillinger, 36, of Republic, Pa., passed away Sunday, April 9, 2000, in Brownsville General Hospital.
He was born October 4, 1963, in Brownsville, Pa.
He is survived by his parents, Armstrong "Pete" Dillinger and Karen Hopkinson Dillinger of Republic; six children: Amber Pople, Amanda Pople, Lindsey Pople, and Allen Pople and their mother, Tammy Pople, all of Keisterville, Pa., Charles F. Dillinger Jr. and Michael A. Dillinger and their mother, Brandy Astolos, all of Republic; a sister: Suzanne Frost and her husband, Ron, of Republic; and a brother, Joseph A. Dillinger of Searights.
