Beryl M. Reshenberg,84, of South Connellsville formerly of Dunbar Twp died Sunday April 9, 2006 in the Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown. She was born February 21, 1922 in Donora a daughter of the late Freeman and Anna May Pickett Cooper. She was a graduate of the former Dunbar Twp. High School. Mrs. Reshenberg, her husband and family resided on Oglevee Lane for over 50 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Connellsville. She is survived by one daughter, Lois J. Gore of Cincinnati, Ohio; two grandchildren, Leslie R. Gore and his wife Marcy of Fairfield, Ohio and Richard E. Gore of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Donald Reshenberg in 2000; one brother, Thomas Cooper and two sisters, Erma Christopher and Helen McVey. At the family request there will be no public viewing or services. Private interment was in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Arrangements were under the direction of the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville.

Betty B. Zahrobsky, 84, of Mt. Pleasant, R.D.#2, died Sunday, November 16, 2003 in Wellspring at Huntingdon Ridge, Irwin. She was born February 14, 1919 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Carl and Evelyn Hebenthal Barnhart.. Mrs. Zahrobsky was formerly employed at Ames Department Store and she retired from the Lenox Shop in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of the Paradise United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Louis Zahrobsky; one son, Kerry Zahrobsky; two brothers, James and Charles "Bud" Barnhart; and two sisters, Hazel Ruschel and Norma McCloy. She is survived by two sons, Richard L. Zahrobsky, and his wife, Joanne, of Wooddale and Delbert A. Zahrobsky, and his wife, Sandra, of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter-in-law, Amy Zahrobsky, of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren, Cynthia Zahrobsky, of Pittsburgh, Richard Zahrobsky, and his wife, Laurie, of Pittsburgh, Mark Zahrobsky, and his wife, Jennifer, of West Newton, Kevin Zahrobsky, of Mt. Pleasant, Brian Zahrobsky, and his wife, Bobbi, Of Mt. Pleasant, Melissa Davis, and her husband, John, of Mt. Pleasant, Matthew Zahrobsky, and his wife, Rachel, of Mt. Betty Fay Bloom,75, of Latrobe formerly of Connellsville R.D.1 (Dry Hill) died Thursday November 14, 2002 in the Oak Hill Nursing Home, Greensburg. She was born April 19,1927 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Frank and Ethel Hall Bloom. She was employed at the former Connellsville Sportswear for 30 years and she was a member of the Hickory Square United Methodist Church. Her free time was spent taking care of her house flowers and reading. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother Raymond Bloom and a sister Jean Bloom Bushmire. She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Roof and her husband William, Jr. of Latrobe; two grandchildren Beth Ann Larkin and her husband John of Latrobe and William F. Roof of Latrobe; two great grandchildren Brandon and Tyler Larkin; eight brothers and sisters, Merle Bloom and his wife Kay of Cleveland, Ohio, Frank"Junior" Bloom and his wife Lila Mae of Vanderbilt, Robert Bloom and his wife Jenny of Connellsville, Ray Bloom and his wife Patty of Tennessee, Kenneth Bloom and his wife Ellen of Dawson, Melvin Bloom and his wife Jean of Great Falls, Montana, Carolyn Roebuck and her husband Daniel of Massillon, Ohio and Dale " Dutch" Bloom and his wife Marty of Lycippus and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty Jane Flanigan, 87, of Mt. Washington, Ky., formerly of Connellsville died Saturday March 16, 2002 in the Green Meadow Nursing Home, Mt. Washington, Ky. She was born February 17, 1915 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Charles A. and Nelle L. Bryner Crowley. Mrs. Flanigan was a member of the First Christian Church of Connellsville ( Disciples of Christ). She is survived by one son, Richard ( Dick) Flanigan and his wife Nancy of West Allenhurst, N.J.; one daughter, Judy Payer and her husband John of Shepardsville, Ky.; four grandchildren, Raynor, Patrick Flanigan, Donna Hurst and Adam Payer and four great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. "Pat" Flanigan and one sister, Irene Taylor. Friends will be received from 2-4, 7-9 P.M. Tuesday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Larry Hellein officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Betty Jane Nicholson, 78 of Lemont Furnace, died Sunday, November 10, 2002 in the LaFayette Manor,Uniontown.
She was born May 16,1924 in Dunbar, the daughter of the late William Sylvester and Martha Ann Nelson Judy.
Betty was a long time resident of Lemont Furnace. She worked with her husband George, the owner of Blair Plumbing and Heating in Uniontown, as the secretary and bookkeeper, for the last 42 years. Before that she had also worked at the Anchor Hocking Plant in South Connellsville. Betty attended the Pennsville Baptist Church and was a former member of the Dunbar Baptist Church. Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years George H. Nicholson, her loving children Beverly Cooley of Lemont Furnace and Harold L. Nicholson of Confluence, and her grandchildren Larry and Kevin Cooley of Lemont Furnace and Jason Cooley of Uniontown, and Austin Nicholson of Lemont Furnace, a sister Marybelle Leapline of Connellsville, 3 sisters-in-law Audrey Judy of Little Summit, Rosella Judy of Uniontown, and Lillie Judy of West Newton, and numerous nieces,nephews,and friends.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 4 brothers Donald,William,Charles,and Edward Judy.
Family and friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc. 111 E. Green St. Connellsville, Tue. from 2-9 PM. A funeral service will be held Wed. at 11:00 AM, in the funeral home, with Rev. Robert Bixel officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. She was born Nov. 2,1919 in German Twp., Fayette County a daughter of the late Joseph and Nora Connolly Oglethorpe.
Betty was a graduate of the former Dunbar Twp. High School with the class of 1936. She had worked as a secretary for the Anchor Hocking Corp. and later for the Federal Government in the Dept. of Health Education, & Welfare from where she retired in 1978. She was a former member of the former Little Summit United Methodist Church.
Betty is survived by her loving son Nick Veghts and his wife Faye of Naperville IL., 3 grandchildren Angela, Brian, and Bart Veghts, and a great grandson Nicholas Veghts. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 3 brothers Robert, James, and Raymond Oglethorpe, and 5 sisters Nellie DeMott, Mary Klink, Ethel Stanchin, Pauline Morgan, and Beatrice Mongello.

She was born July 20,1915 in Acme a daughter of the late Spurgeon and Mary Jane Whetsel White.
Beulah was a resident of Scottdale for the last 30 years. She was a loving homemaker,mother,grandmother,and great grandmother to her family.
She attended the Christ United Methodist Church in Scottdale and was a member of it's Homemaker's Club.She was also a former member of the Mt.Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Donegal.
Beulah is survived by her loving family, her daughters Shirley Dillon and her husband James of Acme, Betty Miller of Washingtonville OH. and her friend Joe Manley of Letonia OH.,Joyce Dianne Henry and her husband Philip of Stafford VA., and Arlene Keyser of Polk,PA., her sons Harold Keyser and his wife Barbara of Washington VA., and Larry Keyser and his wife Beverly of Scottdale, a daughter-in-law Judith Keyser of Acme, 9 grandchildren,14 great grandchildren, a brother Wade White and his wife Gladys of Mt.Pleasant and a sister-in-law Irma White of Acme.

Ewart, who died on July 10, 1962 and the late Dehlia Acton Ewart who died on June 24, 1960. Carolyn was a graduate of Uniontown High School, Class of 1934 and the Uniontown School of Nursing, Class of 1937. She worked as a registered nurse at Uniontown Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Community Church, Prittstown and she attended the Pennsville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband William Edward Duke in 1988 and one brother, Guy L. Ewart in 1983. She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Barney and Pug Miller of Mount Pleasant ( Bullskin Twp.), Ray Duke of Little Summit and Lillian Duke of Augusta, Ga. and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her nieces, Helen Waller and Catherine Alt of Connellsville and Mary M. Johnson and her husband Lester of Pittsburgh and Mary C. Charles C. Miner, 66, of Connellsville died Friday October 3, 2003 at his home. He was born December 4, 1936 in Connellsville the son of the late Anna Christian Miner Garella. Mr. Miner was a graduate of Connellsville High School. He was formerly employed by the Modulus Corporation, Frick Hospital, Gatlings Warehouse and he was employed by Highlands Hospital as a courier for many years. He was a member of St. Rita’s Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, the Knights of Columbus Bowling and Golf Leagues and he was a member of the Slovak Club. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Charlotte DeMott Miner; two sons, Larry Miner and his wife Karen of Oakton, Va. and Brian Miner and his wife Audra of Connellsville; five grandchildren, Angela, Michael, Tyler, Austin and Caleb Miner and three sisters, Madeline Coughenour and her husband Mace of Connellsville, Patricia Lloyd of Pittsburgh and Edith Davis and her husband Chester of Winona Texas. In addition to his mother he was predeceased by one brother, Bruce Miner and one sister, Anna Marie Thrash. Friends will be received from 2-9 P.M. Saturday and Noon-9 P.M. Charles W. "Bill" Smith, 81 of Connellsville(Bullskin Twp.), died Monday, May 3, 2004 at his home.
He was born January 16,1923 in Connellsville a son of the late Charles E. and Alice Mae Hillen Smith.
Bill was a life long resident of the Connellsville area. He was a former coal miner for Eastern Gas & Fuel having worked in the Melcroft mine. He then went to work in a foundry for the Latrobe Foundry Machine and Supply Co. and later retired from there. Bill was a Veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre of action. Bill was a longtime member of the Breakneck Church of God. He served the church as a Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent. He also was a lifetime Elder of the Church and served on various committees.
Bill is survived by his loving family his children Thomas W. Smith and his wife Heather of Connellsville, Richard Blaine Smith and his wife Rose of Westminster MD., and Joan Eutsey of Connellsville, 7 grandchildren Kevin, Sean, Richard, and Matthew Smith, and Steven, Michael, and Jessica Eutsey, and 7 great grandchildren, his brother Clifton Earl Smith of Connellsville, and his sister Pearl Anderson of Melcroft.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Ora Jean Breakiron Smith in 1979, 2 brothers John S. and Delmar Smith, a sister Frances Anderson and an infant sister Elizabeth Smith.

She was born Oct. 12,1956 in Waynesburg a daughter of the late Samuel Earl and Virginia Beryl Prinkey Fullem.
Cheryl was a graduate of Beth Center High School with the class of 1974. She was also a graduate of the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in 1976.
She was a former employee of the Flushing Shirt Factory in Waynesburg and also worked as a substitute teacher at the Connellsville Vo Tech School. She had also worked at Resh's Store in Indian Head. She was a member of the Mill Run Baptist Church.
Cheryl is survived by her nieces and nephews Monica Fullem and her husband Paul Harbarger of Carmichaels, Thomas Fullem and his wife Dina of Ridgway, Brian Fullem and his wife Loretta of Waynesburg, Jeff Fullem and his wife Tracy of Sarver, and Michelle Sukal and her husband Steve of Belle Vernon, and several great nieces.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by 3 brothers Regis, Thomas, and Samuel Keith Fullem.
Family and friends will be received in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc. route 711 Melcroft Fri. from 2-9 PM. A funeral service will be held Sat. at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with Rev. Thomas Bonomo officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery, Mill Run.

Cora E. "Jo" Smith,94, of Mill Run died Thursday August 25, 2005 in the Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown. She was born November 30, 1910 in Bruceton Mills, W.Va. a daughter of the late Lewis and Letitia Kelly Foreman. Mrs. Smith was a loving wife and mother and found great joy in caring for her children and grandchildren. She treasured her friendship with her neighbors in Mill Run where she and her husband raised their family and lived for more than 60 years. She loved flowers, gardening and watching sports and she was an excellent cook. She attended the Indian Creek Baptist Church, Mill Run. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Jay C. "Smitty" Smith in 1986, whom she married in October of 1940; two brothers, Irvin and Junior Foreman and four sisters, Hazel Liston, Ellen Meyers, Elizabeth Hixon and Ethel Wolfe. She is survived by her two children, Kenneth W. Smith and his wife Brenda of Mill Run and Connie Smith Bailey and her husband Alex of Jersey Shore, Pa.; four grandchildren, Debra Boney, Dina Smith, Jay K. Smith and Jennifer Bailey and two great grandchildren, Cora Bailey Getz and Abigail Joy Boney. Mrs. Smith was the last surviving member of the Lewis and Letitia Foreman family. Friends will be received from 2-9 P.M. Saturday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held Sunday at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. John Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery, Mill Run. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Dale M."Dick" Chearney, 73 of Donegal, died Thursday, June 5, 2003 in Westmoreland Regional Hospital,.Greensburg.
He was born April 10,1930 in Acme a son of the late Rudolph and Beulah Snyder Chearney.
Dick was a life long resident of the Donegal area. He worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Wilson Trucking and later worked for Potoka's Service in Mt.Pleasant and retired from there in 1988. He was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Mt.Pleasant American Legion. Dick was a longtime member of the Brown Cemetery Board and was presently serving as it's president. He enjoyed wood working and gardening. Dick was a member of the Valley Brethren Church in Jones Mills.
Dick is survived by his loving wife Shirley A. Monticue Chearney with whom he would have celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on July 21,2003, a daughter Karen Winterhalter and her husband Regis of Donegal, a son Robbie Chearney of Donegal, and a step son Randy Pritts and his wife Awanda of Scottdale, 4 grandchildren Hallie and Christopher Pritts, and Dustin and Shannon Winterhalter, 3 brothers Homer Chearney of Acme, George Chearney and his wife Wilda of Acme, and Herbert Chearney and his wife Donna of Mt.Pleasant, and 2 sisters Phyllis M. Mentzer and her husband Pete of Purcellville MD., and Katherine Jones and her husband James of Pawley Island SC.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Edward Chearney and a sister Velma E. Ash.
