Mary M. Vargo, 91, of Fayette City, Pa., died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Mon
Valley Hospital.
She is survived by brothers, Samuel Vargo and John Vargo, both of Fayette City;
and a sister, Ann Cupps of Oakmont, Pa.
Friends will be received in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc., 334 Main St.,
Fayette City, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday until 11
a.m., the hour of services.
Alice E. Weeder
Alice E. Weeder, 85, of Holbrook, Pa. (Greene County) passed away on Monday, May
1, 2000 at the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg, Pa.
She was born at Prinnytown, W.Va. on August 17, 1914, a daughter of the now late
Edward and Bertha Maude Smith Sapp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis
"Pappy" Weeder; and a daughter, Bertha Marie Corey.
She was a Protestant by faith and attended several local churches through the
years.
Many years ago, she was employed by the Houze Glass Factory in Point Marion, Pa.
She is survived by a special companion and dear friend, William "Bill" Thomas;
one sister, Genievie O'Brien of Fairchance; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the JOHN F. BROWNFIELD FUNERAL HOME in Smithfield,
Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday until 11 a.m., when
services will be conducted, with the Rev. Richard Ruble officiating.
Interment will be in Church of Christ Cemetery, Lake Lynn, Pa.
Catherine Balsley
Catherine "Tat" Balsley, 84, of Dawson, Pa., died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in the Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant, Pa.
She is survived by one brother, G.F. Ansell of Dawson, Pa.; and one sister, Ruth Stakelbeck of Scottdale; and nieces and nephews.
Private visitation and services will be held in the Ralph E. Galley Funeral Home, Dawson, Pa.
Charles Bello
Charles "Snooks" Bello, 77, of Phoenix, Ariz., died April 22, 2000, in Phoenix, Ariz.
He was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Bello.
Charles grew up in Amend, Pa., and then moved to Phoenix, where he lived and worked for 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Alex and Steve Bello.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Pompura Bello; three daughters, Patty, Tracy and Michelle Bello; two brothers, John Bello of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and Andrew Bello of Uniontown, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.
Private Funeral Services were held for the family in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 24, 2000.
Evelyn J. Karoffa
Evelyn J. (Meosky) Karoffa, 71, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born Jan. 18, 1929, in Ralph, Pa., a daughter of the late Paul and Catherine (Magda) Meosky.
Mrs. Karoffa was a member of Saint Mary's (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, was a graduate of German Township High School, Class of 1946, and was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Union.
Surviving are her loving husband, Steve Karoffa, with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage on April 24; her brother, Paul R. Meosky of Grand Island, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS Cemetery, 603 North Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., this evening from 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, May 6, 2000, when a Mass of Christian burial will be held at a time and place to be announced. Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Julia J. Lisac
Julia J. (Constantine) Lisac, 80, of Uniontown, Pa., died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born July 21, 1919, in Dearth, daughter of the late Nick and Nellie Barretta Constantine.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Lisac Sr., in 1968; a brother, Anthony Constantine; and two sisters, Rose Ford and Jennie Cook.
Surviving are a son, George Lisac and his wife, Michele and a grandson, Ryan, all of Uniontown; three sisters, Mary Mehallic of Lorain, Ohio, Elizabeth Cicconi of Uniontown, and Catherine Tuckish and her husband, Steve of Smock; three brothers, Robert Constantine and his wife, Evelyn and William Constantine and his wife, Theresa, all of Smock, and Eugene Constantine and his wife, Marie of Uniontown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church and the churches Women Scripture Study group.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, May 5, 2000, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at which time a Blessing Service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Therese R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. Kenneth Zaccagnini V.F., as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Macrina Cemetery.
Kathalea Orlosky
Kathalea Orlosky, 80, of Carmichaels, Pa., died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at 3:50 p.m., in Fairfax Nursing Center, Fairfax, Va.
She is survived by her second husband, Andrew R. Orlosky; the following children: Mrs. Roger (Perry) Dick of Letitz, Pa., Mrs. Leonard (Jackie) Shoemaker of Trenton, Mich., John Helmick and wife, Pat of Payson, Ariz., Robert Orlosky and wife, Betty of Fairfax Station, Va., and William Orlosky of Aberdeen, Md.; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry Rembold of Lake Worth, Fla.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., Carmichaels, Pa.

Bernard S. Prah Sr., 64, beloved husband of the late Norma; dearest son of Martin J. Prah and Anna J. (Unetich) Prah; loving father of Bernard S. Prah Jr., Robert J. Prah and Catherine Pavosevic; dear brother of Joseph, Edward, Mary Jane Lucia, Teresa Perrotta, Cecelia Cain, Martin Prah (deceased) and Anna Prah (deceased); and dearest grandfather of eight; and great-grandfather of one.
The family received friends in the ZAK FUNERAL HOME, 6016 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio, on Wednesday. Funeral Services will be held today at 9:30 a.m. Chapel service will be followed by a 10 a.m., Mass at St. Francis Church (East 71st and Superior). Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery.
