Georgia L. Baker, 83, of Connellsville died Wednesday September 17, 2003 in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. She was born February 11, 1920 in Dawson a daughter of the late George and Josephine Livingston. Mrs. Baker was a graduate of Connellsville High School. She was employed as a secretary for the Connellsville Machine Company for many years. She was a member of the Connellsville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Presbyterian Church USA of Connellsville. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Emmett E. Baker in 2002, one brother and one sister. She is survived by the following nephews and nieces; David Baker and his wife Frances of Scottdale, James Baker and his wife Lois of Scottdale, Donald Baker and his wife Barbara of Mount Pleasant, Jean Loucks of New Stanton, Donna McKetta of Mount Pleasant, Edward, Douglas and Gregory Boyle and their spouses, all of Georgia. Friends will be received from 2-4,7-9 P.M. Friday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Mark Juengel officiating. Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery.

Harry R. Basinger,65, of Connellsville died Friday September 20, 2002 in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. He was born July 2, 1937 in Connellsville a son of the late Clyde, Sr. and Clara Smith Basinger. Mr. Basinger was employed for 29 years by Duraloy-Blawnox and later Duraloy Technologies. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Ellen Hixen and Betty Richter and two brothers, George and Clyde Basinger. He is survived by his wife Janice Brothers Basinger; three children Kelly Knox, Sherry Gemas and her fiancee Timothy J. Garrity and Greg Basinger, all of Connellsville; six grandchildren, April and Jason Bassin, Troy Knox, Jr., Tori Ann Knox and Terri and Christina Gemas; two brothers, Donald Basinger of Connellsville and Robert Basinger and his wife Polly of S. Connellsville; one sister, Janet Shroyer and her husband Marvin of Scottdale. Friends will be received from 2-4,7-9 P.M. Monday and Tuesday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Harry John Fortune, 85 of Dunbar Twp. died Mon. July 21,2003 in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born Dec. 8,1917 in Duquesne, PA. a son of the late Henry and Margaret Stiner Fortune.
Harry had been a resident of Dunbar Twp. since 1966. Prior to his retirement in 1979,Harry worked as a Roll Mill Supervisor for the U.S. Steel Co. at it's Duquesne Works for 35 years. Harry was a Veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a Sergeant in the 8th Air Force stationed in England. He was a Crew Chief on a B-24 Liberator. Harry also served in the Civil Air Patrol for 27 years.
Harry is survived by a son Scott Fortune and his wife Kristie of Tyndall Air Force Base FL. and a daughter Paula Hatter and her husband Dennis of Connellsville, 6 grandchildren Tyler,Jacob,and Samuel Fortune and Stephanie,Erik, and Melinda Sue Hatter, and a sister Margaret Janosko of Duquesne. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Mary Jane Linn.
Family and friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc. 111 E. Green St. Connellsville, Thur. from 10 AM - 4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Blessing Service will be held Fri. at 9:30 AM, in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in the Immaculate Conception R. C. Church, Connellsville, with Rev. Terry Hercik as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Military rites will be conducted at the Cemetery by the Connellsville VFW and American Legion and Trotter American Legion Honor Guard.

Harry T. Wingard Sr., 83, of Connellsville, (Bullskin Twp.), died Saturday, November 22, 2003 in the Frick Hospital, Mt.Pleasant.
He was born December 20,1919 in Bullskin Twp. a son of the late William Wingard and Anna Freiberg Wingard Bush.
Harry was a life long resident of Bullskin Twp. Prior to his retirement he worked for PennDot for 26 years. Harry was an active member of the Bullskin Twp. Senior Center since it's beginning in 1984. He was instrumental in development and building of the Bullskin Twp. Senior Center. Harry was a Charter member of the Pleasant Valley Community Church in Bullskin Twp. He was a Trustee for years and was instrumental in the construction of the new church building. His last project, along with his wife Marie, was the Stepple and music system at the church, which was donated in memory of John and Anna Lilley
Harry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Marie A. Lilley Wingard, whom he married on Sept. 28,1941, his 2 loving sons Randall William Wingard and Dennis Blaine Wingard both of Bullskin Twp., 4 grandchildren Maj. Barry Duane Wingard Jr. of Pittsburgh, Tech. Sgt. Thomas Barry Wingard and his wife Karin of Italy, Jamie Lynn Wingard of Bullskin Twp., and Deina Stewart of Connellsville, 5 great grandchildren, a brother George Bush of FL., and a sister Geraldine Rodkey of Uniontown.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 2 sons Barry Duane Wingard Sr. and Harry T. Wingard Jr. and 2 brothers Ernest Wingard Sr. and William Wade Bush.
Family and friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc. 111 E. Green St. Connellsville Sunday from 7-9 PM and Monday from 2-9 PM. Additional viewing will be held Tuesday from 9 -11 AM, the hour of a funeral service, in the Pleasant Valley Community Church, Bullskin Twp., with Rev. Frank W. Dean officiating. Helen L. Willard, 78, of Glen Burnie, MD, formerly of Indian Head, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA. She was born June 06, 1925 in Indian Head, PA, a daughter of the late James and Ella Sleasman Kunkle. She had lived in Maryland for over fifty years and was a member of the Church of God in Landsdowne, MD. She is survived by her husband, Clarence O. Willard; two sisters, Twila Cramer, of Champion, PA and Ruby Davis and her husband, Rev. Sam Davis, of Dayton, OH; two nephews, Rudy Cramer and his wife, Bonnie and Mark Davis, and his wife, Debbie; two great nieces, Melissa Cramer and Rebekah Cramer. She was predeceased by her first husband, Pete Lima in 1965. Private viewing and services were held at the convenience of the family at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., on Route 711, Melcroft, PA Private interment was held at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Champion, PA.

Irene Bigham, 83, of Mill Run and Normalville died Monday May 24, 2004 in UPMC Passavant Hospital. She was born June 19, 1920 in Indian Head. Mrs. Bigham was a resident of the Mill Run and Normalville areas for all of her life. Early in her life she was employed at the Anchor Hocking Corp. She was a lifelong member of the Mill Run United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher. She is survived by one son, Walter "Wally" Bigham and his wife Shari of Mars, Pa.; three grandchildren Nicole, Michele and Troy and three brothers, Delbert Peck and his wife Ann of Glenwilard, Pa., Ronald Peck of Normalville and Larry Peck and his wife Sue of Mill Run. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Doyle H. Bigham in 1972; two brothers, Merle Peck and an infant brother Ivan and two sisters, Bernice Pilarcik and Joy Zavatsky. Friends will be received form 2-4,7-9 P.M. Thursday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., Route 711, Melcroft where services will be held Friday 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Thomas Bonomo officiating. Irene H. Kiser, 91, of Rector, PA passed away in Latrobe Hospital on Saturday, July 19, 2003. She was born April 16, 1912 in Normalville, PA a daughter of the late Ralph B. and Mary Catherine Henry Ritenour. She had lived at Rector for the past 63 years and was known as a fine cook and baker. She is survived by three sons, Ralph J. Kiser, and his wife, Betty, of Rector, William B. Kiser, Jr., and his wife, Ruth, of Stahlstown and Sheldon K. Kiser, and his wife, Donna, of Rector; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; the following sisters, Eleanor Ansell, Elizabeth Eicher, and Ruth Fowler, of Normalville, PA, Thelma McClintock in California, and Betty McKlveen of Ligonier; three brothers, Clarence Ritenour and Kenny Ritenour, of Normalville and Alonzo Ritenour, of Connellsville. She was predeceased by her husband, William B. Kiser, Sr; two daughters, Lillian Kiser and Shirley Kiser; a sister, Della Mae Schmuck; two brothers, James R. Ritenour and William Eugene Ritenour. James "Dale" Hall Sr., 79, of Indian Head died Tue. July 29,2003 in the Somerset Hospital.
He was born April 24,1924 in Springfield Twp. a son of the late Jesse James and Carrie Gertrude Grimm Hall.
Dale had been a resident of Indian Head since 1955. Prior to his retirement in 1986 he worked as a Carpenter through Union Local #2274 in Pittsburgh. Dale had also been the owner of Hall's Service in Indian Head for many years. He was a Veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Army with the 3013th Engineer Maintenance Company. Dale served in the Pacific Theatre and participated in the battles for New Guinea and the Southern Philippines. He received several decorations and citations including: the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars, the Philippines Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Victory Medal. He was a member of the Donegal VFW, the Donegal American Legion, the Normalville Rod and Gun Club, and was a Life member of the Saltlick Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. He was also a member of the Indian Head Church of God. Dale loved playing the Bass Guitar. He was the Bass Guitar Player for the Country Troubadours for 35 years.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Stella E. Snyder Hall, a daughter Deborah Lynn Hall of Lavansville, a son James D. Hall Jr. and his wife Beronica of Indian Head, 3 grandchildren Amber,Angela, and Aaron Hall, 3 brothers Robert Hall and his wife Betty of Indian Head, Larry Hall and his wife Lillian of Rogers Mill, and Leslie Hall and his wife Jean of Normalville, and 2 sisters Evelyn Barkley of Champion and Viola Prinkey of Mill Run. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 2 sisters Opal Grimm and Jessie I. Hall.
Family and friends will be received in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., route 711 Melcroft, Thur. from 2-9 PM. A funeral service will be held Fri. at 1:00 PM, in the funeral home, with Rev. Ben Tobias officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Saltlick Twp. James J. Driscoll, II, 78, of Connellsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at his home. He was born on September 22, 1924 in Connellsville the son of the late J. Wiley and Mary K. Aldridge Driscoll. He was a life long resident of Connellsville and was a graduate of Connellsville High School in 1942. He was a retired advertising account executive for The Daily Courier of Connellsville for 23 years and The Uniontown Newspapers for 18 years. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 until 1945 in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre and attained the rank of T/Sgt and was the recipient of The Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 21 of Connellsville and was a member, and current secretary of Independent Polish Club an office he has held for 20 years. He was a member of The St. Vincent DePaul R.C. Church at Leisenring. He is survived by a son, Kevin Driscoll, of Connellsville; three daughters, Peggy Striplin, of Birmingham, AL, Patty Callegari of Mobile, AL, and Jamie Shaffer, of Arlington, VA; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Robert Rip (Patricia) Haley, of Ithica, NY. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Francis Driscoll in 1957; a brother, John Wiley Driscoll; and a sister, Kay Reynolds. James Omer Eutsey, 91 of Stahlstown, passed away Fri. April 28, 2006 in the Bethlen Home, Ligonier.
He was born Oct. 14,1914 in White a son of the late James and Marie Bungard Eutsey
Omer had been a resident of Stahlstown since 1947. Prior to his retirement he worked as a Carpenter through the Union. He was a member of the Kregar Community Church.
Omer is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Thelma Mae Ulery Eutsey, his daughter Darlene Hauger of Donegal, his granddaughter Sandy Shaffer and her husband Lury of Donegal, and his great granddaughter Amanda Shaffer of Donegal, his brothers Hobart "Joe" Eutsey and Merle Eutsey both of Stahlstown, his sisters Vernie Hauger of Ligonier, Nora Nicklow of FL., Dorla Wright of Charleroi, and Ann Myers of Fl., and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Omer was predeceased by a daughter Audrey G. Eutsey, a sister Mary Krienbrook, and 3 brothers Gilbert Eutsey, and twin brothers Gerald and Gene Eutsey.

Jennie Marie Krumanacker, 74 of South Connellsville, died Thursday, November 20, 2003 in Westmoreland Regional Hospital Greensburg.
She was born February 5,1929 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Leo A. and Bessie Grimm Glover.
Jennie was a life long resident of the Connellsville area. She was a graduate of the Connellsville High School with the class of 1947. Jennie was a member of the former Central Methodist Church in Connellsville where she was the Organist, a member of the Choir, and Dean of the Bible School. She was currently a member of the Central Fellowship Church in Connellsville where she had been the Pianist and Organist, a member of the Choir, and had been the Chairman of the Music Committee. In addition to being involved in music at church, Jennie also sang in the Connellsville and Uniontown Choral Groups and was a member of the former Shades of Harmony Trio. The Trio sang in many area churches and in the Lions Club Minstrel Shows.
Jennie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Burton Paul Krumanacker, 2 sons David Paul Krumanacker and his wife Emily of Cameron WV., Donald Lee Krumanacker and his wife Shirley of Connellsville, a daughter Debra Marie Provance of Franklinton NC., 5 grandchildren David Paul Krumanacker Jr. of Pittsburgh, Douglas Scott Krumanacker of Mt. Pleasant, Timothy Drew Krumanacker of Connellsville, Debra Marie Cook of Wilkinsburg, and David Lee Cook of Penn Hills, and 3 great grandchildren Brandon, Jeremy, and Joshua Krumanacker. Jennie was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Family and friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc. 111 E. Green St. Connellsville Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Sunday from 12 Noon-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM, in the funeral home, with Pastor Ray Keefer officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.

Jerald Alan Partridge, Jr., 24, of South Connellsville died Tuesday July 19, 2005. He was born September 12, 1980 in Meridian, Mississippi a son of Jerald Alan Partridge of Meridian, Mississippi and his two mothers, Theresa McGowin Partridge and Dr. Mary Beth Krafty of Connellsville. Jerald was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School, Class of 1998 and he was a self-employed truck driver. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Beth Ann Murphy Partridge; his sons, William and Brandon Partridge and his future baby due on or about Thanksgiving; one sister, Shannon Partridge and her husband Lloyd Murphy and their children, Andrew and Aidan all of Connellsville; his maternal grandfather, Addison Eugene Peterman of Meridian, Mississippi; his paternal grandmother, Louise Partridge of Meridian Mississippi and his special friend, Annabelle Sanner. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, DeLois Peterman and his paternal grandfather, Grady Partridge. John W. Nesbitt, 89, of Bath N.Y., formerly of Connellsville, Pa. died Tuesday June 3, 2003 in Bath N.Y. He was born August 19, 1913 in Connellsville a son of the late William M. and Fannie Dull Nesbitt. Mr. Nesbitt had been a resident of Bath N.Y. since 1999 and had lived in Connellsville all of his life prior to moving. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School, Class of 1933. He was retired from Allegheny Power where he was employed for 45 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during W.W. II and he was a member of the First Baptist Church, Connellsville. He is survived by his wife, Lois A. Cross Nesbitt; Two sons, William Nesbitt and his wife Lisa of Stratford, Wisc. and David Nesbitt and his wife Benita of Bath, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and one sister, Frances " Curl" Guzlas of St. Petersburg, Fla. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one brother, Robert Harrison Nesbitt and two sisters, Ruth Poole and Mary Jean Reshenberg. Friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville Friday from 2-4, 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with William Nesbitt, son of Mr. Nesbitt, officiating. Interment services, conducted by Rev. Larry Hellein, will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Keuka Healthcare Foundation, 7571 State Route 54, Bath N.Y.

Joseph M. Kurtz Sr., 91 of Connellsville, died Sunday, September 22, 2002 in Highlands Hospital.
He was born April 22,1911 in Connellsville a son of the late Albert and Etta Black Kurtz.
Joseph was a graduate of Connellsville High School and the VMI (Virginia Military Institute. He continued his education at Boston University and Harvard University and received Degrees from both of those schools.
He was a Veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Army Air Crops.He also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and retired from there with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Joseph was, for many years, the owner of J.M. Kurtz Jewelers in Connellsville, until he retired in 1978. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Connellsville. He was also a member of the Connellsville VFW #21, the Connellsville BPO Elks # 503, and the Sons of the American Revolution.
Joseph in survived by his wife Ruth M. Mulvihill Kurtz, a son Joseph M. Kurtz Jr. and his wife Shelia of Vanderbilt,and a grandson Justin Kurtz of Vanderbilt. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his 1st wife Ann Rankin Kurtz and a sister Dorothy Straub.
Family and friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc. 111 E. Green St. Connellsville Wed. from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held Thur. at 11:00 AM,in the funeral home,with Rev. Dr. Monte W. Holland officiating.. A committal service and interment will follow in the Addison Cemetery.
