Evelena Moser
Evelena Fike Moser, 88, of (Whitehouse),Smithfield, Pa., died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born June 17, 1912, in Friendsville, Md., daughter of the late John R. Fike and Mollie Lytle Fike.
In addition to her parents, Evelena was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Moser; three brothers; and three sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was a member of the Christian Church of Friendsville, Md.
Surviving are seven children, John G. Moser and wife, Delores of McClellandtown, Pa., Lelia Moser, at home, Helen Dillow and husband, Gerald of Smithfield R.D. 1, Pa., Betty Miller of Smithfield, James Moser of Smithfield R.D. 1, Mary Lou Kelley and husband, John of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Linda Kinney of Quartzsite, Ariz.; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and ten great great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today until 2 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Wayne Sawyer and the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
Kathryn Nedley
Kathryn Nedley, 93, of Eighty-Four, Pa., formerly of Juniata, died Friday, December 1, 2000 in the Humbert Lane Nursing Home, Washington, Pa.
She was born August 10, 1907, in Leith, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Mary Stanya Marcinek.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Nedley in 1989; four sisters, Betty Frankos, Margaret Karkolis, Annie Frankos, and Mary Sosnak; and four brothers, Andrew, John, William, and Joseph Marcinek.
Kathryn was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She had resided in Eighty-Four since 1989 and was a member of the Memory Chapel of Vanceville and a former member of the Church of the Open Door in Connellsville.
She is survived by three daughters: Dorothy Miller and her husband Otto of Ohio, Evelyn Moses and her husband Thornton of Willowick, Ohio, and Geraldine Prijatelj and her husband Charles of Eighty-Four; six sons: Charles J. Nedley and his wife Shirley of Florida, Ernest E. Nedley and his wife Doris of Uniontown, Ronald E. Nedley and his wife Rosemarie of Fairfax, Va., Roger L. Nedley and his wife Georgianne of Willowick, Ohio, Thomas R. Nedley and his wife Sandra of Mentor, Ohio, and William M. Nedley of San Jose, Calif., 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steve Marcinek of Uniontown and George Marcinek of Willowick, Ohio; and a sister, Helen Geary of Connellsville.
Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green St., Connellsville today and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Robert Drodge officiating.
A Committal Service and interment will follow in the Bowman Flatwoods Cemetery.
Ethel P. Provance
Ethel Pearl (Stallard) Provance, 87, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on Friday, December 1, 2000, in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born in Seatontown, Pa., on April 25, 1913, daughter of the late Robert N. and Cora B. Brown Seaton.
She was a member of Central Christian Church and The Friendship Class, and a member of Uniontown Chapter 263, O.E.S.
She was a retired employee of Metzlers Department Store with 35 years service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands: Lloyd T. Stallard Sr., and Hibbert Provance; and two sisters, Madeline Bosley, and Frances Roderick.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Neil (Virginia Lee) Armstrong of Wallingford, Conn.; and a son, Lloyd (Ted) Stallard Jr., and wife Joane of Wayne, N.J.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lewis E. Seaton of Rock Hill, N.C.; and a sister, Roberta Bowie of Morgantown, W.Va.
Friends will be received in THE JAMES D. BARNETT FUNERAL HOME, 196 West Main St., Uniontown, Pa. today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with Rev. Tommy Garrison officiating.
Interment in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
Uniontown Chapter 263, O.E.S. will hold services today at 7:30 p.m.

Kenneth I. Reeves
Kenneth I. Reeves, 89, of Center Street, Millsboro, Pa., died on Saturday, December 2, 2000 at 10:45 a.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital.
He was born November 26, 1911 in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of the late John and Viola Sargeant Reeves.
He was a member of the Clarksville Christian Church.
Mr. Reeves was a retired barber having owned and operated a barbershop in Fredericktown for 45 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, a Tech 4, who served in the European Theater and the Asiatic Pacific Theater in the Phillipines, and he received two bronze stars.
He was a member of the Hanson-Cole American Legion 391 of Fredericktown.
On June 29, 1936, he married Catherine Reagan Reeves, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Catherine Gavlik of Washington, Pa. and Diane Pelkey of Fredericktown, Pa.; six grandchildren: Lora Kreps of Pittsburgh, Lisa Gavlik of Pittsburgh, Robert Reeves Gavlik of Oakdale, Pa., Erin Beyer of Fredericktown, Amy Jones of Waynesburg and Brett Pelkey of Carmichaels; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Thomas; three brothers, Ernest Reeves, Lawrence Reeves, and Sheldon, who died in infancy; and a great-grandson, Chad Schmidfetter.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 1 to 9 p.m. Monday in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, Fredericktown Hill, 42 Bank Street, Fredericktown, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2000, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Domenick Sgro officiating. Interment in North Ten-Mile Cemetery. Full Military Rites will be accorded at graveside by the Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391 of Fredericktown.
Charles Sabo
Charles Sabo, 78, of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, in Mount Macrina Manor.
He was born April 24, 1922, in New Salem, Pa., son of the late Charles and Anna Berdar Sabo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda; and two sisters, Annie Gazella and Ann Panuta.
Charles was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army, a member of the UMWA District 2, Local 6321, and a retired employee from U.S. Steel at the Robena Mine.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Spirnak Sabo; three children, Charles Sabo and Lyn, Charles serves with the USAF at the Langley Air Force Base, Virginia Beach, Va., and Susan Papa and Phillip and Michael Sabo and Terry, all of McClellandtown; five grandchildren, Charles David and Daniel Edward Sabo, Stacey and Stefani Papa and Michael Sabo; one great-grandson, Taylor Sabo; four sisters and two brothers, Sophie Wydo of Uniontown, Helen Karwatske of Messmore, Julia Barnhart of McClellandtown, Mike Sabo of Binghamton, N.Y., and Margaret Willis and John Sabo, both of McClellandtown.
Funeral arrangements were private and were under the direction of the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem.
Interment followed in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery, New Salem.
Joseph W. Szewczyk
Joseph William "Wimpy" Szewczyk, 81, of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, December 1, 2000 in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born January 3, 1919, in Oliver 3, Pa., son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Masko) Szewczyk.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Ann Krozel, Pauline Czech, and Catherine Homa; and brothers, Stanley Szewczyk and infant Frank Szewczyk.
Mr. Szewczyk was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.
A graduate of North Union High School, he was a member of UMWA District 2. He was a coal miner, retired from Gateway Coal Company, and the former U.S. Steel Corporation.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Ann P. (Kelley) Szewczyk; two brothers, Michael Szewczyk and wife Thelma of Hickory Hills, Ill., and John Szewczyk and wife Doris of Uniontown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in THE HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 139 West Fayette Street, Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday, December 4, 2000 until 9 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph R.C. Church with Rev. Fr. Alexander Pleban as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Mary E. Tabacsko
Mary E. (Spencer) Tabacsko, 80, of Shoaf, Pa., died Saturday, December 2, 2000, in the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born May 13, 1920, in Indiana County, Pa., daughter of the late Floyd Spencer and Loretta Pierce Spencer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter George Tabacsko; two daughters, Donna Tabacsko, and Georgetta Tabascko; a son, Walter George Tabacsko, Jr.; two sisters: Sarah Steffler and Carrie Spencer; and two brothers, Floyd and Clyde Spencer.
Surviving are three children: Donald D. Tabacsko and his wife Cindy of Haydentown, Pa., Mary Ann Townsend and the late Arnold Ferd of Haydentown, Pa., and Robert Tabacsko and his wife Patty of Fairchance, Pa.; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Shirley Morrison and her husband James, Irma Ruck and her husband Paul, and Ada Miller, all of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; two brothers, Ralph Spencer of Franklin, Pa., and Dean Spencer and his wife Donna of Lockport, N.Y.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, December 5, 2000, from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow in Jacobs Lutheran Cemetery.

Rose Marie Busko, 72, of Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, in Kennesaw, Ga.
Friends will be received at Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and until 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Clara C. Critchfield Chambers
Clara C. Critchfield Chambers, 96, of Alexandria, Virginia, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, in Rockville, Maryland.
She was born September 21, 1904, in Vanderbilt, Pa., a daughter of William C. Critchfield and Sarah Mae Herbert Critchfield.
Her husband, Raymond Sturgis Chambers, two brothers, William G. "Brother" Critchfield II and Clarence "Critchy" Albert Critchfield, a sister, Irene Lou Critchfield Kramer, and her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sisters: Elizabeth "Betty" Critchfield Boernke of Bloomington, Minnesota, and Barbara Jean Critchfield Neely of Kennewick, Washington; and eight nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held Monday morning, March 26, at 11 a.m. in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa. The Rev. Kenneth Jones will officiate.
