Margaret K. Shmigalsky
Margaret Kostelnik Shmigalsky, 93, formerly of Trotter, Pa., died Wednesday, April 11, 2001.
She is survived by two sons: Michael Shmigalsky and his wife, Donna, of Connellsville, Pa., and Ronald Shmigalsky and his wife, Joyce, of Dunbar, Pa.; grandsons: Michael Shmigalsky Jr., Mark Shmigalsky, Marty Shmigalsky, and Todd Shmigalsky; granddaughter, Trudie Shmigalsky; one great-grandson; sister, Marion Kostelnik Harvey and her husband, James Harvey, of Connellsville; and brothers: John Kostelnik of Livingston, Tennessee, Anton Kostelnik of California state, and Jerome Kostelnik and his wife, Erma, of Dunbar, Pa.
Friends will be received in the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home Inc., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., today (Easter Sunday) from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, April 17, until 9:30 a.m.
George Harold Yoder
George Harold Yoder, 93, of Scottdale, who was born in Somerset, Pa., died Friday morning, April 13, 2001, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Mabel M. Horner Yoder; children: Carole Yoder Hough of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Donald R. Yoder and his wife, Jane, of Scottdale R.D.1, Pa.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Anna Mary Cunningham Yoder of Scottdale R.D.1; sisters: Thelma Yoder Bowers and Frances Yoder Bruner both of Somerset; brother, Elwood Yoder and his wife, Rosie, of Rockwood, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 17, until 11 a.m.
George Ray Yorko
George Ray Yorko, 66, of Carmichaels, Pa., died Friday, April 13, 2001, in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
He was born August 21, 1934, in Mather, Pa., son of the now late Stephen Yorko and Margaret McDowell Yorko.
Mr. Yorko was a 1954 graduate of Jefferson High School and lived his early life in Mather.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was a Budget Analyst for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation at the Uniontown, Pa., office for 30 years.
After retirement from PennDOT he drove bus for Haul-It Inc. in Carmichaels and also worked as a Ranger at Lakeview Golf Resort for several years.
Mr. Yorko was an active member of First Christian Church in Carmichaels where he was a Deacon and Trustee.
He was also a member of Carmichaels and Cumberland Township Volunteer Fire Company for years. He joined on July 15, 1962, and served as Treasurer from 1968 to 1975, as 2nd Lieutenant in 1977, as Captain from 1979 to 1983, and as President from 1984-1985. He also served as Bingo Chairman for 11 years.
Mr. Yorko was active in the King Coal Association and served as a Director from 1965 to 1983, as Treasurer from 1970 to 1973, and as Carnival Chairman from 1969 to 1980.
Mr. Yorko was an avid golfer in different golf leagues in Greene and Fayette counties.
On May 27, 1961, he married Loretta Zubal Yorko, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Ron (Raylene) Ferlin of Oliphant Furnace, Pa., Mrs. Thomas (Margaret) Denny of Wilson, New York, and Mrs. Paul (Karolee) Lombardi of Follansbee, West Virginia; six grandchildren: Ron Ferlin, Megan Denny, Katlin Denny, Kevin Denny, Mario Lombardi and Maria Lombardi; a brother, Glenn Yorko of Mather, Pa.; and sisters: Mary Cipcic of Cleveland, Ohio, and Bonnie Dodds of Brunswick, Ohio.
At the wishes of George Ray Yorko the services are private in First Christian Church, Car-michaels, with Rev. Bob Grove and Rev. Art Mace officiating.
Mr. Yorko suggested if donations are made that they be made to First Christian Church, Market Street, Carmichaels, PA 15320.

Anna P. Beercheck
Anna Pustay Beercheck, 99, of Perryopolis, Pa., died Friday, May 25, 2001, at 7 a.m. in The Parish House, Perryopolis.
She was born November 29, 1901, in Juniata, Pa., daughter of the late August Pustay and Mary Molnar Pustay.
Anna was a member of St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church and The Sokol Club both in Perryopolis.
She is survived two daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Mikula of Monessen, Pa., and Mrs. Martha Baluch of Perryopolis, Pa.; seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, May 29, at 9:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, with Rev. Fr. John T. Euker as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Perryopolis.
Wake Service will be held Monday evening at 8 p.m.
Barbara Best Bonner
Barbara Ann Best Bonner, 46, of Macon, Georgia, graduate of Hempfield High School and Seton Hill College Class of 1976, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2001, at her home.
She is survived by her father, Robert E. Best Jr. of Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pa.; her husband of 20 years, C. R. Bonner Jr.; sons: C. R. Bonner III "Land" and Robert Andrew Bonner "Drew"; her brother, Robert E. Best III, and her sister, Rebecca Ann Best.
A Private Memorial Service was held Wednesday, May 23, in Macon.
Ruth Dinsmore Burke
Ruth Dinsmore Burke, 85, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Friday, May 25, 2001, in Laurel Ridge Center, Uniontown.
She was born August 9, 1915, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., daughter of John C. Dinsmore and Mamie Alice Taylor Dinsmore.
Ruth was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Uniontown.
She was an avid golfer and bowler.
Her husband, William C. Burke, died in February 1996. Also deceased are a brother, Robert Dinsmore, a sister, Faye Stump, and her parents.
Surviving are her daughter, Carole L. Grey and husband, Jim Grey, of Dover, Delaware; two grandchildren: Scott Burke of Odenton, Maryland, and Robyn Grey of Richmond, Virginia; one sister, Norma Jean Lavery of Morgantown, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues Wednesday, May 30, in Calvary United Methodist Church, Clark Street, Uniontown, from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon. Services will then be held with the Rev. Thomas Whitehead, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Anthony R. Damasky
Anthony R. "Tony" Damasky, 59, formerly of North Huntingdon, who was born in McKeesport, Pa., a former Policeman for North Huntingdon Township and former owner/operator of Damasky Auto Body in North Huntingdon, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, in UPMC Passavant, McCandless, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He is survived by two daughters: Cheryl Damasky and Lauren Damasky both of North Versailles, Pa.; sisters: Connie Damasky Tarr of Glassport, Pa., and Debbie Damasky Jordan of Harrison City, Pa.; a brother, Larry Damasky of McKeesport; nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, Pa., on Saturday, May 26, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., when a Blessing Service was held and interment followed.
Angelo Gilbert DeLuca
Angelo Gilbert "Babe" DeLuca, 81, of Carmichaels, Pa., died Friday, May 25, 2001, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg.
He was born October 15, 1919, in Poland Mines, Greene County, Pa., son of John DeLuca and Catherine Porco DeLuca.
He was a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichaels and a retired businessman.
Three brothers, Frank Ross, Tony Ross, Ralph DeLuca, three sisters, Livia Rogers, Rose Pesuti, Mary Demopoulos, a grandson, Perry Angelo Russell, and his parents preceded him in death.
On June 8, 1940, he married Mary Cappellano DeLuca, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters: Rita Lefko of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Carol Russell of Carmichaels; three grandchildren: Angela Shrader, Audra Adams and Tom Russell Jr.; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Ross of New Port Richey, Florida.
Friends will be received at the PAUL MICHAEL LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., on Monday, May 28, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 1 p.m. in St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels, with Rev. Fr. John Bauer as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.

Bernice Lucille Carr Friend
Bernice Lucille Carr Friend, 74, of Uniontown, Pa., who was born in Sang Run, McHenry, Maryland, died Friday, May 25, 2001, in Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
She is survived by 11 children: Arnold Friend and Mark Friend both of Pompano, Florida, Richard Friend, James Friend, Jackson Friend, David Friend, Steven Friend, Mary Friend Uphold, Betty Friend Wardle, and Barbara Friend Kulenovic all of Uniontown, Pa., and Ruth Friend Hare of McHenry, Maryland; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, 21 North Second Street, Oakland, Maryland, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friends may gather at Western Maryland Christian Center, Friendsville, Maryland, on Monday, May 28, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Sang Run Cemetery, McHenry, Maryland.
Vitelle B. Harrison
Vitelle Boozer Harrison of Uniontown, Pa., died Saturday evening, May 26, 2001, in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown.
She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Selma Harrison, of Columbus, Ohio, and a son, Garland Harrison of Arkansas.
