Wilbur Dean Hartman
Wilbur Dean Hartman of Detroit, Mich. formerly of South Connellsville, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at his home.
He is survived by a son, John; a daughter, Sharon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Floyd and Earl Hartman of South Connellsville and William Hartman of Dunbar; four sisters, Faye Welker and Betty Haines of Connellsville, LaVerne Blosnick of Rices Landing and June Kulczak of Maryland.
Services were held in Detroit, Mich.

John D. Koposko Sr.
John D. Koposko Sr., 77, of Uniontown, Pa., died early Tuesday morning July 4, 2000, at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born November 21, 1922, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Andrew Koposko and Ann Harchar Koposko.
John was a member of United Mine Workers of America and Ss. Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Fairchance, Pa.
He was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator most of his life at various coal companies and retired from Luzerne Coal Company in 1984.
John also enjoyed his family and the simple way of life. He liked gardening, talking to his neighbors, and working on cars in his garage.
His memories will be cherished!
Three sisters, Ann, Agnes and Veronica Koposko, brother, Andrew Koposko, and his parents preceded in death.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Josephine M. Varva Koposko; children: John F. Koposko Jr., Uniontown, Pa., Regina M. Koposko Cox and husband, Roy Cox, Lugoff, South Carolina, Roseann Kurutz and husband, Bob Kurutz, Uniontown, and Susan J. Koposko, Uniontown; his granddaughters-he was lovingly known to them as
Pap Pap": Suzanne Cox, Lugoff, South Carolina, Danielle Mullen, Nicole Mullen, and Heather Mullen all of Uniontown, Pa., and Emily Cox, Lugoff, South Carolina; and brothers: Elmer Koposko, Windber, Pa., Vincent Koposko, Uniontown, Pa., and Rudy Koposko, Uniontown. Also survived by a very special friend, Elmer Saltrik of Markleysburg, Pa.
Friends will be received at the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 WEST CHURCH STREET, FAIRCHANCE, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, July 8, until 8:30 a.m., when a prayer service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9 a.m., in Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, Fairchance.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church Handicap Ramp Fund, 50 North Morgantown Street, Fairchance, PA 15436.
A Parish Wake Service will be held today at 8 p.m.
Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary on Friday at 4 p.m.

Andrew R. Kostelnik
Andrew R. Kostelnik, 84, of Hiller, Pa., died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 28, 1916, in West Brownsville, Pa., son of the late Joseph and Anna Sedlacko Kostelnik.
Andrew was a retired Miner from Gateway Mine, and a member of the UMWA, Chartiers Local 6330, District 2.
During World War II, he was sent to Chester, Pa., as a Master Welder to build ships.
He was a charter member of the Hiller Volunteer Fire Department, and a lifelong member of the Brownsville Elks 6331.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Thelma Murray Kostelnik; four brothers, Frank, Joseph, George and Bill; and three sisters, Ann, Mary and Josephine.
Surviving are his loving wife, Nellie Porter Kostelnik; the following children: his son, Alan Kostelnik, granddaughter, Margaret and grandson, Matthew of Morristown, N.J., daughter, Janice and husband, Andrew Machusko of Brownsville, Pa., granddaughter, Mauree and great-grandson, Aaron Faith of Hiller, Pa., and grandson, Sean Machusko of Belle Vernon, Pa., daughter, Jeanne Jenkins and dear friend, Larry Gaskin of Phoenix, Ariz., grandson, Brian and wife, Julie Jenkins and great-granddaughters, Emilee, Lauren and Jenna of Champaign, Ill, and grandson, Tom and wife, Debra Jenkins of Champaign, Ill; a brother, Steve Lesneck Kostelnik of Hiller, Pa.; sisters, Irene Kubacka of Brownsville, Pa., and Ellen Weirton of Jacksonville, Fla.; stepchildren, Cathy Ann Brumley of Grindstone, Pa., Larry Porter of Virginia Beach, Va., Charles B. Porter of Brownsville, Pa., and Jean Shamsi of Uniontown, Pa.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., ,Brownsville, Pa., today from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., where a prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Brownsville, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti as celebrant.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.

Charles A. Kramer
Charles A. Kramer, 79, of Ruffsdale, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Cedar Ridge Personal Care Home, Ruffsdale.
He is survived by a son, Robert E. Kramer Shawley; a daughter, Charlene A. Kramer Shawley; four grandsons and two sisters, Anne and Mary Kramer of Pittsburgh.
Friends will be received at Eugene G. Saloom Funeral Home Inc., Main Street, Mount Pleasant, today until 9:30 a.m.

John J. Lagwanits
John J. Lagwanits, 82, of Reading, Pa., passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 16, 1917, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Joseph J. and Mary Matyas Lagwanits.
Surviving are his wife, Annabelle Rishel (King) Lagwanits; two stepsons, Ronald Bierer of Toledo, Ohio, and Charles Bierer of Bridgeport, W.Va.; three stepdaughters, Darlene Cassidy of Strongville, Ohio, Ginny Bierer Hracho of Reading, Pa., and Betsy Bierer Natalie of Hockessin, Del.; two grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Legwanits was employed as a supervisor with Ohio Bell, retiring in 1979.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Force in World War II, and the Korean Wars.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Thomas Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Virginia Eddie Hoak Lininger
Virginia Eddie Hoak Lininger, 88, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, July 3, 2000, in UPMC-Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born December 6, 1911, in Perryopolis, Pa., daughter of Jack Eddie and Flora Belle Hannah Eddie.
Mrs. Lininger was a former employee of the Uniontown Hospital, a member of Central Christian Church in Uniontown, and a Lifetime Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Franklin T. Hoak Sr., her second husband, Clarence Lininger, two children, Franklin T. Hoak Jr. and Kay Frances Chuna, several brothers and sisters, and her parents.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol and her husband, Steve Popson, and a son, Thomas Hoak and his wife, Evelyn, all of Uniontown; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Mills of Uniontown.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted at 8:30 p.m., with Dr. Tommy Garrison officiating.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested by the family that memorial contributions be made to Central Christian Church, Uniontown.

Roselia V. Pleban
Roselia Victoria Pleban, formerly of Wynn, Pa., died in Uniontown Hospital after a brief illness, and through God's Providence entered into Eternal Life on Tuesday, July 4, 2000, in her 92nd year of life.
She is survived by her three sons, the Rev. Alexander L. Pleban, Pastor of St. Joseph Church on Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, Pa., the Rev. Leo J. Pleban, Retired Pastor of St. Joseph the Provider Church, Campbell, Ohio, and with whom she made her home for the past 30 years, and John P. Pleban and his wife, Mary of Chicago, Ill; two granddaughters, Michelle Colen and her husband, Michael and Julie Clarke and her husband, Matt; four great-grandchildren, Megan, Jessica, Ashley and Courtney Colen, all of Chicago, Ill; one sister, Tekla Skomra of Uniontown, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, who was electrocuted in 1944, at Wynn Coke Works; the following sisters, Mary Joswick, Katherine Hench, Viola Bari, Bessie Minkus, Hettie Frankowiak and Martha Kassimer; and one brother, Charles Hensh.
She was born Aug. 30, 1907, in McClure, Pa., the daughter of John and Victoria (Lewandowski) Hensh.
After the death of her husband, the family moved to Pittsburgh, Pa., and for many years, she was employed by the Capuchin Fathers in Brookline, as a seamstress making church vestments for their religious order and also for many priests of the Pittsburgh and Greensburg Dioceses. She was also employed at this time by Toner Institute for Boys, Pittsburgh, Pa., to assist the Sisters of Divine Providence in Administrative Duties. On retirement, she made her home with her son, Leo and served as rectory housekeeper. She enjoyed and belonged to many religious organizations in the Parishes of St. Ann of Sebring, Ohio, and St. Joseph the Provider of Campbell, Ohio.
She spent a lifetime of dedication and devotion to her sons. God blessed her with good health for many years, and she enjoyed equal devotion and love from her sons.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 139 West Fayette St., Uniontown, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, July 8, 2000, until 10:30 a.m., when a Blessing Service will be held. A Mass of Christian burial follows at 11 a.m., and will be concelebrated by her priest sons and visiting clergy, with Bishop Bosco in attendance, at St. Joseph Church on Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown. Burial will be in Parish Cemetery of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Fairchance, Pa. St. Joseph Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary on Friday at 3 p.m.

Hazel B. Quinette
Hazel B. Quinette, 81, of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of Addison, Pa., died Friday, June 30, 2000, at Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Boynton Beach, Fla.
Along with her husband, she owned and operated the W.C. Quinette Boat Docks at Youghioneny Lake from 1957 to 1969.
She is survived by her husband, William C. Quinette; a son, Bill Quinette and grandson,David Quinette, all of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a granddaughter, Pamela Quinette of Springhill, Fla.; and sisters, Irene Pfirman of Butler, Pa., Eva Messer of Pittsburgh, Emma Wise of Dayton, Ohio, and Luella Gunther of Wilmington, Ohio.
Friends will be received in the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, on Saturday, July 8, from 1 to 3 p.m., the hour of service.

Carol Sausman
Carol Sausman, 52, of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, in the Westmoreland Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Haky Funeral Homes Inc., 139 West Fayette St., Uniontown, Pa.
