Karen S. "Susie" Feick, 54, of Smithton, R.D.1, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, where service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. D. Keith Solomon officiating. Interment will follow in Scottdale Cemetery. Alice E. Murray, 79, of Dunbar, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, at Specht's Care Home, Connellsville. She was born March 3, 1922, in Dunbar, the daughter of the late Morgan and Theresa Bereider Dean. During her lifetime she had been employed at Anchor Hocking Corp., Keystone Fireworks and The Melody Motor Lodge. She was a member of The Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church in Dunbar and was a former member of The Ladies Auxiliary to F.O. Eagles of Connellsville and The Dunbar Firemen's Auxiliary and The Daughters of America of Dunbar. She is survived by one son, George S. Murray Jr. of Dunbar; three grandchildren, Stephen Thorpe, George Samuel Murray III and Alice Georgetta Conway; a great-grandchild, Stephen Conway; two sisters, Mrs. George (Louise G.) Pastorius of Dunbar and Mrs. Jack (Virginia) Wilson of Cohutta, Ga. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George S. Murray Sr.; daughter, Theresa Murray; three sisters, Margaret Shockey, Ruth Edwards and Madeline Miller; three brothers, Glenn Dean, Gilbert Dean and Joseph Dean. Friends will be received at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday. Funeral service will be held Friday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jeffrey L. Popson officiating. Committal and interment will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar.

Marjorie Dana Geer Serafin, 39, of Youngwood, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 6, 2001, in Latrobe Area Hospital, Latrobe, after a five-year courageous battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 15, 1962, in Kirkwood, Mo., a daughter of Marjorie Joan McFadden Geer of Scottdale and the late Philip Nessly Geer, who died June 26, 1981. Dana attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Scottdale. Dana received her education in the Hempfield School District and attended the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy of Greensburg. She was involved in retail sales with the former Troutmans Department Store of Greensburg for several years and had a flair for interior design. Prior to her illness, she was employed by Dick's Sporting Goods of Smithton. Dana cherished the many special times she spend with her husband, Bob, riding with him on their Harley Davidson and also the quality time with him in their over-the-road adventures in his tractor trailer throughout the United States. In addition to her mother, Majorie Joan McFadden Geer of Scottdale, Dana leaves to hold dear her memories, her loving and devoted husband of 15 years, Robert K. Serafin, whom she married Dec. 31, 1985; her 8-year-old daughter, Rachel N. Serafin, a student of Stanwood Elementary School, New Stanton, whom her mom cherished and loved dearly and was very proud of her karate accomplishments; two sisters, Christine Beste and her husband, Glen, of Washington, Mo., and Debra A. Francilancia and her husband, Henry, of Harahan, La.; brother, Nessly J. Geer and his wife, Denise, of Manchester, N.H.; sister-in-law, Joan Koontz of Greensburg; father-in-law, Casmer J. Serafin of Greensburg; nine nieces and nephews; and a number of dear friends, including K. Heidi Lewandowski Sandzimier of Scottdale. In addition to her father, Philip Nessly Geer, Dana was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Mary Serafin. Dana's family will receive friends in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m. Dana's funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Paul Morris, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Scottdale, officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in Scottdale Cemetery, Scottdale. In lieu of flowers, if one so desires, the family would appreciate contributions be made to her daughter Rachel's educational endowment fund in memory of Dana.

Doris E. Klepsky, 77, of Mount Pleasant, went to her eternal rest Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, after a brief illness, at her son Dennis' home, in Scottdale. Born Feb. 21, 1924, in Mount Pleasant, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Yothers and Clara (Weaver) Yothers Heffelfinger. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Church of God. She was a 1942 graduate of East Huntingdon High School, the Scottdale Senior Citizens, Bullskin Senior Citizens and A.A.R.P. Her memories will be cherished by her son, Dennis Klepsky Sr. and wife, Gwen, of Scottdale; a daughter, Linda Hare and husband, George Sr., of Mount Pleasant; a brother, Robert Andrew Yothers and wife, Deanie, of Mount Pleasant; four grandsons, George Hare Jr. and wife, Anna, Brian Hare, Dennis Klepsky Jr. and wife, Debbie and Randy Klepsky and wife, Rachel; and eight great-grandchildren, Troy, Justin, Andy, Sara, Robbie, Brittany, Melissa and Hannah Klepsky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Klepsky, on Oct. 5, 1988; and an infant brother, John Webster Yothers. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., 730 W. Main St., Mount Pleasant, where service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charles W. Yost officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.

Gilbert A. "Gib" DiMatteo, 78, of Market Street, Scottdale, died early Wednesday morning, Nov. 7, 2001, in his residence. He was born June 15, 1923, in Scottdale, a son of the late Agostino and Josephine DiPasquale DiMatteo. Gib was a life member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale, and the church's Holy Name and St. Vincent DePaul societies. He was also a 4th Degree member and Past Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator of the Catholic Knights of Columbus, Bishop O'Connor Assembly, Connellsville. He was a veteran of the armed forces serving during World War II with the U.S. Army, Company N, 12th Quartermaster Training Regiment and Service Company, 110th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Scottdale. Gib was a graduate of Scottdale High School, Class of 1943, and Uniontown Technical School. He was a retired blacksmith and welder in the cold reduction department of U.S. Steel, Irvin Works, with 39 years of service. Gib was a member of the South Greensburg American Legion Post 981 and a member of the Mount Pleasant and Everson Senior Citizens organizations. He was also a member of the Scottdale Sons of Italy and East Huntingdon Sportsman's Club. He was a licensed amateur radio operator with his call sign "W3RSY" and a member of the Coke Center Radio Club in Connellsville. Gib leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Yolanda H. Celani DiMatteo, whom he married Feb. 3, 1951; and his daughter, Gloria Jean Pohodich and her husband, Kevin, of Elizabeth Township. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent DiMatteo, who was killed in action in France during World War II, and Gerald "Jerry" DiMatteo, who died April 23, 1976. Gib's family will receive friends in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Saturday at noon in the funeral home, followed by his funeral Mass to be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale, with the Rev. William P. Donahue as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist RC Parish Cemetery, Scottdale. A parish wake service will be held Friday afternoon in the funeral home.

Mary Shutterly Weimer, 85, of St. Charles, Mo., formerly of South Broadway, Scottdale, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, in Blanchette Place, St. Charles, Mo. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. A blessing service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by her funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist RC Church, Scottdale, with the Rev. Leonard W. Stoviak as celebrant. Graveside services and interment will follow in St. John the Baptist RC Parish Cemetery, Scottdale. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Mary S. Weimer.

Michael J. "Hank" Borris Jr., 58, of Connellsville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001, in Highlands Hospital. He was born July 29, 1943, in Connellsville, a son of the late Michael J. Borris Sr. and Nina LeGrande Borris. He was a Protestant by faith. Hank was retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. where he was an upkeep man and group leader for 34 years. Hank lived his life to the fullest, loved his family, and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Hank is survived by his loving wife Mary Catherine "Cathy" Morrison Borris, to whom he was married 39 years; a daughter, Michelle "Sheli" Garrity and her husband Shaun of Connellsville; two sons, Gerald A. "Jerry" Borris and Michael J. Borris III, both of Connellsville; two grandsons, Brett B.J. Borris and Tre Garrity, both of Connellsville; two brothers, Joseph F. Borris and Thomas E. Borris, both formerly of Connellsville. In addition to his parents, Hank was predeceased by three sisters, Phyllis Reese, Patricia Gurki and Mary Louise Reese. Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. First St., West Side Connellsville, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until 11 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Dr. Marvin A. Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
