Mark A. Costello, 35, of Fairchance, Pa., died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, in Harrisburg, Pa.
He was born Dec. 18, 1964, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Gwendolyn Knox Costello and the late Lloyd Costello Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Cassandra Costello and Courtney Costello, both of Collier, Pa.; three sisters, Katie Kaputa and her husband, Leo of Fairchance, Pa., Cindy Pechatsko and her husband, Tim of Fairchance, Pa., and Wilma Groover and her husband, Skipp of Point Marion, Pa.; two brothers, Lloyd Costello Jr., and his wife, Sue of Smithfield, Pa., and Dan Costello and his wife, Mary of Uniontown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mark was a member of the Fairchance Church of the Brethren.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church St., Fairchance, Pa., on Sunday, Jul y 9, 2000, from 6 to 8 p.m., when a memorial service will be held, with the Rev. Kenneth Walls officiating. Interment will be private.
Henrietta E. Grove
Henrietta E. Grove, 92, of Uniontown, Pa., formerly of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away Thursday, July 6, 2000, at Beverly Health Care Center, Uniontown.
She was born May 3, 1908, at High House, Pa., daughter of the late Samuel Evans Keener and Florence (Harvey) Keener.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Grove on Sept. 21, 1978; a daughter, Joanne Mae Grove on April 30, 1937; and two brothers, William Keener on April 18, 1974, and John Keener in January, 1993.
Mrs. Grove was a Golden Age member of the McClellandtown Presbyterian Church, the Trinity Class and the Women's Circle.
She was a teacher in the Albert Gallatin Area School District, where she retired in 1971. She was a member of the German Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, and National Teachers' organizations. She was also a member of the Silver Threads (Senior Citizens Group of McClellandtown).
Surviving are four daughters, Eleanor Murphy and her husband, Ted of La Grange, Ohio, Janet Hartman and her husband, Bob of Elyria, Ohio, Connie Romantic and her husband, John of Elyria, Ohio, and Patricia McClelland and her husband, Harry of Uniontown, Pa.; six grandchildren, Ken and Sandy McClelland of Uniontown (with whom she resided), Robert and Terri Hartman, Debra and Dan Boror and Mark and Brenda Romantic, all of Elyria, Ohio; Pam and Paul Workman of Zanesville, Ohio, and Tom and Beth Murphy of Wellington, Ohio; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lela Mae Johns of Uniontown.
Friends will be received in the H. DAVID MCELROY FUNERAL HOME, corner of Main and Blaine streets, McClellandtown, on Saturday, July 8, 2000, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday, July 9, 2000, until 2:30 p.m., the hour of service. The Rev. Douglas J. Essinger-Hileman will officiate. Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown.
Andrew R. Kostelnik
Andrew R. Kostelnik, 84, of Hiller, Pa., died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 28, 1916, in West Brownsville, Pa., son of the late Joseph and Anna Sedlacko Kostelnik.
Andrew was a retired Miner from Gateway Mine, and a member of the UMWA, Chartiers Local 6330, District 2.
During World War II, he was sent to Chester, Pa., as a Master Welder to build ships.
He was a charter member of the Hiller Volunteer Fire Department, and a lifelong member of the Brownsville Elks 6331.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Thelma Murray Kostelnik; four brothers, Frank, Joseph, George and Bill; and three sisters, Ann, Mary and Josephine.
Surviving are his loving wife, Nellie Porter Kostelnik; the following children: his son, Alan Kostelnik, granddaughter, Margaret and grandson, Matthew of Morristown, N.J., daughter, Janice and husband, Andrew Machusko of Brownsville, Pa., granddaughter, Mauree and great-grandson, Aaron Faith of Hiller, Pa., and grandson, Sean Machusko of Belle Vernon, Pa., daughter, Jeanne Jenkins and dear friend, Larry Gaskin of Phoenix, Ariz., grandson, Brian and wife, Julie Jenkins and great-granddaughters, Emilee, Lauren and Jenna of Champaign, Ill, and grandson, Tom and wife, Debra Jenkins of Champaign, Ill; a brother, Steve Lesneck Kostelnik of Hiller, Pa.; sisters, Irene Kubacka of Brownsville, Pa., and Ellen Weirton of Jacksonville, Fla.; stepchildren, Cathy Ann Brumley of Grindstone, Pa., Larry Porter of Virginia Beach, Va., Charles B. Porter of Brownsville, Pa., and Jean Shamsi of Uniontown, Pa.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., ,Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., where a prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's R.C. Church, Brownsville, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti as celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
John J. Lagwanits
John J. Lagwanits, 82, of Reading, Pa., passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 16, 1917, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Joseph J. and Mary Matyas Lagwanits.
Surviving are his wife, Annabelle Rishel (King) Lagwanits; two stepsons, Ronald Bierer of Toledo, Ohio, and Charles Bierer of Bridgeport, W.Va.; three stepdaughters, Darlene Cassidy of Strongville, Ohio, Ginny Bierer Hracho of Reading, Pa., and Betsy Bierer Natalie of Hockessin, Del.; two grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Legwanits was employed as a supervisor with Ohio Bell, retiring in 1979.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Force in World War II, and the Korean Wars.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Thomas Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Rosemary Morris, 52, of Uniontown, Pa., died suddenly Thursday, July 6, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Haky Funeral Homes Inc., Uniontown, Pa.
Rose M. Ross
Rose Marie Ross, 89, of Uniontown, Pa., formerly of Connellsville, Pa., passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital and went to be with her Lord.
She was born Dec. 4, 1910, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Angelo M. and Fortunata Savio D'Andrea.
She was a member of St. Rita Roman Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers in Connellsville.
She was active in various clubs and organizations in the Connellsville area, prior to her moving to Uniontown, to live with her daughter. Rose was the first president of the Connellsville Area Senior Citizens Center when first organized.
She was a housewife all of her life, who was loving, caring and ever close to her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, Janie Nicholson and her husband, Ken of Uniontown, with whom she resided and Rita Molinaro and her husband, Henry and Vera Long, all of Connellsville; six sons, Rocky Ross and his wife, Libby and John Ross and his wife, Marie, all of Connellsville, Joe Ross and his close companion, Sandy Murphy and Terry Ross and his wife, Sharon, Louie Ross and his wife, Karen and Frank Ross and his wife, Cindy, all of Dunbar; 46 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren; and 14 great great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Ross, on Oct. 2, 1955; a son, Anthony (Hank) Ross, in April of this year; a grandson, Emerson Long Jr., in 1980; three brothers, Domenic, Joseph and Anthony D'Andrea; a sister, Rose Ross; and two half-sisters, Minnie Zeppo and Kate Bowman.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First St., West Side, Connellsville, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 9:45 a.m., in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in St. Rita R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. Francis Lesniowski as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Rita Cemetery. A Parish Wake Service will be held this evening at 8:30 p.m., in the funeral home.
Carol A. Sausman
Carol Ann Sausman, 52, of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, in Westmoreland Hospital.
She was born April 2, 1949, in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of the late Miller and Ida (Davis) Howard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Hoak.
Carol was employed at the Mount Vernon Inn as a receptionist for several years.
She is survived by two children, Kenneth Stephen Livingston of Albuquerque, N.M., and Lori Anderson of Virginia; and five grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 139 West Fayette St., Uniontown, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, July 8, 2000, until 2 p.m., with Dr. Tommy Garrison officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.

John A. Wrabel, 81, of Uniontown, Pa., died Wednesday, July 5, 2000.

Ella Zelenak
Ella Zelenak, 98, of Isabella, formerly of Ronco, Pa., died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, in Isabella, Pa.
She was born Jan. 1, 1902, in Shoaf, Pa., daughter of the late George and Suzanna Goyda.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Zelenak; a son, Eugene F. Zelenak; sister, Marie and brother, Michael Goyda. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 515 North Main St., Masontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, July 8, 2000, until 9:30 a.m., when a Blessing Service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m., in St. Mary Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C.
