Joseph D. Gallo Jr.
Joseph David Gallo Jr., 46, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Tuesday, April 27, 1999, in Uniontown Hospital.
He was born Oct. 15, 1952, in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Joseph D. and Betty Lou Show Gallo Sr.
Surviving are two brothers, Jeff Gallo, with whom he made his home, and James Gallo and wife, Betty Ann of Uniontown; a niece, Lori Ferguson and husband, Jeff of Brownfield; a nephew, James Gallo of Uniontown; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joe was a member of Connellsville Street Church of the Brethren, graduated from the Fayette County Area Technical School, with the Class of 1973, and was a member of Amend Sportsman's Club.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday until 11 a.m., the hour of the service, with the Rev. Guy Provance officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery.

Uniontown
Mary Elizabeth Greene
Mary Elizabeth Swanson Greene, 80, of Uniontown, Pa., died peacefully Monday, April 26, 1999, in Mount Saint Macrina Manor, Uniontown.
She was born January 30, 1919, in Ridgeway, Pa., daughter of Benjamin and Mary Swanson.
Mrs. Greene graduated from Kersey High School in 1937 and worked for Fox Township Elementary School as a food service provider before her retirement.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Connellsville.
Her parents and several brothers and sisters are deceased.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Clyde W. Greene; two daughters: Marilyn Gurosik and her husband, Clyde, of North Augusta, S.C., and Lori Greene and her husband, Chris Decker, of Uniontown; and a brother, Harry Swanson of Kersey, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, Pa., today from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Services will be held at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Herb Dubler officiating.
A Memorial Service, which will be held at a later date and announced, will be held in Maria Lutheran Church, Toby Road, Dagus Mines, Pa., followed by interment in Maria Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Brownsville
Clarence E. Gregory
Clarence E. Gregory, 63, of Brownsville, Pa., died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, in Uniontown Hospital.
He was born July 9, 1935, in Monessen, Pa.
Surviving are his wife, Juanita Gregory; two sons, Clarence Gregory Jr., and Fiance, Mindy of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Reginald Gregory of Asheville, N.C.; one sister, Elizabeth Freeman of Brownsville, Pa.; three nieces, Sandra McCain and husband, Lincoln of Grindstone, Pa., Joyce Hammond, of Suitland, Md., and Shirley Scott of Pittsburgh.
Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main St., Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.

Streetsboro, Ohio
Mary E. Holub
Mary E. Holub, 87, of Streetsboro, Ohio, formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, in Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, Ohio.
She was born Nov. 7, 1911, in Collier, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Fabian) Fisher.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Holub in 1962; and her daughter, Dolores Holub.
She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Streetsboro, Ohio, and a past member of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church of Uniontown.
Surviving are her daughter, Doris Gotch and husband, George of Streetsboro, Ohio; grandchildren, Gary Gotch and wife, Barbara of Hudson, Ohio, and Richard Gotch of West Lebanon, N.H.; sisters, Catherine Uhrin of Uniontown, Pa., and Ann Shanaberger of Fairchance, Pa.; a brother, Stephen Fisher of Lake Park, Fla.; a niece, Betty Pocratsky; and a nephew, Robert Shanaberger.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 139 West Fayette St., Uniontown, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, April 30, 1999 until 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church at 9:30 a.m, with the Rev. Fr. George K. Alderson as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Parish Wake Service will be held on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.

Valparaiso
Lorenzo J. Lattanzi
Lorenzo J. "Larry" Lattanzi, 82, of Valparaiso, Pa., passed away Sunday, April 11, 1999, at Porter Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 31, 1917, in LaBelle, Pa., the son of the late Domenico and Pierina (Fantin) Lattanzi.
He was a retired sales engineer for National Steel (retiring in 1981), a member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Valparaiso, the Knights of Columbus Council 738, Fr. Sorin Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and a member of St. Paul Catholic Mens' Club.
Surviving are three sons, Larry (Linda) Lattanzi of Phoenix, Ariz., Ken (Sue) Lattanzi of Gurnee, Ill., and Ron (Kay) Lattani of Hawthorn Woods, Ill.; four grandchildren, Larry, Cheryl, Paul and Rachel; one great-grandchild, Kelly; two sisters, Pierina Durigon and Evelyn (Regis) Lanzi, both of Brownsville, Pa.; and a dearest friend, Wanda Horak.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delphine.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 15, 1999, at 10:30 a.m., from DYKES FUNERAL HOME to St. Paul Catholic Church for an 11 a.m., Mass, with the Rev. Joseph Pawlowski as celebrant. Msgr. John J. Charlebois was concelebrant. Burial in St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Wake Service at 7 p.m., at Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 North Campbell St., Valparaiso. The family wishes memorials be made to Porter County Cancer Society. (219) 462-3125.

Uniontown
Anna Pitek Mascioli
Anna E. Pitek Mascioli, 94, of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, April 26, 1999, in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown.
She was born May 31, 1904, in Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Martin Pitek Sr. and Mary (Karpiel) Pitek.
Anna was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and Maria Montessori Lodge No. 1711.
Her husband, Ugo Mascioli, died January 3, 1973. Also deceased are a son, Paul E. Mascioli; a grandson, Edward Mansell; three brothers, Martin Pitek, Michael Pitek and Andrew Pitek, two sisters, Mary Balas and Veronica Pitek, and her parents.
She is survived by three sons: Joseph N. Mascioli of Uniontown, Phillip E. Mascioli of LeMoyne, Pa., and Ugo Anthony "Jake" Mascioli of Connellsville, Pa.; a daughter, Mary Catherine Mansell of North Versailles, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four brothers: John Pitek of Farmington, W.Va., Steven Pitek of Germany, Frank Pitek of Detroit, Mich., and Joseph Pitek of Taylor, Mich.; and two sisters: Josephine Sholtis of Uniontown and Christina Sievert of Detroit, Mich.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday until 9 a.m., at which time a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian burial follows, in St. Therese R.C. Church, Uniontown, with the Rev. Fr. Kenneth Zaccagnini, V.F., as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Altar Society will recite the Rosary today at 7:30 p.m., followed by Maria Montessori Lodge services.

Uniontown
John J. Papula
John J. (Epsy) Papula, 90, of Uniontown, Pa. died Monday, April 26, 1999, in Uniontown, Pa.
He was born Feb. 5, 1909, in Leith, Pa., the son of the late Joseph and Mary Marchinchin Papula.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Smitley Papula on July 16, 1981; and three sisters, Josephine Wojcik, Anna Papula and Margaret Vandetti.
He was a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church and the Holy Name Society. Mr. Papula was also a member of the United Mine Workers Local 1319, a social member of the West Leisenring Volunteer Fire Department and a charter member of the Valley Sportsman Club. He had worked for U.S. American Bridge and many local mines, and retired after 24 years from the Shiffler Plant.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Lizza of Dunbar, Mrs. Jules (Maureen) Dill of Ebensburg, Pa., and Mrs. Lawrence (Judy) Baran of Uniontown; two sisters, Mary Goodish of Pittsburgh, and Kathryn Opalko of Mentor, Ohio; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Thursday, April 29, until 11 a.m., at which time a Blessing Service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, in St. Mary's R.C. Church. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery. A Parish Wake Service will be held this evening at 8:30 p.m.

Uniontown
Dolores T. Petlevich
Dolores T. Petlevich, 73, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Monday, April 26, 1999, in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born Sept. 16, 1925, in Thompson No. 1, Pa., a daughter of the late Earl Andrew and M. Irene V. (Marks) Taylor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Clara Kiger and Betty Taylor; and a brother, Earl Taylor.
Mrs. Petlevich was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, and she retired from the Uniontown Hospital after 19 years of service as housekeeping supervisor.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Walter J. Petlevich; children, Susan Ann Lemmon and her husband, Lawrence and Walter J. Petlevich Jr., and his wife, Janet, all of Uniontown, and Andrew Petlevich of Shrewsbury, Pa.; grandchildren, Sheri Gregg and her husband, Dean of Uniontown, Pa., and Richard Lemmon and his wife, Angela of Fairchance, Pa.; a great-grandson, Ryan Lemmon; a sister, Nellie Waters of Bellview, Pa.; a brother, Alfred Taylor of Washington, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 27, in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Alexander Pleban as celebrant. Interment followed in the Mt. Saint Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Uniontown Cardiac Care Unit, 500 West Berkeley St., Uniontown, PA 15401. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., of Uniontown, Pa.

Earnest Risha, 97, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Tuesday evening in his home.
Arrangements are incomplete and are being handled by the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 Pennsylvania Ave., Uniontown, Pa.

Martinsburg, W.Va.
Margaret Snyder
Margaret "Marge" (Uhouse) Snyder, 73, of North Louisiana Ave., Martinsburg, W.Va., died unexpectedly Monday, April 26, 1999, at 10:45 p.m., in the City Hospital of Martinsburg.
She was born Feb. 27, 1926, in Vesta 6, a daughter of the late Alexander and Anna (Schwab) Uhouse.
She was a 1944 graduate of Centerville High School, and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America of Martinsburg, W.Va.
On June 27, 1953, she marriage Kenneth W. "Kenny" Snyder, who died April 15, 1997. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Alex, Bela and William Uhouse; and two sisters, Anne Bowen and Irene Lingis.
Surviving are two brothers, John Uhouse of Venice, Fla., and Michael Uhouse of Smock, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, Fredericktown Hill, Fredericktown, Pa., on Thursday, April 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held on Friday, April 30, at 9:15 a.m., followed by Divine Liturgy in the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church of Brownsville, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Jerome Botsko as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Church Cemetery. Parastas service will be held at 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, in the funeral home.
