Helen Dorothy (Shrinkle) Kostelnik, 90, formerly of Connellsville, died Aug. 21, 2002, in Stafford, Texas. Friends will be received today from 6 to 9 p.m. in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, where a blessing service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist RC Church, Connellsville, with the Rev. Fr. John Butler as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John the Evangelist RC Cemetery, Connellsville. A parish wake service will be held in the funeral home today at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Center, 640 Jackson St., St. Paul, Minn. 55101, or the St. John the Evangelist RC Church, Connellsville, building fund.

Helen Ruth Johnston Hamborsky Lawson, 69, of Tarrs, died Saturday afternoon, Aug. 24, 2002, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. Robert A. "Blooper" Magyor, 58, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Mammoth, lost his 15-year battle with cancer on Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at his home. He was born Oct. 1, 1943, in Mammoth, a son of the late George and Antoinette Klejka Magyor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Robert Magyor, in 1965; and his brother, George Magyor. He previously was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Calumet and AMVETS Post 94 of United. He was a member of the Bridgeport Sportsmen's Club and American Legion of Mount Pleasant. He was the loving father of the following children, Ronald Magyor of Mount Pleasant, David Magyor of Hunker, Tammy Guynn and her husband, John, of Connellsville, and Tracie Magyor and her fiance, Richard Mencer, of Ruffsdale. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Michelle Magyor; his former wife, Doris Geary of White; four grandchildren, Brandon, Adam, Jessica and Bradley Magyor, all of Mount Pleasant; three brothers, Thomas Magyor and his wife, Barbara, of Mount Pleasant, John Magyor and his wife, Wanda, of Pleasant Unity and Ronald Magyor and his wife, Peggy, and a sister, Teresa Lincoln, all of Mount Pleasant; and nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service was held in the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Thomas Lomansey officiating. John Edward Pilato, 28, of Fourth Avenue, Scottdale, died early Sunday morning, Aug. 25, 2002, of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident in East Huntingdon Township. Margaret R. Fiesta, 89, of Connellsville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, in Eicher's Family Home in Normalville. She was born May 25, 1913, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Joseph and Raffella Mary DeLuna Festa. She was a member of St. Rita RC Church and its Christian Mothers Society and Ladies of St. Rita Council No. 64. Margaret was retired from Connellsville State General Hospital, where she was employed as a secretary in the revenue department for 38 years. She is survived by the following nieces and nephews, Jenny Turek, Felecia Hartz, Chuck Haggerty and wife, Nancy, John A. Fiesta and wife, Louise, John R. Fiesta and wife, Judy, all of Connellsville, Laverne Pancella of Florida and Maryann Weltz and husband, Ray, of Valprasio, Ind.; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, John, Phillip, Tony and Sully Fiesta; four sisters, Louise Delsardo, Lucy Isola, Christine Fiesta and Helen Haggerty. Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. First St., West Side, Connellsville, today and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Monday at 9:45 p.m. in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Rita RC Church with the Rev. Father Frank Lesniowski as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Rita Cemetery. St. Rita parish and its Christian Mothers will hold a wake service Sunday evening at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Ladies St. Rita Council No. 64 will conduct a ritual today at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.

Mildred C. (LaJeunesse) Margavage, 74, of Dunbar, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002 at her residence. She was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Cohoes, N.Y., a daughter of the late Lewis and Beatrice (LaPointe) LaJeunesse. She was Catholic by faith. Mildred will be remembered for her many talents which included, beautiful gardens, delicious meals and her kind generosity with family and friends. She also had a love for fishing, Pittsburgh sports and animals, especially her dog, "Justin". Mildred is survived by two sons, Karl Waldner of Pittsburgh and Brian Margavage of Dunbar; two daughters, Dawn Margavage of Minneapolis, Minn. and Joanne Lukas of Peachtree City, Ga.; three brothers, Eugene LaJeunesse of Eustis, Fla., Donald LaJeunesse and wife Wilma and Robert LaJeunesse and wife Kaye, both of Orlando, Fla. Also many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earnest Waldner, and her second husband, Ralph Margavage. John A. "Jack" Ruszkowski, 81, of Mount Pleasant died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, in the IHS, Greensburg. Mr. Ruszkowski was born on Dec. 20, 1920, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Walter and Eleanor Litznarski Ruszkowski. He was formerly employed by Modulas Corp. as a heat treater for 43 years. He was a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church of Mount Pleasant. He was also a member of the VFW, Kosciuszko Club, Polish Falcons and Firemans Club, all of Mount Pleasant. He is survived by his loving family: Mary Frances "Fran" Golnoski Ruszkowski, loving wife of 57 years; two sons, Richard J. Ruszkowski and wife Carol of Jamestown, N.Y., and Michael J. Ruszkowski and wife Susan of Mount Pleasant; a daughter, Jacquelyn Turek and husband Scott of Bridgeville; a brother, Walter Ruszkowski and wife Hilda of Pittsburgh; a sister, Irene Payan and husband Dr. H.M. of Gibsonia; four grandchildren, Laura Ann Centofanto and husband Anthony, Michael Ruszkowski and wife Marcia, Brian Ruszkowski and wife Bridget, and Alexis Turek; a great-grandchild, Kyle Ruszkowski; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two godsons, Jeffrey Scott and Tommy Benson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Chester Ruszkowski; and two sisters, Cecelia Rozanski and Eleanor Ruszkowski; and his stepmother, Kathleen Petrosky Ruszkowski. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Transfiguration RC Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Father Michael W. Matusak as celebrant. A Parish Rosary will be recited in the funeral home Sunday at 6 p.m. Interment will be in the Transfiguration Parish Cemetery, Mount Pleasant.
