Ada U. "Dykes" Barnicle, 67 of Huron OH., formerly of Indian Head, died Tue. July 29,2003 in the Firelands Regional Medical Center, Main Campus, in Sandusky OH.
She was born Feb. 16,1936 in Indian Head a daughter of the late Smith P. and Ada M. Patterson Miller.
Ada has been a resident of Huron OH. for the past 24 years. She was a graduate of the Connellsville High School. She enjoyed Antiques,Old Dolls, Old Horses,Gardening, and Camping in Pennsylvania.
Ada is survived by her husband Joseph Barnicle, 4 sons Michael Pahl of Tallahassee FL., Kenneth Ashley Pahl of Elyria, OH., Lenny Pahl of Huron OH., and Todd Pahl stationed in Japan with the U.S. Navy, a daughter Bonnie McGee of Louisville KY., 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 4 brothers Willis Miller and Archie Miller both of Indian Head, Ned Miller of Youngstown OH., and Thomas Miller of Findlay OH., and 3 sisters Euceba Leighty of Indian Head, Ruie Cavitt of Findlay OH., and Etta Lynch of Scottdale.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a grandson David Pahl, and 5 brothers Daryl Edwin, Halbert,Foster, Stanley, and Argyl Miller and 2 sisters Genevieve and Carol Miller.
Family and friends will be received in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., route 711 Melcroft. Fri. from 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held Sat. at 10:00 AM, in the funeral home. A committal service and interment will follow in the Sparks Cemetery, at Indian Head.

Adam J. Eresh,28, of Acme R.D. #3 died Thursday May 29, 2003. He was born June 17, 1973 in Greensburg, the beloved son of Frank and Marion Anzur Eresh of Acme R.D. #3. He was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. He was employed as a construction worker and he loved fishing. Adam will be truly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother, Michael Eresh of Acme; one sister, Elaine Hanscom and her husband Daniel of Jeannette; his paternal grandmother, Nancy Eresh of North Huntingdon, Pa.; his maternal grandparents, Edwin and Irene Anzur of Rillton and several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Frank Eresh. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Porch Cemetery, Donegal Twp. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., Route 711, Melcroft.

Adam P. Wolk,31, of Acme died Monday, May 24, 2004 at his home following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 11, 1972 in Mount Pleasant a son of Paul and Cathy Nedrow Wolk of Acme. Adam was a graduate of Mount Pleasant Area High School in 1991. He was employed as a bricklayer and was a member of Union Local #9 and Laborers Local #1451. He was a member of the Paradise United Methodist Church. In addition to parents he is survived by his wife Angie Freeman Wolk whom he married on May 7, 1994.; one son, John Wolk at home; one daughter, Megan Wolk at home; one brother, Aaron Wolk of Acme; one sister, Amanda Wolk of Acme; his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Sharon Freeman of Acme; his brother-in-law, Michael Freeman of Acme and many loving family members and friends. Friends will be received from 7-9 P.M. Tuesday and 2-4, 7-9 P.M. Wednesday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., Route 711, Melcroft where services will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Albert"Ab"Gould Hyatt, 93, of Connellsville died Sunday September 14, 2003 in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. He was born September 24, 1909 in Connellsville the son of the late Charles Gould and Edna Pirl Hyatt. "Ab"graduated from Connellsville High School with the class of 1927. He retired from United States Steel Corporation in 1971. He was a member of the Christian Church of Connellsville. He was a life member of the BPO Elks #503 and the Eagles #493 and the Senior Tigers, all of Connellsville. He was a member of King Solomon's Lodge #346 F& AM for 70 years and served as Worshipful Master in 1946, member of Connellsville Royal Chapter #283 for 70 years and served as Most Excellent High Priest in 1942. He was also a member of the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, life member of St. Omer's Commandry #7, Knights Templer of Uniontown, Olivet Council of Greensburg, Consistory of Pittsburgh and a life member of Syria Shrine Temple, Pittsburgh. "Ab" was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by a nephew, Gould W. Orr of Harlem, Georgia; a grandniece, Sharon Wylds of Martinez, Georgia and grand nephew, Matthew Orr of La Grange, Georgia. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Beatrice A. LaRue Hyatt in 1997; two sisters, Helen Williamson in 1993 and Eleanor Orr in 1976. Friends will be received from 2-4,7-9 P.M. Tuesday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Chris Stillwell officiating. Entombment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum. Albert F. Forejt, 97, of Mt. Pleasant, PA passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2003 at Harmon House in Mt. Pleasant where he had resided for 2 years. He had lived on Smithfield Street in Mt. Pleasant for many years. He was born January 25, 1906 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Joseph S. and Anna M. Sidehamer Forejt. He was a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Army serving with The 103rd Engineers serving in North Africa and Italy. He was a member of The American Legion Post and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post of Mt. Pleasant and a former member of the B.P.O. Elks Post 868 all of Mt. Pleasant. He was a retired construction worker with The Burrell Construction Co working with their Amesite Division. He enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant. He is survived by a brother, Dr. Joseph M. Forejt, and his wife, Martha, of Connellsville; a nephew, Leonard L. (Ted) Lint, and his wife, Betty, of Poland, OH; his special friend, Mary Ann Welc; and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. Emily Lint and Mrs. Leona H. Miller. Friends will be received today from 3-7 p.m. at the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 406 E. Washington Street, Mt. Pleasant, where a service will be held Saturday at 9:45 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Hartman officiating. She was born on January 05, 1933 in Kreiger, Cook Twp., a daughter of the late Chester and Mary Lenhart Knupp. She had been a resident of Normalville since 1965. She attended the Millertown Community Church. Althea was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister to her family. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and gardening. Althea is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Don D. Miller, whom she married on February 18, 1950; a daughter, Donna L. Tressler, Of Indian Head; a son, Curtis D. Miller, of Normalville; a granddaughter, Tiffany Rose Clark, and her husband, David, of Normalville; and two sisters, Elizabeth Benedict, and her husband, Andy, of Stahlstown and Zelda McKlveen, and her husband, Robert, of Stahlstown, R.D.#1. She was born August 17, 1931 in Normalville a daughter of the late William C. and Winifred Mary Weaver Brooks. Mrs. Chearney was a retired nurses aide at Frick Hospital. She was a member of the White Community Center and a former member of the Saltlick Twp. VFD Auxiliary. She attended the Buchanan Church of God. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by three brothers, Paul, Herbert and Ernie Brooks. She is survived by her husband, Homer E. Amerigo J. "Mid" Casini, 87 of Connellsville,(Bullskin Twp.) died Wed. July 23,2003 at his home.
He was born Sept 21,1915 in Kiefertown, Fayette County, a son of the late Peter and Amalia Amici Casini.
Mid was a longtime resident of Connellsville. He had worked as a Florist for the Grasso Green House in East Connellsville since 1933. He was a Veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Army. He served in many battles during the war including Tunisia,Sicily,Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Southern France and the Rhineland. Mid was the recipient of many decorations and citations including the WW II Victory Medal, Ribbon American Campaign Medal,Ribbon American Defense Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, the Silver Star, and the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Scottdale American Legion. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Connellsville.
Mid is survived by his wife of 61 years Eva Jean Thomas Casini, whom he married on May 28,1942, 2 sons Peter M. Casini and his wife Lonnie of South Connellsville and Cecil Casini of Connellsville, and a daughter Florence Logston and her husband Donald of Connellsville, 6 grandchildren Kristen Means, Kelly and Michael Casini, Amy Logston, and Jennifer and Jessica Casini, 7 great grandchildren, 3 brothers Raymond Casini of Memphis TN., Virgil Casini and his wife Kitty of Dillinger, and Daniel Casini and his wife Helen of Connellsville, 3 sisters Louise Grasso of Connellsville, Loretta Ceballos of FL., and Natalie Sakowicz of Scottdale.

She was born November 23,1924, in Mill Run, a daughter of Pauline Stout Hutchison of Mill Run and the late Jack Hutchison. Anna had been a resident of Stahlstown since 1977. She was a member of the Krieger Community Church and it's Choir and Ladies Aid Society. In addition to her mother Anna is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Hobart Eutsey, 4 sons Hobart E. Eutsey and his wife Kathy of Scottdale, Thomas G. Eutsey and his wife Sandra S. of Mt.Pleasant, Richard C. Eutsey and his wife Jean of Dunbar Twp., and William K. Eutsey and his wife Kimberly E. of White, and a daughter Patricia L. Anthony Joseph Mangan, 80 of Connellsville, died Monday, March 25, 2002 in Highlands Hospital.
He was born Aug. 31,1921 in Hunker, a son of the late Albert and Josephine Pilato Mangan.
He was a resident of Connellsville since 1947 and was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School in Mt.Pleasant.Prior to his retirement he worked as a Clerk/Ticket Agent for the former B&O Railroad. He was a Veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Connellsville VFW #21 and American Legion # 301. He was also a member of the Connellsville Moose Lodge # 16 for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife Pauline Basinger Mangan, a step son Thomas Vanorsdale and his wife Donna of Hampton VA. 2 grandchildren Vicki Markle of Suffork VA. and Thomas Vanorsdale of Hampton VA., and 3 great grandchildren Brittany Edwards,Gina Marie and Jantz Markle. and 3 brothers Angelo Mangan of Scottdale,Samuel Mangan of Morgantown W.VA., and Albert Mangan of New Jersey.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 2 sisters, Edith Martin and Florence.

Archal R Showman, 84 of Vanderbilt, went to be with the Lord,on Mon. Sept. 16, 2002 while in the UPMC Montifiore Hospital,Pittsburgh.
He was born July 14,1918, in Mill Run a son of the late Ira C. and Effa Shearer Showman.
Archal was a resident of Vanderbilt for the last 64 years. Prior to his retirement he worked as a salesman. He was a Veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Navy,in the South Pacific on the USS Essex which was a CV-9 Aircraft Carrier. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Connellsville where he served as a Past Deacon and was a member of the choir.
Archal is survived by his wife of 63 years Ruth R. Smith Showman, a son Brian A. Showman and his wife Kelly of Vanderbilt and a daughter Janice Critchfield of Star Junction, 5 grandchildren Shelley Bertocci and her husband Cliff and Lori Jacobs all of Perryopolis,Danielle Brown and her husband Troy of Star Junction,Brian A. Showman Jr and Robert C. Showman both of Vanderbilt, and 3 great grandchildren Keana and Chaise Bertocci and Caitlin Jacobs, a brother Marlin Showman of North Carolina and a sister Lorella Showman of Michigan.

Archie Ray Grindle, 78 of Connellsville, died unexpectedly Fri. Sept. 26,2003 in the Highlands Hospital.
He was born July 3,1925 in Confluence a son of the late Archie T. and Edith Anderson Grindle.
Archie was a life long resident of Connellsville. He was a graduate of the Connellsville High School with the class of 1943.He was a Veteran of WW II and the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army Air Force. Prior to his retirement in 1989 Archie worked as a Customer Service Representative for the West Penn Power Co. for 451/2 years. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville.
Archie is survived by his loving wife Anna Mary Sweeney Grindle, with whom he celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary on July 14,2003, a son Timothy R. Grindle and his wife Andrea of Hopwood and a daughter Debra Mastowski and her husband Thomas of Connellsville, 2 grandchildren Keina and Ryan Mastowski, a brother Richard H. Grindle of Murrysville, and his beloved dog Jenny.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 4 brothers Edward Russell, Donald, Charles, and Matthew Grindle.

Military rites will be conducted at the Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held Sun. at 8:45 PM in the funeral home. Arden F. Keslar, 72 of Donegal, died Saturday, March 23, 2002 at his home.
He was born Sept. 19,1929 in Acme a son of the late Forrest I. and Sadie Bungard Keslar.
Arden was a long time resiedent of Donegal and retired in 1993 from Timken-Latrobe Steel where he worked for 36 years as a crane operator. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Arden was a long time and devoted member of the Donegal Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. He served the church in many ways including, along with his wife, as custodians of the church for many years.
Arden is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Doris White Keslar, and by his 2 sons Rex I. Keslar and his wife Deborah of McDonald PA. and Garry E. Keslar and his wife Martha of Stahlstown, his grandchildren Jeffrey,Sean,Ann,Joseph,Jonathan, and Angela Keslar, a sister Hazel Chackan of Acme. and 2 brothers Shelby Keslar of Indian Head and Theodore Keslar of Connellsville.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 2 sisters Mary Catherine Keslar and Luella Anderson, and 7 brothers Morris,Gilbert,Ivan,Josiah,Merle,Wilfred Carl, and Claude Keslar.
Family and friends will be received in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc. route 711 Melcroft Sun. from 6-9 PM and Mon. from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. A prayer will be held Tue. at 10:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Donegal Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, with Rev. Wesley V. Myers officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Donegal Cemetery.

Arthur H. Ruff, 91, of Connellsville died Monday November 24, 2003 in the Greensburg Care Center. He was born February 29, 1912 in Etna, Pa. a son of the late Fred and Catherine Broge Ruff. Mr. Ruff was a graduate of Etna High School in 1930. He received his undergraduate and masters degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. While at Pitt, Art played quarterback and he was the quarterback on the 1934 Rose Bowl team. He was later inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Ind. He was member of the Pitt Golden Panthers and the Pitt Letterman Club. He was a retired teacher and coach in the Connellsville Area School District for 56 years. During that time he served as football and golf coach for many years. Art was also a professional golfer and was a long time member of the Pleasant Valley Country Club. He was also an official and referee for both football and basketball throughout the area and was a member of the Fayette County Coaches Association and the Fayette County Officials Association. Mr. Ruff served his country as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy serving during W.W. II. He was a member of the Connellsville American Legion and VFW and her was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Connellsville. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Dorothy L. Stoll Ruff in 1996 and one daughter, Ronna Lee Ruff in 1977. He is survived by one sister, Lois Ruff Campbell and her husband Dr. George Campbell of South Bend, Ind.; three nieces, Jill Foster and her husband Phil of South Bend, Ind., Beth McFarland and her husband Travis of Memphis, Tenn. and Lynn Schuholz and her husband John of Cincinnati, Ohio and six great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2-5,7-9 P.M. Tuesday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Philip Ramstad officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Connellsville, Pa. in memory of Arthur H. Ruff.
