Kelli A. Maceyak Dzambo, 28, of Thornberry Drive, Pittsburgh, formerly of Scottdale, died Saturday Aug. 26, 2000, in St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born May 15, 1972, in Uniontown, a daughter of Thomas M. and Cheryl L. Snyder Maceyak of Scottdale. Kelli attended Pennsville Baptist Church and the North Hills Christian Church, Pittsburgh. She was a graduate of Southmoreland High School and a member of the homecoming queen court class of 1990. She was also a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Oakland, with a B.S. degree in health information management. She graduated summa cum laude with a QPA of 3.83. She attained the dean's list 12 consecutive terms and was a member of the American Health Information Management Association, the National Cancer Registrars Association, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Fraternity and Delta Zeta Social Sorority and was president of the Health Information Management Association her junior year. Kelli was a former medical records coordinator with Good Samaritan Hospital, Baltimore, Md., and Premier Medical Associates of Pittsburgh. In addition to her devoted parents, Thomas M. and Cheryl L. Snyder Maceyak of Scottdale, Kelli leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of three years, Dr. Allen A. Dzambo Jr., who she married May 31, 1997; her brother, Brian T. Maceyak and his wife, Sarah J. (Oliver) of Manassas, Va.; her maternal grandmother, Alberta F. Snyder of Mount Pleasant; her father- and mother-in-law, Allen A. Dzambo Sr. and Betty Ordelt Dzambo of Scottdale; and a number of aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Frank Maceyak, who died Dec. 21, 1998, and Catherine Kostelnik Maceyak, who died Dec. 19, 1992; and her maternal grandfather, Kenneth D. Snyder, who died Nov. 11, 1996. Kelli's family will receive friends in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, today from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 9 to 10:15 a.m. A brief prayer service will be held Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by Kelli's funeral service to be held at 11 a.m. in the Pennsville Baptist Church, with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Terry V. Murray and the Rev. William Ordelt Jr., pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Latrobe, co-officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the donor's choice, in loving memory of Kelli A. Maceyak Dzambo.
Rev. Louis W. Hausele, Redfield, N.Y.
The Rev. Louis W. Hausele, 57, of 91 Harvester Mill Road, Redfield, N.Y., died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at his home. Born in Mount Pleasant, the son of the late Louis S. and Violet (Stimmell) Hausele, he lived in Redfield since 1987. He was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School and Buffalo Bible Institute. He was an ordained Wesleyan minister for 31 years and pastor of the Redfield Wesleyan and Redfield Community Churches. He was also a supervisor for North Country Morris Protective Services for the past 20 years. He was predeceased by an infant grandson. He is survived by his wife, of 36 years, Joyce Madsen Hausele; two daughters, Christina Warren of Sandy Creek, N.Y. and Deborah Sedore of Syracuse, N.Y.; two sons, Philip of Fulton, N.Y. and Louis S. of Fort Hood, Texas; two sisters, Cathy Long of Scottdale and Carolyn Minnick of Mount Pleasant and eight grandchildren. Services were held Aug. 24 at the Pulaski Wesleyan Church in Pulaski, N.Y. with interment at the Redfield Cemetery. Mary Lou McMahon, Lenexa, Kan.
Mary Lou McMahon, 86, of Lenexa, Kan., passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam, Kansas. The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the AMOS FAMILY CHAPEL of Lenexa. Private family burial will be in Leavenworth National Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. McMahon was born May 8, 1914, in Connellsville to Charles and Mable Utts. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. McMahon on Jan. 17, 1988, and her daughter, Denise McMahon, in 1960. Survivors include her two sons, John of Irwin and Brian of Lenexa, Kan.; her daughter, Renee Judge of Lenexa, Kan.; her seven grandchildren, Shannon, Brianna, Julie, Kendra, Shaun, Krista and Lindsey; and her three great-grandchildren, Brennah, Karlyn and Morgan.
Robert D. Moore, DeBray, Fla.
Robert Dale Moore, 61, of Smyrna Drive, DeBray, Fla., formerly of Alverton, died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, in Orlando, Fla. He was born Nov. 17, 1938, in Ruffsdale, a son of the late Joseph H. and Margaret Bittner Moore. Robert attended the Church of the Open Door of Connellsville and the Grace Baptist Church of Deltona, Fla. He was also a volunteer missionary for the New Tribe Mission of Florida. He was a former machinist with Robertshaw Controls, New Stanton. Robert was a veteran of the Armed Forces serving with the U.S. Army. Robert is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Metcalf Moore, who he married July 2, 1961; four daughters, Belinda L. Mulhorn and her husband, Scott, of Scottdale, Marla K. Stout and her husband, Robert, of Mount Pleasant, Darla E. Byers and her husband, Clinton, of Scottdale and Brenda S. Lessman and her husband, Thomas, of Connellsville; 11 grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters, Charles Moore and his wife, JoAnn of Alverton, Shirley Branthoover and her husband, Marvin, of Alverton, Mary Louise Moore of Connellsville, Arlene Ohler and her husband, Richard, of McMurry, Pa., and Kenneth Moore and his wife, Colleen, of Mount Pleasant. Andrew E. Kocik Sr., Connellsville
Andrew E. "Mutney" Kocik Sr., 77, of Connellsville, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, in Scottdale Manor Rehabilitation Center, Scottdale. He was born Aug. 29, 1922, in Leisenring, a son of the late Anthony and Anna (Simko) Zerechak Cochic. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a coal miner for U.S. Steel Corp. He was a veteran of the Armed Forces serving as a corporal with the U.S. Army's 854th "Spearheaders" Engineer Battalion Aviation, that served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. His unit participated in the Kwajalien, Guam and Okinawa campaigns. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Catherine (Balaban) Kocik, whom he married Sept. 7, 1946; two sons, Andrew Jr. and Bernard Kocik, both of Connellsville; a daughter, Mrs. Eileen McDowell and husband, Paul, of Connellsville; three grandchildren of whom he was most proud, Adam, Katie and Sean McDowell, all of Connellsville; and two half-sisters, Sophia Zerechak of Leisenring and Madelyn Cochick of Florida. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Anton Kocik (1933); a sister, Teresa (Cochick) Hanchuck (1993); and the following half-brothers and half sisters, Anna (Zerechak) Cochick, Joseph-Zerechak, Martin Zerechak, Samuel Zerechak, Mary (Cochick) Wardzella, Anne (Cochick) Stetz, Katie (Cochick) Oraski, John Cochick and George Cochick. Sara M. Shirey, 83, of New Stanton, went to her eternal rest Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Linesville, Pa. She was born Sept. 5, 1916, in East Huntingdon Township, a daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine Thomas Harrold. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Alverton Church of God. Her memories will be cherished by her family, her daughter, Mary Catherine Cochenour of Linesville; her two grandchildren, Isaac Cochenour and wife, Deborah, of Tarrs and Cynthia Lisbon and husband, Jacob, of New Stanton; two great-grandchildren, Vicki Hustek and Bobby Heider; seven great-great-grandchildren, Derek, Jeff, Zachary, Alicia, Cynthia, Katelyn and Kandice; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Shirey in 1987; three brothers, Bobby, James and Harry Harrold; and a sister, Anna Reeder. Bernice M. Dumbauld, 81, of Connellsville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, in Highlands Hospital. She was born March 19, 1919, in Tyrone, W.Va., a daughter of the late Colbert and Minnie Dunn Wolfe. She was a Protestant by faith and she was a homemaker all of her life. Some of the pleasures in her life were listening to music, attending bingo and going on camping trips. She also enjoyed the company of her children and grandchildren. She is survived by six sons, Harold (Bill) Lewis and his wife, Marjorie, of Normalville, Edward Dumbauld and his wife, Dottie, of Abbington, Md., Robert E. Dumbauld and his wife, Margie, of Normalville, Kenneth (Dink) Dumbauld and his wife, Debbie, of Morrell, and Charles W. Dumbauld and his wife, Diane, of South Connellsville; three daughters, Joanne Ritenour of Normalville, Rose Bierer of Dunbar, and Tammy Campbell and her husband, Fred, of Morrell; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, John E. Dumbauld in 1974; six brothers, Dallas, Roy, Lloyd, Ray, Kenzy and Harry Wolfe; three sisters, Violet Cross, Elizabeth Sanders, and Ollie Murray. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Friends will be received in the VITO C MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. Helen J. (Fronek) Zadylak, 85, of Connellsville died early Wednesday morning Aug. 30, 2000, in Harmon House Care Center, Mount Pleasant. She was born Aug. 28, 1915, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Martin and Anna (Fernandel) Fronek. Helen was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, and Christian Mothers. She was a graduate of Dunbar Township High School. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper for Canada Dry Whistle Bottling Co., and later as a teacher's aide for Connellsville Junior High West. She is survived by two sons, Edward Zadylak and wife, Stephanie, of Connellsville and Robert Zadylak of Connellsville; and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Sapanara of St. Petersburg, Fla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Zadylak, Sr. (1974), five brothers, Martin, Albert, John, Andrew and the Rev. Joseph Fronek; and four sisters, Anne Fronek, Mary Waters, Catherine Kurka, and an infant sister, Maria Fronek. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the PAUL G.
