Judith D. "Judy" Jobes, 57 of South Connellsville, died Thursday, September 11, 2003 in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg.
She was born Oct 29,1945 in Connellsville a daughter of Viola McNamara Kessler of Connellsville and the late Charles Vernon Kessler.
Judy was a life long resident of Connellsville and a graduate of the Connellsville High School with the class of 1963. She worked for the Connellsville Shop & Save and also had worked for the former Foodland in Connellsville.
In addition to her mother Judy is survived by her husband of 27 years Douglas A. Jobes, 3 daughters Stacey Natale and her husband Mark of Uniontown, Jessica Kimberlin and her husband Jack of Connellsville, and Ashley Jobes of South Connellsville, and a son Steve Jobes of Beaver, a sister Sharon Thompson and her husband Harry of Connellsville and a brother Charles Kessler of Connellsville.
In addition to her father she was predeceased by 2 sisters Carole J. Costello and Gloria Kessler.
Family and friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc. 111 E. Green St. Connellsville, Sat. from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Sun. from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, the hour of a funeral service, in the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Byron Tate Fulton and Rev. Dennis Cox co-officiating. Katherine Opal Fosbrink, 82 of South Connellsville, died late Mon. Sept. 23, 2002 in the Fencil's Personal Care Home, Connellsville.
She was born April 14,1920 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Charles A. and Mae N. Sleasman Martin.
Katherine was a life long resident of Connellsville. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Connellsville and it's Win One Class.Katherine had also participated in M.A.R.P.H. for 20 years.
She is survived by 3 sons Richard A. Fosbrink and his wife Elaine Dienes of South Connellsville, Larry L. Fosbrink and his wife Sally Wilson of Uniontown, and Bruce E. Fosbrink of Connellsville, 2 grandchildren Donna J. and Richard L. Fosbrink both of South Connellsville, and 2 sisters Ella Mae Anderson of Zellwood FL. and Lela F. DeaVer of Connellsville, and a sister-in-law Nellie Fosbrink of Connellsville.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Clyde "Zeke" Fosbrink on July 11, 2002, and a son Charles Fosbrink.

Larry Dale King, 54 of Indian Head, died Sunday, July 20, 2003 at his home.
He was born June 20,1949 in Ohiopyle a son Winona Deanne Friend King of Markleysburg and the late Ray Samuel King.
Larry was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School with the class of 1967. He had been a resident of Indian Head for the last 12 years. Prior to his retirement he worked as a Carpenter through Union Local #2274 in Pittsburgh. He was a social member of the Donegal VFW, the Donegal American Legion, and the Fairview Aide Society in Connellsville.
In addition to his mother, Larry is survived by his loving wife Barbara Ilene Geary King, 3 sons Larry Dale King Jr. of Jacksonville FL., Brandy Dale King and his wife Angela and Thomas Wayne Nickelson and his wife Penny all of Connellsville, and a daughter Tammy Lynn Onusko and her husband Matthew of Connellsville, 8 grandchildren Mallory and Matthew Onusko, Tommi, Arik, and Aaron Nickelson, and Cameron, Jamie, and Christian King, 6 sisters Connie Snyder and her husband Donald and Kathryn Hensel and her husband Thomas all of Connellsville, Lisa Rishel and her husband Bob of Markleysburg, Carol Miller and her husband Larry of Normalville, Rella Pritts and her husband Arnold of Indian Head, Betty Miner and her husband Ronald of Mill Run., and 3 brothers Gregory King and his wife Roxann and James King all of Confluence, and Ray Samuel King Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Indian Head, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Linda L. Shaulis Sink, 78, of Acme, went to be with the Lord on Wed. May 19, 2004, while in the Patriot Manor Nursing Home in Somerset.
She was born Sept. 15,1925 in Somerset a daughter of the late Harvey E. and Ella Sleasman Shaulis.
Linda had been a resident of Acme since 1974. She worked as a seamstress for Somerset Manufacturing and later for Fleetwood Manufacturing from where she retired in 1974. Linda was a member of St. Raymond of the Mountain R.C. Church in Donegal. Linda greatly enjoyed her hobbies of sewing and craftwork.
Linda is survived by he loving husband of 32 years John J. "Guy" Sink, a brother Thomas R. Shaulis and his wife Patricia of Bakersville, 3 sisters Ethel Darby of Berlin, Gertrude Nicholson of Mill Run, and Viola Barkman of Rockwood.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother Walter Shaulis and 2 sisters Ada Dunmeyer and Bessie Ross.

She is survived by three children, Mary Lou Hamborsky and her husband Paul of Connellsville, Daniel Wayne Firestone and his wife Cairn of Mount Pleasant(Bullskin Township) and Norma Sue Soliday and her husband Barry of Connellsville, 12 grandchildren, Christine DeSensi, Vincent, Timothy, Charles and Harry Hamborsky, Greg Firestone, Frank Firestone, Sarah Hall, Matthew Firestone, Becky Leonard, Missy Beucher and Dr. Paul Means, numerous Great-Grandchildren and several Great-Great Grandchildren, one sister, Loretta Pearl Coffman of Warren, Ohio. Luetta Fern Monticue, 91 of Jones Mills, died Monday, June 2, 2003 in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg.
She was born Sept. 17,1911 in Jones Mills a daughter of the late William and Lucinda Bittner Keller.
Luetta was a life long resident of Jones Mills. She was a graduate of the former Hurst High School. Prior to her retirement she was a cafeteria worker with the Mt.Pleasant School District at the Donegal Elementary School. She was a member of the Millertown Community Church and it's Willing Workers and was also a Sunday School Teacher. Luetta also attended the Mt. Nebo Church of God and was a member of the choir and also taught Sunday School.
She is survived by her 2 loving sons Valjean Monticue and his wife Ethel of Greensburg and Verdane Monticue and his wife Dottie of Mt.Pleasant, 4 grandchildren Charles"Butch" Johnson and his friend Jen Barrette of Jones Mills, Rhonda Maszgay of Mt.Pleasant, Valerie Miles and her husband Stephen of Florida., and Brian Monticue of Michigan, and 3 great grandchildren Charlie and Danny Johnson, and Missy Maceyko, and 2 sisters Genevieve Witt of Donegal and June Weyant of Clinton.

She was born June 18,1929 in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late William and Catherine Carson Jordan.
Lydia had been a resident of Mt.Pleasant since 1992. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister to her family.
Lydia is survived by her husband of 50 years Herbert C. Shawley, 5 daughters Florence A. White and her husband James and Marion L. Shawley all of Mt.Pleasant, Catherine V. Johnson and her husband James of Jeannette, Deborah J. Enberg and her husband Randy, and Almeda C. Ober of Jones Mill, 2 sons Herbert C. Shawley Jr. and his wife Cindy of Somerset, and William H. Shawley and his wife Pat of Mt.Pleasant, 18 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, a brother Andrew Jordan and his wife Betty of Stahlstown, and a sister Catherine McLaughlin of North Carolina.

Marjorie Spiker Batta, of Connellsville died Tue. May 4, 2004 in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg.
She was born in Uniontown a daughter of the late Dewey and Grace Thorne Spiker.
Marjorie was a graduate of the former Dunbar Twp. High School with the class of 1941. Prior to her retirement she worked as a Telephone Operator for AT&T for 20 years. She attended the Presbyterian Church.
Marjorie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Paul T. Batta, her daughter Virginia Dodds of White Post VA., her sons William Batta of Connellsville and Robert Batta of Wisconsin, 2 grandchildren Samantha Shoemaker of Connellsville and Matthew Batta of Wisconsin, and 2 great grandchildren Hailey and William Shoemaker of Connellsville, 2 half brothers Donald and Howard, and 2 half sisters Lorraine and June Ann.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother William Spiker and a half brother Charles.
It was Marjorie's request that there be no viewing or services for the public. Donations made be made to the Champion Christian School 2166 Indian Head Rd. Bigam of Mill Run and the late Linda Aker Bigam. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School, Class of 1991. He was employed by the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy at Fallingwater. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves. He was also a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church, Mill Run. In addition to his father he is survived by one brother, Michael Bigam and his wife Tammy of Columbus, Ohio and one sister, Christine Nicholson and her husband Kenneth"Chip". She was born November 28, 1905 in Mount Pleasant a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Shedlock. Mrs. Dzurica was a member of the Visitation Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the Rosary Altar Society. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Michael Dzurica; one son, Raymond Dzurica; two sisters, Rose Lovis and Josephine Smelko and one brother, Joseph Shedlock. She is survived by three children, Mary Lou Czekaj and her husband Thomas "Bucky", Michael Dzurica and his fiancée Marie Tedrow and James Dzurica and his wife Kathleen, all of Mount Pleasant; four grandchildren, Debbie Monfette and her husband Stan of New Hampshire; Mark Czekaj of Mount Pleasant, Julie Tinney and her husband Robert of Greensburg and James R. She was born September 04, 1926 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late William and Calantha Bales Hilsen. In her earlier years she was a supervisor of Bell Telephone Operators in Connellsville and was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1944. She was a member of The Albright United Methodist Church for over 50 years and previously had belonged to The Central Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Benjamin F. Lincoln, Jr.; a son, Barry Lee Lincoln, and his wife, Joann, of Alexandria, VA; two grandsons, Phillip Joseph Lincoln and Jeremy Patrick Lincoln; a brother, William Donald Hilsen and a sister, Betty Jane Hilsen, both of West Covina, CA. Private visitation and services were held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Dr. Byron Tate Fulton officiating. Arrangements were handled by the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green Street, Connellsville, PA Entombment was held at Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
