Ella Mae Hart Rhodes, 80, of Morgantown, West Virginia, formerly of Connellsville, who was born in Normalville, Pa., died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown.
She is survived by her loving children: Bonnie Hart Sines and her husband, Kenneth Sines, of Nemacolin, Pa., and Harold Hart of Connellsville, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers: Clyde Hart of Connellsville, Harry Hart and Ralph Hart both of Ravenna, Ohio.
Friends will be received in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 29, until 11 a.m.
R. Kenneth Roby
Robert Kenneth Roby, 87, of Latrobe, Pa., passed away Friday, May 25, 2001, in Greensburg Care Center.
He was born July 5, 1913, in the Uniontown, Pa., area, the second son of Isaac Frank Roby and Gertrude Jefferies Roby.
Ken was retired from American Cyanamid Company where he was the Plant Manager of the "cap works".
He was an avid golfer and bridge player with memberships at Latrobe Country Club and Latrobe B.P.O. Elks 907.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Newingham Roby, in 1987, three brothers, James, George, and John Roby, and his parents.
Surviving are two daughters; Lenore Potthoff and Georgia Himler and her husband, Gary Himler; four grandchildren: William Potthoff and his wife, Melissa, Ginger and her husband, Todd Link, Heidi and her husband, David Conrad, and Gretchen Himler; and one great grandson, Luke Conrad.
Visitation will be held at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier Street, Latrobe, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held Tuesday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Aimee W. Twigg officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, 1204 Ligonier Street, Unity Township, Latrobe.
Jack Thornton
Jack Thornton, 73, of McClellandtown, Pa., died Saturday morning, May 26, 2001, in his home.
He is survived by his wife, Henrietta English Thornton, and six children.
Arrangements will be announced by the Muriel E. Lantz Funeral Home, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa.
Bradley W. Tiberi
Bradley W. "Brad" Tiberi, 17, of Keisterville, Pa., died Friday, May 25, 2001, in Uniontown Hospital.
He was born August 30, 1983, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Paul Tiberi Jr. and LouAnn LaMonica Tiberi of Keisterville.
Brad was a Senior at Uniontown Area High School and an avid basketball player.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Patsy LaMonica and Anna Tressa LaMonica, and his paternal grandparents, Paul Tiberi Sr. and Susan Lecorochick Tiberi.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister, Pam and her husband, Jeremy Bobbish, of Smithfield, Pa.; a brother, Randy Tiberi and his wife, Celesta, of Palmer-Adah, Pa.; uncles and aunts: Phil and John LaMonica, Rita Groves, Maryann Repon, Donna Kutek, and Jim Tiberi; nieces and nephews: Monica, Randy Jr. and Hillary Tiberi, Cecila and Jay Bobbish; and his girlfriend, Racine Richter.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., 20 North Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 30, until 11 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass follows at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Republic, with Rev. Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Parish Wake Service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m.
Martha Fetsko Vencile
Martha "Bubba" Fetsko Vencile, 80, formerly of Connellsville, Pa., died Friday, May 25, 2001, in Fairchance, Pa., comforted by her family.
She was born January 12, 1921, in Monarch, Pa., daughter of Thomas Fetsko and Mary Kosisko Fetsko.
Martha was a member of St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville and its Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
She was also Treasurer of the Connellsville Towers for many years.
Prior to her retirement she was formerly employed by Murphy Mart and later by Ames Department Store.
Her husband, Andrew Vencile, six brothers, Steve, Thomas, John, Joseph, George and Edward Fetsko, three sisters, Agnes Churray, Margaret Balena, Helen Steich, and her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by five children: Joanne and her husband, Chuck Brizzoli, of Coraopolis, Pa., John Venicle and his wife, Loria, of Hamden, Connecticut, Richard Vencile of Fort Myers, Florida, Marcella "Marcie" and her husband, Lawrence Loyal, of Connellsville, Pa., Michelle and her husband, H. Thomas Broadwater, of Fairchance, Pa.; eight grandchildren: Michael Mattiola and his wife, Jody, Kenneth Vencile and his wife, Jennifer, Lesley Milburn, Tiffany DeAndrades, Mark Loyal and his wife, Kristi, Todd Loyal, Jason Broadwater, and Andrew Broadwater; two great-grandchildren: Samantha Clark and Nicholas Clark; a sister, Irene Kozlovich of Bayonne, New Jersey; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Genevieve Logan.

Interment will follow in St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Cemetery, Connellsville.

Louis J. Volpe
Louis J. Volpe, 87, of Grays Landing, Pa., died Friday, May 25, 2001, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
He was born October 25, 1913, in Martin, Fayette County, Pa., son of Joseph Volpe and Angeline Cupp Volpe.
Mr. Volpe was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Masontown.
He was a Coal Miner retired from Nemacolin Mine, a licensed Ham Radio Operator, had served as an Auditor for Nicholson Township, and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was a member of United Mine Workers of America District 2 and the former Moose Lodge.
Above all else he was a loving Husband, and devoted Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather.
His parents, a grandson, Donald J. Hannah Jr., a brother, Nathan "Najoe" Volpe, and several sisters preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred L. Bohan Volpe, with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage on May 5; two daughters: Mary Ann and her husband, Don Hannah, of Geneva, Ohio, and Angela Oleski of Concord, California; three grandchildren: Donan M. Hannah, Trena Lee Hannah, and David Anthony Oleski; three great-grandchildren: Hannah Leigh Sposito, Amelia J. MacWilliams, and Cody Oleski; a sister-in-law, Patricia Volpe; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 29, until 9:45 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, with Rev. Fr. James F. Bump as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
Carol Ludwig Wamsley
Carol Ann Ludwig Wamsley, 59, of Kingwood, West Virginia, and formerly of Moffett, Pa., died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
She was born December 21, 1941, in Point Marion, Pa., daughter of Richard and Grace Ludwig Sypolt of Point Marion and the late Oscar Ludwig.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Wamsley on June 22, 1976.
She is survived by two daughters: Michelle Renee and her husband, Wayne Austin, and Janet Sue Wamsley both of Kingwood; four grandchildren: Johnny Lee Lipscomb, Carol Grace Taylor, Jenna Sue Wamsley, Christina Renee Austin; a brother, Fred Ludwig and his wife, Kathie, of Navarre, Ohio; a sister, Betty Jane Grochawski and her husband, Gary, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois; niece, Julie Ludwig of New York, New York; and nephew, Jeff Ludwig of Navarre, Ohio.
Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, 15 Main Street, Point Marion, Pa., today, May 27, until 2 p.m. when Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mildred T. Martin officiating.
Interment follows Wolf's Cemetery, Dilliner, Pa.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Edward Wharton
Edward Wharton, 99, of Harmony, a self-employed Farmer for many years in Portersville, Pa., who was born in Warwood, West Virginia, died Friday, May 25, 2001, in Evergreen Nursing Center, Jackson Township.
He is survived by two nieces: Janis Altdorfer and Christina Walzl both of Pittsburgh, Pa.,; and three grandchildren.

Elizabeth Malago Baca
Elizabeth Louise "Dolly" Malago Baca, 56, of Crabtree, who was born in Uniontown, Fayette County, Pa., died Thursday, October 5, 2000, as a result of complications of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
She is survived by her husband, Santo Baca; daughters: Sandra and husband Harry Murtha of Greensburg, Pa., and Michelle Baca of Orlando, Fla.; granddaughters who were named after her: Kristen Elizabeth Murtha and Rachel Louise Murtha; brothers: Albert Malago Jr. and wife, Janet, of Manor, Pa., Ron Malago of Greensburg, Pa., and Richard Malago of Canfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
