Mary Ann Etling
Mary Ann Etling, 38, of Connellsville, Pa., died Saturday evening, October 7, 2000, at home comforted by her family.
She was born November 16, 1961, in Connellsville, Pa., a daughter of Wayne Etling and Dolores Canestrale Etling of Connellsville.
Mary Ann was a graduate of Connellsville High School Class of 1979 and Westmoreland County Community College in 1982, where she received an Associate’s Degree in Food Service Management and was consistently named to the dean’slList.
She was currently employed as the general manager of Wendy’s Restaurant in New Stanton.
She was a member of St. Rita’s Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, where she was active with various church functions.
She was also a member of Mount Pleasant Fireman’s Club.
Her brother, David Etling died in 1986.
Also deceased are three uncles, Pete "Chicken", Mike, and Matthew Canestrale, and her grandparents, Clarence and Nora Mae Etling and Calcino (Calcedonio) and Mary Canestrale.
In addition to her parents she is survived by two aunts: Rose Fetsco of Connellsville and Margaret Canestrale of Florida; two cousins: Ronald Fetsco and his wife, Connie, and their family of Connellsville and Mary Margaret Lynch and her husband, Fred Lynch, and their family of Florida.
She is also survived by four special friends: Judy Peary and her daughter, Katie, of Uniontown, Pa., Judy Mascioli of Connellsville, and Tammy Serbanjak of Jeannette, Pa.; also many other close friends.
Friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., today from 4 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from Noon to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held Wednesday, October 11, at 11:30 a.m.
A Funeral Mass follows at noon in St. Rita’s Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, with Rev. Fr. Frank Lesniowski as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Rita’s Cemetery, Connellsville.
Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Roland G. Kamoda
Roland G. Kamoda, 81, of Monongahela who was born in Charleroi, Pa., entered into rest on Friday, October 6, 2000, from Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Anna Jeanette Kamoda; a sister, Marge Kamoda VanDiver of Charleroi; a brother, David Kamoda of Greensboro, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes Inc., 825 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Pa., today form 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues on Tuesday in Church of The Nazarene, Monongahela, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Ann Oros Karwatske
Ann B. Oros Karwatske of Collier, Pa., died Thursday, October 5, 2000, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born August 9, 1921, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of George Oros and Amelia Gengel Oros.
Mrs. Karwatske was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church in Fairchance, Pa.
Her husband, August A. Karwatske, died November 30, 1976. Also deceased are two sisters, Helen Hovanec and Mary Aleksy, two brothers, George Oros Jr. and Daniel Oros, and her parents.
Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Sharon Glover of Abingdon, Maryland, Mrs. Joseph (Linda) Hensh of York Run, Pa., Mrs. Richard (Sheila) Budner of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. James (Kathy) Weglicki of Portland, Michigan; six grandchildren: Todd Hensh, Suzanne Hensh, Shannon Hensh, Brandi Hensh, Scott Glover and Michelle Glover; two great-grandchildren: Taylor Smoot and Skylar Smoot; two sisters: Isabel Balas and Velma Marcinko and her husband, Steven, all of Warren, Ohio; and one brother, Ronald Oros and his wife, Doris, of Twinsburg, Ohio.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today, October 9, until 9 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Fairchance, with Rev. Fr. Jude Mili as Celebrant.
Interment follows in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fairchance.
Christian Mothers recited the Rosary in the Funeral Home Sunday at 4 p.m.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m.
Katherine Olesko Liptock
Katherine Olesko Liptock, 85, of Filbert, Pa., passed away Sunday, October 8, 2000, at the home of her son, Robert, in New Salem.
She was born November 10, 1914, in Filbert, Pa., a daughter of George Olesko and Katherine Klimko Olesko.
Katherine was a member of The Church of The Madonna, Cardale, and The Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
Her husband, Andrew Liptock, died in 1998. Also deceased are daughters, Roberta Shwallon and Barbara Liptock, brothers, John and Steve Olesko, and her parents.
Surviving are three children: Robert Liptock of New Salem Road, Evelyn Crist of Youngstown, Pa., and Andrew Liptock of Uniontown, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters: Elizabeth Salosky of Talmidge, Ohio, and Anna Coddington of McKeesport, Pa.; and a brother, Andrew Olesko of Republic, Pa.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, October 11, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.

Etta Pauline Sapp Stull
Etta Pauline Sapp Stull, 85, of Smithfield, Pa., died Thursday, October 5, 2000, in Smithfield.
She was born November 25, 1914, in Kingwood, West Virginia, daughter of William Sapp and Ellen Josephine Richards Sapp.
Her husband, George Howard Stull Sr., and her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children: Madelyn Loretta Keenan, Uniontown, Pa., Maxine Louise Maynard, Newark, Ohio, Mary Ellen and her husband Louis Weeder, Blosser Hill, Point Marion, Pa., Shirley Ann Barone, Smithfield, George Howard Stull Jr. and his wife Gail, Cabbage Flats, Greensboro R.D., Pa., Ronald Blaine Stull and his wife Susan, Morgantown, West Virginia, and Carol LaVonne Lawson and her husband, Al Lawson, Smithfield; grandson, Stanley Alfred Keenan and wife Marcie, Lake Lynn, Pa., and 23 other grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sisters: Louise Carr, Lake Lynn, Pa., and Mary Mayle, Rochester, New York.

Francis H. Underwood
Francis H. "Pete" Underwood, 43, a resident of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, October 8, 2000.
He was the son of the late Charles H. Underwood and Peggy Jaco Underwood.
He is survived by a sister, Claudia H. Gulley of Morgantown, West Virginia, and a brother, Charles G. Underwood of Baltimore, Maryland.
A Memorial Service will be held (date will be announced).

Anna B. Charnovich Blaze, 88, of Library, who was born in Brier Hill, Fayette County, Pa., died Saturday, October 21, 2000, in The Greenery Nursing Home, Canonsburg.
She is survived by her beloved husband, John J. Blaze; children: John E. Charnovich of Finleyville, Pa., Mary C. Steele of California, Pa., Henry A. Blaze of Library, Pa., Barbara A. Ferry of Hookstown, Pa., and Joseph A. Blaze of Library; a sister, Julie Charnovich Novak of Detroit, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Lisa Yvette Nicholson Cuppett
Lisa Yvette Nicholson Cuppett, 23, of Messmore, Pa., passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 19, 2000, at her home.
She was born September 21, 1977, in Uniontown, Pa.
Lisa worked as a waitress at Hollywood Steak House in Uniontown.
A sister, Jamie Nicholson, her maternal grandparents, John and Pearl Vanek, and her paternal grandfather, Norman "Ike" Nicholson, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Michael Cuppett; her mother, Joann Vanek Kay and her husband, Cliff Kay, of Revere, Pa.; her father, Joseph Nicholson and his wife, Joanne Thomas, of Oliver, Pa.; her paternal grandmother, Carrie Nicholson of Uniontown, Pa.; four sisters: Dana Hughes and Kelly Jacobosky both of Revere, Pa., Shelly Priester and Roxanne Priester both of Uniontown, Pa.; many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
Friends will be received in the H. DAVID McELROY FUNERAL HOME, corner of Main and Blaine streets, McClellandtown, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, October 24, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service. The Rev. David Crable will officiate.

Rose Fier Fani
Rose Fier Fani, 87, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, October 21, 2000, in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown.
She was born October 3, 1913, in Salerno, Italy, daughter of Michael Fier and Mary Ferrara Fier.
Rose was a member of Central Christian Church, Uniontown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nello Fani Sr., a brother, Frank Fier, and her parents.
She is survived by her children: Mary Jo Shuba of Footedale, Pa., Nello Fani Jr. of Austintown, Ohio, Frank Fani of Masury, Ohio, Michael Fani of Brookfield, Ohio, Patty Neff and Linda Humphrey both of Manassas, Virginia; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Tony Fier of Mercer, Pa., and Christy Fier of Sharon, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to join with her Family for a Memorial Service which will be held Tuesday, October 24, at 11 a.m. in Central Christian Church, Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown. The Rev. Robert Grove will officiate.
